According to a new tell-all,
George Stephanopoulos was stunned by
Joe Biden's mental state while in office.

Per Chris Whipple, during the July 5, 2024, chat with George Stephanopoulos, Joe Biden, 82, appeared "hoarse and semi-coherent" in his answers despite still being in the 2024 race and continuing to lead the country.
"Stephanopoulos questioned the president gently, like a grandson," the author claimed in the tell-all via
Fox News. "Afterward, when I asked the
ABC anchor by email for his impressions, he replied: 'Heartbreaking up close.'"

The same month, George Stephanopoulos was reportedly stopped on the street by someone who asked him about the state of Joe Biden's
health. However, the anchor's response got him into hot water with ABC.
"I don't think he [Biden] can serve four more years," the reporter allegedly told the anonymous person.
After the network issued a public statement claiming Stephanopoulos' stance was "not the position of ABC News," the television personality addressed the issue head-on.
"Earlier today I responded to a question from a passerby. I shouldn't have," Stephanopoulos explained in a statement via the
New York Post.

During the conversation with ABC News, George Stephanopoulos pressed Joe Biden about his disastrous debate performance against Donald Trump in June 2024.
"Look, I have a cognitive test every single day," the left-wing leader emphasized. "Every day, I've had tests. Everything I do. You know, not only am I campaigning, I'm running the
world. And that's not — it sounds like hyperbole, but we are the central nation of the world."

This is not the first time information has come out about what went on behind-the-scenes before Joe Biden officially dropped out of the 2024 race.

Jonathan Allen and
Amie Parnes, the two claimed Democrats were prepared for the former senator to pass away while in office.
"They wanted to make sure the party was ready for every possible circumstance: If Biden launched his campaign and then stepped aside before the primaries; if he won a bunch of primaries and then could not continue. If he secured enough delegates for winning the nomination but dropped out before winning a floor vote at the convention, and if he left a vacancy at the top of the ticket after taking the nomination," the writers alleged.

The juicy read also alleged Joe Biden's second-in-command's team were the ones who privately "strategized around the possibility that Biden might die in
office."
"In hush-hush talks starting in 2023, [DNC] officials gamed out Biden-withdrawal scenarios, according to two people familiar with them," Jonathan Allen and Amie Parnes wrote.
