Celebrities have access to designer duds and talented stylists, but that doesn't always mean they get it right! Wonderwall.com is rounding up the wildest looks of 2022 so far, starting with this one… Remember this bizarre Kim Kardashian look in April, comprised of a flame-emblazoned wrap dress paired with red Balenciaga pantashoes? It turns out, it was actually Kanye West's idea. Kim referenced the outfit, which the internet mercilessly ridiculed, on an episode of "The Kardashians." "The internet destroyed me and was like, 'Haha, this is what she gets not being with Kanye,'" she revealed in a confessional. "'Finally, one look she dresses herself, the Kanye outfits must have ran out.'" But it actually was a Kanye pick, Kim explained, "The tea is, this was one of the outfits he styled and picked out. So if you guys knew that and we were together you guys would think it was the coolest outfit in the world. Everyone is so f—— fickle."

_
Leave it to Emma Corrin to make a strange fashion statement! On Oct. 25, the "The Crown" star attended the BFI London Film Festival premiere of "My Policeman" in a whimsical design from J.W. Anderson's Spring 2023 collection: a single-shoulder dress featuring an image of an enlarged goldfish, a massive knotted strap and a bubble-style hem crafted to resemble a plastic bag — just like when you win a fish at a fair or buy one from a pet store.
_
Heidi Klum wore a puzzling hybrid dress-meets-leggings creation by designer Christian Cowan — who calls it an "aubergine sequin gown with inbuilt hosiery" — to the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards in Santa Monica, California, on April 9. Next, take a closer look at the fully enclosed leg…
_
Here's a closer look at the sequined "inbuilt hosiery" that was part of the bizarre Christian Cowan look Heidi Klum wore to the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards in Santa Monica, California, on April 9. She buckled her gold lock-embellished black heels right over it!

Jurnee Smollett was on hand for the Louis Vuitton show during Paris Fashion Week on Oct. 4 in this perplexing ensemble. Her structured crop top included metallic detailing, which the star paired with a chunky belt tied around her bare waist before adding wide legged cropped trousers tucked into knee-high boots.
_
Joey King delivered a flagrant miss at the "Bullet Train" premiere in London on July 20. Her Marc Jacobs ensemble included a long-sleeved blue turtleneck paired with a bold checkered floor-length skirt. And just in case that wasn't weird enough, she topped things off with Paula Rowan leather opera gloves.
_
Kim Kardashian stepped out during Milan Fashion Week in Italy on Feb. 23 in this ill-fitting gold men's jumpsuit by Prada, leaving it unbuttoned to show off the tiny black Prada Re-Nylon top she rocked underneath. Later in the year on an episode of "The Kardashians," she read a text that ex-husband Kanye West sent her about the look, which he hated: "The orange made me so mad. Would have went to jail before I went out in that."
_
A turtleneck plus feathers equals… a fashion disaster. Nicole Kidman proved that point in pale green Prada at the Los Angeles premiere of "The Northman" in Los Angeles on April 18. Her long-sleeved column-style frock included a bizarre black turtleneck detail, pink feathers at the shoulders and floral embellishments along the skirt — a truly bizarre combo.
_
This Brad Pitt look at the "Bullet Train" premiere in Berlin on July 19 raised a whole lot of eyebrows. The hunk opted for a very unexpected piece of clothing — a skirt! The dark brown linen skirt by Haans Nicholas Mott was paired with a matching jacket and a wrinkled mauve linen top. Finishing off this very funky outfit? A pair of chunky combat boots.
_
Though it looked like Tessa Thompson was rocking dark denim as she arrived at the "Jimmy Kimmel Live" studios in Hollywood on June 22, her trousers were actually white with an image of dark jeans on top of them. Yep, the star wore these crazy trousers with an equally puzzling top that looked like a dark long-sleeved turtleneck with a tiny strappy tank top over it in a mustard yellow hue.
_
Justin Timberlake turned up at the Louis Vuitton Menswear Spring/Summer 2023 show during Paris Fashion Week on June 23 in these comically wide-legged pants. He paired the trousers with a bold printed polo for a full funky outfit.
_
The most puzzling look at this year's Oscars? That goes to Maggie Gyllenhaal, who arrived on the red carpet in this structured Schiaparelli design featuring bizarre gold embellishments that looked like coat hooks.
_
Camila Cabello rocked this truly bizarre sweatsuit — orange coordinates included fuzzy pom-poms at the sleeves — while grabbing dinner with her mom in Santa Monica, California, on June 25. Cream slides completed this incredibly risky look.
_
Kim Kardashian showed up at the SKIMS popup in Miami on March 19 in this bizarre futuristic look — a bikini top and high-waisted trousers in a shiny silver fabric paired with matching boots. Making matters worse? Those ridiculous oversized sunglasses.
_
Dove Cameron took quite the fashion risk at the Billboard Music Awards on May 15. Unfortunate, this wild Ashlyn gown still has us scratching our heads. The frock featured one of the strangest cutouts we've seen lately (and that's saying a lot!) — a plunging neckline that fell below her belly button.
_
PJ couture? Gwyneth Paltrow's look at the A Dreamy Evening with Goopglow event in East Hampton City, New York, on July 18 was certainly memorable. The dress code for the event was pajamas, so it was no surprise when Gwyneth turned up in this bold yellow Olivia von Halle three-piece set with tacky neon green slippers from the same brand.
_
Bella Hadid seemingly sought fashion advice from Guy Fieri when she stepped out in New York City on Jan. 26 in this look: jeans, a lime green long-sleeved shirt underneath a black sweater paired with boots and a beanie with flames on it.
_
That's a whole lot of green, Kate Hudson. The star committed to the bright hue when she stepped out in New York City on Jan. 25 for an appearance on "The Drew Barrymore Show" in this cheery lime turtleneck paired with an even brighter neon skirt. But that wasn't enough for Kate — she also added green heels! It's not that easy being green, we guess!
_
The over-the-top Elie Saab selection that Sandra Bullock wore to the premiere of "The Lost City" in Los Angeles on March 21 still has us scratching our heads. Though the ruffled dress itself was great with its plunging neckline, thigh-high slit and ombre effect that flowed from pale pink to bright fuchsia, the styling missed the mark: She topped it with a black blazer and thigh-high leather boots for a completely mismatched vibe.
_
Kathryn Newton attended the Marvel Studios press line on day three of Comic-Con in San Diego on July 23 in this outlandish set of coordinates from Prada — a cropped long-sleeved blouse worn underneath what looked like a shimmery bralette in the same fabric as her pleated miniskirt. Sparkly silver platform sandals completed this puzzling look.
_
What do we have here? We're still not entirely sure, but Heidi Klum turned up at DIRECTV's Maxim Electric Nights Big Game Experience Super Bowl party in Los Angeles on Feb. 12 in this barely-there lavender dress from Dundas's Spring 2022 line. If it wasn't already a strange enough choice, her decision to top it with a shaggy tan jacket and add clear heels made this a look we wish we could forget.
_
Florence Pugh's look at the BAFTA Awards in London on March 13 was perplexing to say the least. The Carolina Herrera design started out simple enough — a long-sleeved minidress — but from behind it featured a low back with a gargantuan pale pink tulle bow at the base.
_
Emily Ratajkowski stepped out in New York City on Feb. 15 in this unfortunate yellow and black zebra-striped coat. She paired the befuddling outerwear with a black turtleneck, low-waisted ripped jeans and sneakers for an odd street style moment.
_
Justin Bieber didn't take a page from his wife's fashion book on Grammys night in Las Vegas on April 3. Instead, he rocked this comically baggy Balenciaga getup anchored by a hot pink beanie and clown-like shoes.
_
Adriana Lima rocked this bizarre maternity gown at the Cannes Film Festival, turning up at the "Elvis" premiere on May 25 in the golden Nicolas Jebran creation. The frock featured draping, pleating and cutouts galore — including at the hips, down her baby bump and at the chest.
_
Puffer coats had a major moment during winter 2022. Gigi Hadid sported this bold silver-blue version that looked like it had a neck pillow attached while leaving a fashion show in New York City on Feb. 13, pairing it with equally statement-worthy tie-dye trousers and sneakers.
_
The worst dressed star at the Academy Awards in Hollywood on March 27? That honor went to Jada Pinkett Smith, who picked this over-the-top Jean Paul Gaultier Couture disaster with a high neck and long sleeves and a train that trailed behind her on the red carpet.
_
Kim Kardashian didn't attend the 2022 Academy Awards but she did turn up at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party in Beverly Hills on March 27 in this, well… very blue Balenciaga look. The skin-tight highlighter-blue dress included glove-style sleeves and a dramatic train that left many people scratching their heads.
_
Ansel Elgort sported this bizarre teal blue coat featuring enormous puffed sleeves, plenty of pockets and a wide neck with room to store an orange hood he pulled up while walking with pal Lewis Hamilton in New York City on Feb. 5.
_
Hunter Schafer rocked this weird Prada pick at the Vanities Party: A Night for Young Hollywood in Los Angeles on March 22. Her jumpsuit featured long sleeves and a wide-legged baggy silhouette in an all-over print that just really missed the mark.
_
Bella Hadid wore this odd pairing — a blue-and-white collared sweatshirt with a mismatched knee-length plaid skirt — with high socks and black Adidas sneakers while stepping out during Paris Fashion Week in March.
_
Billie Eilish hit the Grammys in Las Vegas on April 3 in a look that was certainly meme-worthy — a Rick Owens black number with a massive cape detail over a short black dress complete with a half train. Wrapping things up? Some silky, slinky boots. Why?
_
Julia Fox showed off one of the strangest tops we've seen all year when she stepped out in New York City on June 22 in this funky white V-shaped creation. She added super-low-waisted baggy jeans and square-toed boots to complete the look.
_
While out and about in New York City on March 8, Alicia Keys attempted a monochromatic pink outfit, which has been successful in the past (see Jessica Simpson or Kim Kardashian). But her take — a hot pink coat over top a capri-length jumpsuit with a plunging neckline, all paired with hot pink heels to boot — just didn't work.
_
Demi Moore served up one of the oddest accessories of the year at the Saint Laurent fashion show in Paris on March 1. Her black suit sans undershirt was great, but we weren't fans of those bright blue gloves.
_
One of the oddest looks we saw on the red carpet this year came from Lori Harvey, who sported this unconventional silhouette at the "Me Time" premiere in Los Angeles on Aug. 23. The vintage Greg Lauren piece included an inexplicable hoodie, a lace-up detail at the neck and an otherwise fitted dress with asymmetrical striping. She tried to elevate things with Femme LA gold bangles and hoop earrings but unfortunately, we really couldn't get over that hood.
_
Jared Leto served up a flagrant fashion miss at the SAG Awards in Santa Monica, California, on Feb. 27. The pale blue color of his Gucci suit was fine, but that wrinkly silk was distracting, and he certainly didn't need that dramatic velvet tie.
_
Mary J. Blige walked the red carpet at the TIME100 Gala in New York City on June 8 in this over-the-top Gaurav Gupta creation. What started as a minidress included cutouts and off-the-shoulder sleeves that billowed into a dramatic cape-like detail.
_
Dua Lipa sported this truly bizarre Y Project dress while out and about in New York City on March 1. The long-sleeved and collared funky frock included a circular cut-out at the waist that bared a little midriff — and if that wasn't quirky enough, pairing it with a baseball hat, high socks and chunky sneakers sealed the deal.
_
Ciara's Roberto Cavalli pick for the Billboard Women in Music Awards in Los Angeles on March 2 was all kinds of wrong. From the inexplicable high neck to the thick leather belt to the numerous cut-outs and slits all over the animal-print fabric, there was just way too much happening, leaving us wondering why she wore it at all.
_
Camila Mendes turned up at the Miu Miu show during Paris Fashion Week on March 8 in this odd combo — a cropped white blouse and denim skirt. And if that wasn't quirky enough, she added chunky black platforms and a black purse.
_
Was there something in the air at the Miu Miu show? Vanessa Hudgens arrived at the event during Paris Fashion Week on March 8 in this equally, if not stranger getup — a checkered blazer, a printed bralette and trouser-inspired shorts — plus chunky black sandals. If the shorts weren't bad enough, the contrasting prints and crop top addition ensured this one was a miss.
_
Millie Bobby Brown arrived at the 2022 BAFTA Awards in London on March 13 in this unfortunate Louis Vuitton getup — a peekaboo lace bandeau, an unnecessary peplum layer and random slits accessorized with opera gloves.
_
Christina Milian wore this questioinable bubble-emblazoned frock to the Sixth Annual Create and Cultivate 100 List Launch Party in Los Angeles on March 2. The dark blue and teal dress included a bubble motif throughout that was certainly one of the most unique themes this year.
_
Monochromatic moments have been trending this year, but that was still no excuse for this very bold but unfortunate look from Kristen Bell. The actress rocked red leather pants with a matching puffer coat outside the "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" studios in Hollywood on Jan. 25, adding heeled white boots to finish the wild ensemble.
_
Camila Cabello served up a Canadian tuxedo on a whole new level in this all-denim Diesel ensemble she wore during her "Today" show performance in New York City on April 12. The outfit comprised of a denim duster coat with a multi-hued denim top and high-waisted crossover baggy jeans got even more blue when she accessorized with gloves and boots in the fabric. Yikes!
_
Timothee Chalamet loves a fashion risk, but his look at the Venice International Film Festival in Italy at the "Bones & All" photocall on Sept. 2 didn't pay off. His Celine Homme ensemble included a floral-embellished cardigan worn atop a vintage band tee, baggy camouflage cargo shorts and ankle boots for an all-over trying-too-hard vibe.
_
Chanel doesn't always equate to fabulous fashion. Take this Penelope Cruz look, for example. The long-sleeved floor-length black-and-white-printed frock from the fashion house was some questionable couture that put her on many worst dressed lists after she wore it to the "Official Competition" film premiere in Madrid on Feb. 21.
_
Emily Ratajkowski's bizarre Met Gala pick on May 2 left us with more questions than answers. Mainly: What did this have to do with the theme "In America: An Anthology of Fashion"?! The beauty rocked a vintage Versace number that first went down the runway in 1992 — it featured a multicolored beaded bodice paired with an equally vibrant high-low skirt crafted from various fabrics, textures and shades plus and a neckline that doubled as a bold necklace.
