October is upon us! It's time for the weather to get chillier and the vibe to get spookier. But before everyone suits up in costume for Halloween, Wonderwall.com is running down the stars we wish were joking with these outfits. We're rarely rendered speechless by bad fashion, but we just need a minute to digest Sigourney Weaver's Rome Film Festival attire on Oct. 24. The Off-White look came straight from the runway, and Sigourney's take added matching trousers in that incredibly busy print. But even that wasn't all that bad. Nope, what took this look over the edge was, well… those shoes. Keeping reading to get a better view of the bottom portion of her look and see which stars fared better this month.

Sigourney Weaver accesorized her Off-White look with these pale yellow boots inexplicably laced with what might be… a green scarf? Regardless, there's just so much to unpack from this ensemble that we're at a loss.

One of our favorite looks of the month? That goes to Lily Collins, who was lovely in this sweet ruffled Giambattista Valli dress at the GO Campaign event in Los Angeles on Oct. 20. The off-the-shoulder minidress featured plenty of frills and an adorable double-bow detail on the bodice and paired perfectly with those black strappy heels. Next up, we'll check out her hair and makeup…
We loved Lily Collins' cute top knot selection. Her tresses looked artfully messy and paired well with her demure makeup shades.
Yikes. Amber Valletta opted for all-over Saint Laurent at the InStyle Awards in Los Angeles on Oct. 22, which certainly didn't pay off. From the chainmail mesh cap-sleeved top showing off her black bra to those high-waisted trousers to the bizarre bow tied around her waist to… well, those hideous gold snakeskin shoes, we could spot this miss a mile away.
It's probably for the best that Heidi Klum's disastrous Zac Posen gown blended in with the step-and-repeat behind her. The star wore this mess of a red frock (that inexplicably gave way to a pink shade halfway down the skirt) to the amfAR gala in Los Angeles on Oct. 18. Don't even get us started on what's happening with those massive sleeves and gigantic flowers under her armpits.
Julia Roberts has brought her fashion A-game lately and her look at the premiere of "Homecoming" in Los Angeles on Oct. 24 was no exception! The movie star rocked this exquisite hot pink one-piece by Brandon Maxwell, complete with long sleeves and wide-legged pants, bringing the perfect pop of color to the event's black carpet. Next up, we'll take a better look at her accessories…
We loved the hue of Julia Roberts' Brandon Maxwell getup. Makings things even better? Her jewelry selections! From the layered necklaces to the pops of turquoise bringing yet another shade to this lovely look, this ensemble gets an A+.
Danielle Bradbery's suit-jacket-style minidress wasn't bad. We weren't fans of the asymmetrical hemline and the weird length of the sleeves, but it was hardly enough to warrant a miss on the CMT Artists of the Year red carpet in Nashville on Oct. 17. But then we saw those shoes! Let's take a closer look next…
Yikes. Danielle Bradbery's bizarre shoe selection lost us completely. They appeared to have a mesh netting sock-like addition that went up her ankle, yet it was still somehow attached to the heel? And if that wasn't enough, the netting and shoes were both studded, just bringing more attention to the fashion misstep.
Carrie Underwood opted to dress her baby bump in bright blue at the CMT Artists of the Year event in Nashville on Oct. 17. This sparkly special minidress was by Tadashi Shoji and featured plenty of sequins that paired perfectly with her silver strappy sandals.
Would it be a miss list without Chloe Grace Moretz? The actress attended the "Suspiria" premiere in Los Angeles on Oct. 24 in this hideous lime green and black frock by Miu Miu. Though that green shade and her dark lip do give us festive pre-Halloween vibes, for a movie premiere, this look was all wrong.
Pink lady! Ellen Pompeo's Calvin Klein ensemble at the ELLE Women in Hollywood event in Los Angeles on Oct. 15 was filled with our favorite color palette — plenty of blushes and pinks! From the pale blush long-sleeved top to the warmer pink knee-length skirt to those incredibly velvet pointy-toe pumps, we adored everything about this look.
Where do we begin with Kaley Cuoco's InStyle Awards gown from Oct. 22? Its shiny iridescent shades? Its floral appliqués? Its puffy sleeves? It doesn't really matter where we start, because we'll always come to the same conclusion about this Kate Spade frock — she should have passed!
More fabulous floral! Constance Wu wore this feminine frock by Brock Collection to the InStyle Awards in Los Angeles on Oct. 22. We loved the strapless gown's delicate flower print and the way Constance kept her accessories minimal to keep the attention on the beautiful dress.
Natasha Lyonne served up a pretty bizarre ensemble at the Fashion Group International "Night of Stars" Gala in New York City on Oct. 25. The unfortunate Kenzo getup featured a super-high neckline, long sleeves and a button detail down the front that made it look like it maybe just didn't fit and she gave up on buttoning it at the thigh.
Gigi Hadid's street style is unparalleled, but she outdid herself in this all-white ensemble. The model stepped out in New York City on Oct. 23 in a double-breasted white suit jacket and trousers combo by Ralph Lauren, which she paired with pointy-toed bronze heels, a ponytail and a red lip for a sharp and sophisticated look.
Bizarre sheer detailing that dips below the belly button? Check. Sunglasses on the red carpet? Check. Completely unnecessary fingerless gloves? Check. It's like Paris Hilton ensured her spot on the miss list with this heinous getup while attending a skincare event in Milan on Oct. 20. Job well-done, Paris! That's not hot.
Claire Foy attended the premiere of "The Girl in the Spider's Web" at the Rome Film Festival on Oct. 24 wearing this beautiful floral confection. From the Elie Saab design's plunging neckline to the long sleeves and very subtle sheer paneling that still featured floral detail, the gown was glamorous and eye-catching from head to toe.
Ordinarily, the combination of pale pink and velvet would be an instant hit. Unfortunately, these elements of Maren Morris' CMT Artists of the Year getup on Oct. 17 turned this into a very different story. Her Raisa & Vanessa minidress started out wonderfully — with that rich fabric, pretty color and even a funky asymmetrical neckline — but then the sleeves took a very different turn. With enough feathers to fly off the red carpet, the dress was ruined. But we do have to say that those pink velvet platform heels are phenomenal!
Katy Perry donned this abysmal Pepto-Bismol-colored creation. From the half-skirt to the shiny pink fabric to those sheer gloves, we weren't feeling any part of it when she arrived at the QVC "FFANY Shoes on Sale" Gala in New York City on Oct. 11.
Katy Perry's beauty look was significantly better than her ensemble at the QVC "FFANY Shoes on Sale" Gala in New York City on Oct. 11. We liked her updo and that sweet headband with the pink bow as well as her dark-pink all-over eyeshadow and lip shade.
We've missed Keira Knightley on the red carpet! Especially considering how great she looked when she stepped out in this stunning silver and white Chanel creation at the "Colette" premiere at BFI London Film Festival on Oct. 11, reminding us of her sartorial skills. The top kept things casual and covered with its high neck and long sleeves while the pleated white skirt dressed things up perfectly.
We were disappointed by Charlize Theron's look at the Porter's Incredible Women Gala in Los Angeles on Oct. 9. The movie star opted for this ill-fitting Giambattista Valli creation comprised of a baggy sheer-sleeved top, a camisole with a plunging neckline and a skirt with way too many frilly, tiered layers. Making matters worse? Those boots she put underneath. Sorry, Charlize, but this look is definitely a miss.
Our new favorite style crush? Timothee Chalamet! The actor donned Louis Vuitton at the "Beautiful Boy" premiere in Los Angeles — bright red Louis Vuitton, to be exact. We didn't even care that he broke our no-sneakers-on-the-red-carpet rule because he pulled off those chunky white kicks so flawlessly.
It pains us to put Sarah Paulson in the miss category, but there's a first time for everything! Sarah typically takes excellent fashion risks, but this odd black frock's tail-like hemline fell flat for us. Add to that the Coach dress' sheer sleeves, button details and ruffled hemline and you've got a fashion miss on your hands that even Sarah couldn't salvage.
Sophie Turner couldn't have looked cooler at a New York Comic Con event on Oct. 6. The "Game of Thrones" beauty sported Isabel Marant for the occasion, more specifically this stellar striped sweater and a pair of leather pants with zippered detailing. Finishing off the look? A pair of lace-up heels by Jacquemus.
We're not quite sure what's going on here, but we don't like it one bit! Abbie Cornish arrived at the Ninth Annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic in Los Angeles on Oct. 6 in this disastrous getup. The shiny green all-over leaf-print motif lost us, as did the chunky black belt she paired with the frock.
Kendall Jenner gave us modern-day Cinderella vibes in this Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini number she wore to the Ninth Annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic on Oct. 6. From the low, square neckline to the structured shape and corset-like bodice, the minidress was a breath of fresh air. The unique frock was complemented perfectly by her white Ellery slingbacks.
Hailey Baldwin attended a Tommy Hilfiger event in Japan on Oct. 8 in — what else? — Tommy Hilfiger, but we weren't impressed with this combo. From the cargo pants to the crop top to the oversized suit jacket, this look combined one too many trends for our taste.
Back-to-back Givenchy gorgeousness! Julianne Moore tapped the designer twice this month. For the GMHC Fall Gala on Oct. 9, the stylish star sported a white and black leopard-print top with a plunging neckline paired with high-waisted pants and strappy black sandals for a look polished to perfection.
Tyra Banks attended the American Music Awards on Oct. 9 in one of the strangest getups of the night — this mismatched ensemble complete with a dress shirt, thick belt and fringed Gucci skirt. Topping things off and sealing the deal on this miss? That bizarre hat!
Alison Brie donned this pretty white and floral design by Brock Collection at the Porter's Incredible Women Gala in Los Angeles on Oct. 8. The dress started out with tiny straps and a corset-like bodice and gave way to a peplum-like ruffled layer of floral fabric with a pencil skirt underneath. She completed her look with strappy gold sandals.
Zoe Kravitz rarely disappoints, but this Prada ensemble she wore to a Tiffany jewelry event in New York City on Oct. 9 really underwhelmed. The usually sartorially savvy star donned a black crop top with a belted brown skirt in a snoozeworthy outfit unworthy of her beauty.
Golden goddess! Martha Stewart sure looked chic at the Hudson River Park Gala in New York City on Oct. 11. The icon donned a matching gold two-piece ensemble, which she accessorized with gold heels and gold and turquoise accessories.
Carey Mulligan served up some major '80s vibes at the "Wildlife" premiere in Los Angeles on Oct. 9… but not in the best way. Her puffy-sleeved, wild-printed frock seemed more costume-like than movie premiere couture.
We're obsessed with Hilary Swank's A.L.C. getup! The star attended a screening of "What They Had" in Los Angeles on Oct. 9 in this funky, fabulous design featuring a one-shouldered cropped top complete with a long pleated tail and high-waisted trousers to match. She finished things off with pointy-toe black pumps and a cool curly hairstyle.
Eek! Congrats on the BMI medal, Natasha Bedingfield, but this look wasn't a winner. The singer attended the BMI Awards in London on Oct. 1 in this monstrous getup. The dress, made up of different yet equally loud patterned fabrics, was bad enough, but the bulky boots cemented this look as a miss.
Pantsuits are here to stay, and if they look like Emilia Clarke's, we're all for it! The star donned a black Balmain pantsuit sans shirt to the "My Dinner with Herve" premiere in Los Angeles on Oct. 4, adding simple black heels and rocking an updo for the occasion.
From the front, Amber Heard's black and gold Ralph & Russo American Music Awards gown on Oct. 9 was a dream complete with a plunging neckline, thigh-high slit and a dramatic tulle embellishment on the bodice. But from the back, things were an entirely different story…
The back of Amber Heard's Ralph & Russo dress truly lost us. The haphazard panels of tulle were unnecessary and ruined an otherwise lovely ball gown.
Amandla Stenberg brought a pop of color to a fall night at a "The Hate You Give" screening on Oct. 7. The star rocked a look straight from the runway — this orange and yellow Sies Marjan combo of a long-sleeved crop top and shiny skirt. She completed her look with those killer bright yellow pumps and a funky white feathered clutch.
Heidi Klum had one of our least favorite looks from the American Music Awards on Oct. 9 — this black frock by Julien MacDonald. The dress had too much going on — from the strange netting to the beading and the fringe — and seemed to come straight from our fashion nightmares.
Julianne Moore's style was on-point this month! The star arrived at a screening of "The Happy Prince" in New York City on Oct. 8 in this gorgeous Givenchy design. From the long sleeves to the pleats to the zig-zag patterned hot pink design, this dreamy dress stood out. And we loved the way she paired it with funky pointy-toe heels to complete an impossibly cool look.
We love the Countess as much as the next Bravo devotee, but what's going on around her neck?! "The Real Housewives of New York" star Luann de Lesseps sported a navy blue one-piece with a distracting teal fur-like collar that made her look at the Global Lyme Alliance Gala in New York City on Oct. 11 a major miss.
Kelsea Ballerini was one of the best dressed stars of the 2018 American Music Awards, standing out in this bright yellow and black Nicolas Jebran minidress. We don't know what we liked more — the unexpected color combination or that zebra-printed sash!
Even though Gigi Hadid managed to somehow pull off this look, we're still marking it as a miss. This new take on the Canadian tuxedo — tight denim shorts and a denim blazer — by Matthew Adams Dolan was definitely a fashion risk that almost didn't work. We truly hope this doesn't become a trend, since Gigi is probably the only person on Earth could make this work.
Rita Ora on the hit list! We know, we know… this doesn't happen often! But the star's divine red look at the City of Hope Gala in Los Angeles on Oct. 11 was flawless — from the halter neckline to the way she rocked a matching hot red lip with her slicked back hairdo. Bravo, Rita!
Not so marvelous, Rachel Brosnahan! The "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" star attended the Tiffany jewelry collection launch in New York City on Oct. 9 in this lackluster Caroline Herrera design. Though the color was nice, the tiny strip of floral embellishments and those extra-long black straps ruined this look for us.
Cara Delevingne kept things cool in all-black at the launch of the Burberry Her fragrances in London on Oct. 10. The supermodel suited up in head-to-toe Burberry — a three-piece suit that she paired with pointy-toe boots — for an edgy yet excellent ensemble.
