Fox News' Senior White House Correspondent Peter Doocy talked to Donald Trump about a hypothetical presidential run against Barack Obama."If you are allowed – for some reason – to run for a third term, is there a thought that the Democrats could try to run Barack Obama against you?" he asked.

Donald Trump welcomed the competition against Barack Obama, despite it being unconstitutional."I'd love that," Trump responded. "That would be a good one. I'd like that. No, people are asking me to run."
"And there's a whole story about running for a third term. I don't know. I never looked into it," he added. "They do say there's a way you can do it, but I don't know about that. But I have not looked into it."

Fox News legal analyst Jonathan Turley said Donald Trump's third-term rumor "does not seem particularly credible."_
If Donald Trump were to run as J.D. Vance's running mate in 2028, it would open the door for the former reality star to secure another four years in the White House."There's also a cost to this that may not be fair to people like Vance or others who are going to run," Jonathan Turley said. "And that all of this talk tends to diminish them."
"Part of Trump's legacy will be securing the White House for a Republican," he added. "And this type of talk reduces figures like Vance to sort of Mini-Mes, and that's not a good thing for them."

"It's not fair to people like [J.D.] Vance. So, this does appear [to be] something of a jump scare," Jonathan Turley continued, as the loophole would stunt the vice president's political mobility.
"With the exception of amending the Constitution, it does not seem particularly credible," he added.
