Happy birthday, January babies! In honor of this month's crop of stars who are celebrating birthdays, Wonderwall.com is taking a look at their fashion hits and misses. First up is Jan. 5 birthday girl Suki Waterhouse! The beauty has been known to wear her fair share of fab looks, but this showing at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party in Beverly Hills in February 2020 missed the mark. The lingerie-inspired Fendi selection may have been plucked straight from the fashion house's 2019 runway, but the mint green undergarments and petticoat-like totally sheer overlay — except for the inexplicable stripes below the hips, at the knees and at the hemline — didn't translate to the red carpet.
Keep reading to see a dress from Suki that we loved, plus more memorable style from celebs with January birthdays…

Our very favorite Suki Waterhouse fashion moments was back in 2018 at the Evening Standard Theatre Awards in London. The model-actress arrived in this dreamy Brock Collection gown — which came straight from the brand's runway — with puffy half sleeves, a fitted bodice and a high-low midi-length hemline, all in a romantic pale blue floral print She completed her look with crisp white pointy-toe pumps, scoring a serious fashion hit in the process.

Diane Keaton's celebrates every year on Jan. 5! Back in 2013 at the Women of Worth event, she sported a hat, gloves, tights and booties — accessories that are all part of her signature look. Unfortunately, we weren't wild about the way she paired the elements with a plain black minidress.

One of our favorite Diane Keaton fashion moments went down in 2019. That year, the star attended the premiere of "Green Eggs and Ham" in this sleek plaid pantsuit that she smartly paired with a black turtleneck, chunky black boots and mounds and mounds of silver chains to finish off a fab look.

It's only fitting that January Jones claims a January birthday! Born Jan. 5, this star's most flagrant fashion miss went down in 2015 when she donned this Lela Rose disaster. It started out as a sleeveless minidress with a plunging neckline and ruffled hemline and then gave way to baggy sheer trousers paired with silver heels — a very funky look.
_
Our favorite January Jones look happened at the 2011 Golden Globes when the "Mad Men" star arrived in this vibrant red Versace gown. From the cut-outs to the pleated skirt to the matching red lip, this made for a very memorable fashion moment.
_
Jan. 9 birthday girl Nina Dobrev let us down in the fashion department at the 2013 Met Gala. That year, her take on the "Punk: Chaos to Couture" theme was… not really punk, but a halter-style Monique Lhuillier half-dress, half-jumpsuit look in black. Yikes.
_
Our favorite Nina Dobrev look has to be this bright red sleeveless Zac Posen number with a square neckline and full-length skirt. She paired it perfectly with glamorous waves and a red lip, channeling Old Hollywood glam at a Golden Globes afterparty in 2017.
_
Actress Natalia Dyer celebrates her birthday on Jan. 13 every year. Her worst look on the red carpet — this bizarre pick she wore to the 2019 premiere of "Velvet Buzzsaw" — was a Moncler x Simone Rocha design that included a black high-necked floral dress with a full skirt seemingly atop a white blouse.
_
Natalia Dyer wowed in this golden Dolce&Gabbana gown at the 2018 Primetime Emmys. The slinky beaded frock, which featured thin straps and a fitted silhouette, is our favorite look from the young "Stranger Things" star.
_
Yikes! Kyle Richards, who celebrates her birthday on Jan. 11, wore this unfortunate off-the-shoulder floral-print frock to the "Christopher Robin" premiere in 2018. The reality TV star added neutral heels and yellow-lens sunglasses to complete the underwhelming look.
_
Gorgeous! Kyle Richards rocked this show-stopping Alexandre Vauthier frock at the American Music Awards in 2018 — a red minidress with a tie detail at the waist and an asymmetrical hemline — and completed her look with what appears to be the same tan and clear pointy-toe pumps she wore with her disastrous yellow frock a few months earlier.
_
Jan. 28 marks Ariel Winter's birthday. Our least favorite look from the young actress happened back at the 2017 Primetime Emmys when she donned this funky Steven Khalil number featuring the dreaded double-slit skirt, a halter-style neckline and too many sequins.
_
Ariel Winter's most recent red carpet moment seriously wowed us. For a 2020 Golden Globes afterparty, the "Modern Family" star selected this sleek asymmetrical neon yellow Effie Kats design that featured a high neck, one long sleeve and a killer slit up the side.
_
Back in 2014, Oprah Winfrey attended the NAACP Image Awards in this fiery orange gown. The billionaire, who celebrates her birthday on Jan. 29, picked a frock that didn't fare well in the fashion department, thanks largely to its collared neckline, belt detail and funky mixed prints. Keep reading to see our favorite Oprah fashion moment…

Oprah's best fashion moment? That has to be the show-stopping dress she wore to the 2018 Golden Globes. That year, the mogul received the Cecil B. DeMille Award and arrived in this sleek and perfectly tailored Atelier Versace gown. The off-the-shoulder design featured embellishments at the neckline, long sleeves and a dainty train.
_
Jeans at an award show? Yep, Jan. 25th birthday girl Alicia Keys rocked this very casual look at the 2004 Billboard Music Awards — pairing her denim with a spaghetti-strap tank top and sandals.
_
Alicia Keys arrived at the Billboard Women in Music event in 2019 in this killer all-purple look. From the bold pantsuit by Prabal Gurung to the lilac bralette underneath and the rich purple shrug she rocked around the arms, the only thing we would change about this outfit would be adding purple shoes.
_
Though we love a good two-toned look, Kerry Washington's 2015 Golden Globes gown by Mary Katrantzou wasn't our favorite. The Jan. 31 birthday girl donned an off-the-shoulder number featuring a sweetheart neckline and full skirt in pink and purple — which she paired with two-toned heels as well.
_
Stunning! Kerry Washington donned this dreamy Schiaparelli number at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party in 2019. It's one of our favorite looks ever from the star thanks to the sweet strapless design that featured a corset-like bodice, a tiered and ruffled skirt and a sweet ribbon detail at the waist. She paired the neutral-hued dress with dark gray heels for an interesting color combination that surprisingly paid off.
_
Zooey Deschanel, who celebrates her birthday on Jan. 17 every year, sported one of her signature minidresses at the Grammys back in 2009. And while she certainly has her very own unique fashion sense, the styling of this pale purple Luella number fell flat — especially pairing those peep-toe heels with tights.
_
Zooey Deschanel embraced her unique style and pulled it off flawlessly at the 2006 Teen Choice Awards where she sported a sweet bright red minidress with long sleeves and a black bow detail at the neck, black tights and black low-heeled shoes.
_
Jan. 16 birthday girl Kate Moss has had her fair share of style hits and misses. And her 2019 Met Gala gown was certainly not one of her finer fashion moments. The supermodel opted for a shiny silver metallic number complete with a cape by Marc Jacobs, which, though it loosely adhered to the "camp" theme that year, didn't wow us at the high-fashion event.
_
When it came time to pick a favorite fashion moment, we had to go with a quintessentially Kate Moss street style look. Her ability to mix prints to perfection sums up her supermodel style status — like here in 2015 when she rocked plaid and leopard prints with fringed black booties for an impossibly cool fashion moment while heading to lunch.
_
What looked like a slinky referee costume amounted to a major fashion miss back in 2016. Irina Shayk, who celebrates a birthday every year on Jan. 6, donned this Givenchy minidress in black-and-white stripes with a pair of thigh-high black boots, delivering a costume-y look, after the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show that year.
_
Irina Shayk looked like a golden goddess at the 2018 Met Gala. Her Atelier Versace number featured embellishments and feathered detailing that added to the seriously memorable couture moment.
_
Kristin Cavallari celebrates her birthday on Jan. 5. The star's most unfortunate fashion moment took place on the 2018 Emmys red carpet when she arrived in this high-low hemline black gown with one shoulder and a whole lot of asymmetrical lines happening.
_
Kristin Cavallari's 2020 Golden Globes gown was unique and ended up being one of our favorite looks from the reality TV star. The strapless Cristina Ottaviano frock featured a tiny slit at the waist and a pretty color palette of pale pink and crisp white.
_
Jan. 11 marks Mary J. Blige's birthday every year. The star's 2019 BAFTAs ensemble by Ralph & Russo was half-gown, half-pantsuit and wholly not our favorite. She wore the half-gold lace, half-white fabric jacket sans shirt with pants that included a half-skirt complete with a train.
_
It was custom Alberta Ferretti for Mary J. Blige at the 2018 Golden Globes. That year, the singer-actress arrived in a slinky and stunning number that featured shimmering sheer fabric on one sleeve, at the neckline and down a portion of the skirt — a memorable fashion moment.
_
Kate Bosworth celebrates her birthday on Jan. 2 every year! One Kate fashion moment we didn't love? This Chloe gown she wore in New York City in 2018. The long-sleeved golden and white frock featured strange horse motifs at the center, and she paired it with lace-up brown pointy-toe kitten heels.
_
At the 2019 Vanity Fair Oscar Party, Kate Bosworth donned this stunning golden yellow Cong Tri design. Her gold clutch paired perfectly with the sleeveless gown featuring beaded embellishments.
