The 2017 CMT Music Awards have been handed out, and now it's time for even more fun — judging the fashion! We're rounding up the best and the worst looks from the big night, starting with Kellie Pickler! The country cutie really let us down on the gray carpet in this awful outfit. Her fitted, sequined gown started out crimson, only to flow down and end in a clashing shade of gold. Keep reading to get a better look at her hair and makeup, and to see all the rest of the hits and misses from the show!

Though we hated the dress, we did love Kellie Pickler's hair and makeup! The star wore her light locks in glam waves and kept her makeup warm, with hints of coral, for a perfect summer beauty look.
Ballerina chic! Carrie Underwood shimmered on the CMT Music Awards carpet, opting for this sparkly, sweet minidress by Elie Madi. We loved the iridescence of the frilly skirt and the glimmering detail on the long-sleeved top half of the frock. Let's get a better view!
Carrie Underwood's shimmering dress was even more stunning up close. The superstar paired the sparkles with luminous makeup and a fun messy ponytail to complete the youthful look.
Nicole Kidman was on hand to support hubby Keith Urban at the 2017 CMT Music Awards, but her typically on-point style was absent. The actress wore this lingerie-like black lace frock, featuring plenty of sheer panels and silky patches, paired with black strappy heels for an underwhelming look.
Hillary Scott had us seeing stars on the gray CMT Music Awards carpet — and we loved it! The Lady Antebellum singer donned this black gown dotted with multicolored stars and moons, which also featured long sleeves and a thigh-high slit. The star accessorized with drop earrings by Swarovski and solidified herself as a fashion hit!
We're massive Sam Hunt fans, so it pains us to see him in this unfortunate getup. We're used to Sam pushing the boundaries of men's fashion, but this attempt failed royally. The country heartthrob donned this strange, shiny blouse with the sleeves rolled up, paired with black slacks and boots. The odd look fell flat on the carpet.
Miranda Lambert wore a spiced-up LBD to the CMT Music Awards. The long-sleeved minidress featured metallic detailing at the waist and on the end of the sleeves, making the otherwise snoozy dress more festive and fun.
Well, that's quite a… colorful dress! Lauren Alaina arrived on the CMT Music Awards red carpet in this rainbow striped one-shouldered minidress by Rubin Singer. Though we're not huge fans of the fabric, it's the massive bow — nearly bigger than her head! — on the shoulder that really lost us. Get a better look next!
Lauren Alaina's massive striped bow almost eclipsed her fab hair and makeup… almost! We give the country singer props for her perfectly messy topknot, simple makeup and the edgy addition of a nose ring.
Jake Owen brought some rock'n'roll flair to the CMT Music Awards carpet, sporting a striped blazer (with a hint of sparkle!), a crisp white shirt, skinny jeans and black suede boots. Nicely done, sir!
Little Big Town's Karen Fairchild showed up in this puzzling getup. The star seems to be wearing a sheer gray lacy dress over a nude slip, but it's the shoes that are the strangest choice. Karen finished off the odd outfit with these unfortunate metallic lace-up boots.
Kelsea Ballerini turned heads on the CMT Music Awards carpet in this gorgeous ivory and navy colorblocked gown by HANEY, which featured cutouts along the sides plus a thigh-high slit. Now let's see this look from another angle…
Kelsea Ballerini's HANEY gown featured a massive slit on the left side and cutouts at the waist. We loved the way she accessorized with metallic heels and opted to wear her hair slicked back to keep the attention on her edgy ensemble.
Cutouts have gone country! Maggie Rose also rocked a frock complete with edgy cutouts on the sides. Her silver and black gown showed slivers of skin, and the singer matched her eye makeup to the sparkly metallic fabric that ran down the front of the dress.
We're not sure who told the stars at the CMT Music Awards that the shorts-blazer combo was in, but that person was sorely mistaken. Savannah Chrisley turned up in this hot pink short suit with a black blouse underneath, and unfortunately she wasn't the only one who tried to pull off this look.
Danielle Bradbery tried her hand at a blazer and shorts combo as well, and fared worse than Savannah Chrisley! The country singer wore this ill-fitting getup, comprised of a white top and shorts combo underneath an awkwardly cropped gold printed blazer, and landed herself among the misses of the night. We didn't hate everything about her look, though…
Danielle Bradbery rocked one of our favorite accessories of the evening: COUP's Wild Thorn Half Moon ring.
We'll say one thing about Jason Aldean's style… he certainly stays true to himself! The country superstar rocked his signature cowboy hat along with a henley, suede jacket, frayed jeans and cowboy boots for a perfectly on-brand ensemble.
We know this is the perfect place to rock a cowboy hat, but we aren't fans of the rest of Dustin Lynch's look. The singer paired his headgear with skinny jeans, a T-shirt and a bomber jacket for a look that just ended up all over the place.
Chris Young certainly cleaned up nice at the 2017 CMT Music Awards! The star sported a black-and-white look with black boots, and we enjoyed the brief reprieve from the ubiquitous cowboy hat!
Reba McEntire played it very safe when it came to her CMT Music Awards fashion, opting for a simple and sleek black pantsuit. We give the country diva props for keeping things sophisticated and accessorizing with those trendy hoops.
Jada Pinkett Smith wore this lavender Carolina Herrera frock at the CMT Music Awards. And while we liked the pastel shade, we weren't fans of the loud floral embroidery running down the front.
Looking sharp, Luke Bryan! The country crooner showed up in this sleek suit, complete with a crimson tie and dress shoes, and cemented himself as one of the best dressed men of the night!
Little Big Town's Kimberly Schlapman wore this metallic, slinky dress to the CMT Music Awards, and though the hues were trendy, we weren't fans of the fit. The spaghetti-strap dress utilized both horizontal and vertical stripes, with shades of bronze and silver, but the combinations just didn't mesh well on the floor-length gown.
Coordinated ladies! Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford attended the 2017 CMT Music Awards in complementary looks — both rocked ruffled jumpsuits. We loved Hoda's teal, shoulder-less jumpsuit, and how it paired perfectly with Kathie Lee's white, one-shouldered asymmetrical one!
Katherine Heigl brought a pop of color to the carpet at the CMT Music Awards! The actress donned this cheery red gown by Lanvin, and though we didn't love her addition of a matchy red clutch, we liked the detailing at the collar and the flowy feel of the dress.
Um, Brett Eldredge, we think you forgot something! The singer hit the gray carpet sans jacket, opting to wear his white button-down shirt by Lord and Fools solo with Alexander McQueen dress pants and Magnanni boots. Though it certainly gives off a cool and casual vibe, we can't help but feel like the look is incomplete.
We adored "Nashville" star Clare Bowen's lovely look at the CMT Music Awards. The actress rocked this ethereal gown, which featured spaghetti straps and delicate embellishments and flowed from a pearly shade to pale pink tulle. Too pretty!
Oh, Billy Ray Cyrus. The destroyed denim, the baseball hat, the sunglasses on the carpet… where do we even begin? To say the country star dressed down for the occasion would be a massive understatement.
If a star has to wear a baseball cap on a red carpet, we hope they take notes from Cole Swindell! The singer sported a sleek solid-black baseball cap with a printed shirt underneath a leather jacket, skinny black jeans and finished his look with boots for a polished yet casual look.
Rachel Bilson joined in on the two-piece trend at the CMT Music Awards, opting to wear a a white, frilly printed top tucked into a black leather skirt. We liked the way the Rodarte ensemble struck the perfect balance between casual and red carpet ready, and we loved how she tied it together with those black pumps.
A cargo skirt? No thank you! Brandi Cyrus left a lot to be desired in the fashion department at the CMT Music Awards, opting to wear this unfortunate army green skirt paired with a sparkly bralette on the gray carpet. Next!
Jason Derulo always makes men's fashion more fun, and his CMT Music Awards look was no exception! The star hit the carpet in this black suit with red paneling, pairing it with all-black separates and impossibly stylish loafers.
Yikes! RaeLynn's CMT Music Awards dress was doing way too much. The asymmetrical, high-necked minidress featured two different sleeves — one made of the loud floral print, the other sheer — and a massive ruffle down the front. We've got to see this one from another angle…
Yep, still disastrous from another angle! RaeLynn's quarter-sheer, three-quarter-floral dress really didn't work one the gray carpet. We do like that artfully messy ponytail, though!
Leave it to a Victoria's Secret Angel to bust out some of the best style on the carpet! Josephine Skriver rocked this ivory Naeem Khan jumpsuit, which featured a plunging neckline and a drawstring detail at the waist. Flawless!
We love Kane Brown, but we wish he would have opted for something other than sneakers and ripped jeans for the CMT Music Awards. But we will give him props for that suede jacket!
Navy and black is always a fashion-forward combo, and Johnny Galecki executed the look flawlessly. The actor sported a navy suit with black lapels over a white shirt and finished it off with black dress shoes for a sharp award show ensemble.
Only one word comes to mind when we see "Teen Mom 2" star Leah Messer's CMT Awards dress — prom. The reality star opted for this strapless, shiny, flared frock, a look reminiscent of many gowns at the local high school dance. And that oversized ivory clutch certainly didn't help matters!
Take note, gentlemen! If you're going to rock a loud statement piece, stick with simple when it comes to the rest of your pieces. Josh Henderson pulled this off by pairing his floral suit jacket with black separates, making sure the attention stayed on that jacket.
