Selena Gomez: I would 'cry my eyes out' over bodyshaming comments

Words hurt. Selena Gomez has often said that she's unaffected by social media bodyshaming comments. Now, though, she admits that's not truthful.

"I lied. I would go online and I would post a picture of myself and say [the negative comments] don't matter, I'm not accepting what you're saying — all the while being in the room posting that, crying my eyes out, because nobody deserves to hear those things," she said on Apple TV+'s "Dear."

The "Only Murders in the Building" star thought that her fibbing would be beneficial to others.

"I was posting these things saying it doesn't bother me because I didn't want it to bother other people who are experiencing the same thing — getting shamed for what they look like, who they are, who they love," she said. "I just think it's so unfair. I don't think that anybody deserves to feel less than."

Selena, 30, is no stranger to being bodyshamed. In January, online trolls criticized her body after she was photographed in a swimsuit in Mexico. Shortly after, Selena said "I'm not a model, never will be."

The pop star has been open about body image, particularly given that she was diagnosed with lupus in 2014. The medication she takes for control the condition can cause the body to fluctuate weight.

"I tend to hold a lot of water weight and that happens very normally. And then when I'm off of [my medication], I tend to lose weight," she explained during a February TikTok Live video. "I just wanted to say and encourage anyone out there who feels any sort of shame for exactly what they're going for and nobody knows the real story — I just want people to know that you're beautiful and you're wonderful and, yeah, maybe we have days where we feel like s*** but I would much rather be healthy and take care of myself."

'Real Housewives of Salt Lake City' star details 'nightmare' final moments of freedom before surrendering to prison

In a message from prison, Jen Shah is detailing how difficult it was to say goodbye to her family for the next six-and-a-half years.

While in lock up at the Bryan Federal Prison Camp in Texas, the "Real Housewives of Salt Lake City" alum wrote about her final moments of freedom, saying she had "an anxiety attack" just before surrendering to officials.

"I could not breathe and my hands went numb," Jen, who's serving a prison sentence for fraud, wrote in a March 9 Instagram message, which was posted by her husband Sharrieff Shah.

Chad Kirkland/Bravo

The reality TV star recalled FaceTiming her oldest son, Sharrieff Jr., on her way to prison as he reassured her "it would be okay."

"I didn't think I'd make it through the day," she said. "My worst fear and the unimaginable was about to happen — having to say goodbye to my sweet husband and precious baby Omar."

From there, the 49-year-old said everything "happened so fast" and she was emotional in saying goodbye to her family, including Sharrieff. "I turned to embrace him; hugging him as if holding him harder would somehow erase this horrible nightmare."

Prison officials, she said, continued to urge her to move along, although they let her fit in a few final moments.

"It's as if you know your world is ending and you have 30 seconds to tell the people you love how much you love them and hope they feel your love and understand its magnitude," Jen said, adding that she felt "so alone" as she walked away from the son and husband, both of whom were crying as she was.

"I am truly scared," she said before concluding, "I feel physically sick. I feel like I don't belong here. I thought I could do this but I've decided I can't. I want to go home right now, but I know that is impossible. Please Allah help me, please."

Jen surrendered on Feb. 17, seven months after she pleaded guilty in connection with a telemarketing fraud scheme that prosecutors said preyed on the elderly.

The Bravo-lebrity was arrested on March 30, 2021 for her involvement in the scheme. Authorities alleged that Jen and her assistant, Stuart Smith, ripped off hundreds of victims across the country, mainly elderly people, by encouraging them to invest in shady online projects and selling them nonexistent business services for years. They are alleged to have complied lists of "leads," who were people previously exploited, as they were believed to be easier targets. They would then sell the list and take a cut of the profits. The practice, authorities said, was going on for nine years.

A federal judge sentenced Jen to six-and-a-half years behind bars.

Homeland Security Investigations Agency said in a statement after the arrest that Jen and Stuart "built their opulent lifestyle at the expense of vulnerable, often elderly, working-class people."

Why Meghan Markle wasn't 'naturally warm' to Rebel Wilson, according to fans

During a recent appearance on "Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen," Rebel Wilson recalled a recent run-in with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. During that brief exchange, she remembered the royal being unbelievably kind, but she could't say the same for the duchess.

However, fans think they know why Meghan was so curt, and they're shocked at Rebel's memory lapse.

While speaking to Andy, the "Pitch Perfect" star explained that she was with her mother when she met the royal couple in Santa Barbara via a mutual friend.

"[He] could not have been nicer," Rebel said. "Meghan was not as cool. She wasn't as naturally warm.  And then my mom, being Australian, just asked her all these slightly rude questions … like, 'Where are your kids?' and things like that. So maybe that's why she [wasn't happy]."

Fans surmised that they knew the source of Meghan's apparent ire and quickly began resurfacing a video of Rebel from last year's BAFTA awards.

"Our next package is for Outstanding British Film. From drama to horror to fantasy. Harry and Meghan's interview with Oprah had it all," she joked. "Unfortunately that's not nominated."

Amid the reposting of the video, one person said, "You seem like a smart girl … Don't you remember what you said?"

Megyn Kelly has chance encounter with Margot Robbie in Utah

It's like looking in a mirror!

Four years after Margot Robbie starred in "Bombshell," she had a chance encounter with one of the real life subjects of the film: Megyn Kelly.

"Bombshell encounter in Deer Valley Utah," Megyn captioned an Instagram photo of the women on Tuesday, March 7. "She was gracious & friendly."

In the snap, the women wear dark tops, smiles and seem to be genuinely cordial.

The former "Megyn Kelly Today" host added, "Kind of weird for both of us since she spent months with the 'fake me' for a movie. Many thanks, Margot Robbie."

In 2019's "Bombshell," Charlize Theron portrayed Megyn, whereas Margot played Kayla Pospisil, a fictional character based off of several women's accounts of working at Fox News for the late Roger Ailes.

Megyn accused Roger, who passed in May 2017, of sexually harassing her multiple times during her tenure at Fox News. Her allegations, and those of others, led to his resignation in 2016. Gretchen Carlson, played by Nicole Kidman, also accused Roger, the former Fox CEO, of sexual harassment.

Megyn, who now hosts a SiriusXM podcast, previously described watching the film as "an incredibly emotional experience."

"While the movie 'Bombshell' is loosely based on my experience during the sexual harassment scandal at Fox News, I have nothing to do with this film," she wrote in Instagram in 2019. "I did not sell the rights to my story or book and only got my first look at the film once it was past the point of any possible edits, though there are certainly some I would have made. Watching this picture was an incredibly emotional experience for me, and for those with whom I saw it. Sexual harassment is pervasive in this country; it can leave scars that do not heal. My heart goes out to those who've gone through it, who I hope might find some comfort in this story."

Bindi Irwin details decade-long struggle with endometriosis

Bindi Irwin has been privately dealing with "indescribable" pain for a decade.

In a lengthy Instagram post on Tuesday, March 7, the former "Dancing With The Stars" champion opened up about her 10-year battle with endometriosis, revealing she tried to keep her health condition out of the public eye. Ultimately, Bindi felt a responsibility to share the story to help other women.

"For 10yrs I've struggled with insurmountable fatigue, pain & nausea. Trying to remain a positive person & hide the pain has been a very long road. These last 10yrs have included many tests, doctors visits, scans, etc.," she wrote.

During the past decade, doctors have told Bindi she had run-of-the-mill symptoms, but the pain never went away. She just tried to "function through the pain." Bindi was eventually helped by a friend and decided to undergo surgery for endometriosis.

Alongside a picture from a hospital bed, the daughter of the late "Crocodile Hunter" wrote, "Going in for surgery was scary but I knew I couldn't live like I was. Every part of my life was getting torn apart because of the pain."

The mother-of-one told her 5.1 million Instagram followers that doctors found 37 lesions and a "chocolate cyst." The surgeon even wondered how she lived with so much pain for so long, she said, adding, "validation for years of pain is indescribable."

After thanking her inner circle, Bindi, 24, dished out some perspective.

"Things may look fine on the outside looking in through the window of someone's life, however, that is not always the case. Please be gentle & pause before asking me (or any woman) when we'll be having more children," she said. "After all that my body has gone through, I feel tremendously grateful that we have our gorgeous daughter. She feels like our family's miracle."

In sharing her story and trying to get rid of the "stigma" surrounding endometriosis, Bindi added, "Let this be your validation that your pain is real & you deserve help."

According to Endofound.org, endometriosis, a painful menstruation disease, affects an estimated 200 million women worldwide and approximately one in 10 women in the U.S. The org adds that the disease occurs "when tissue similar to the interior lining of the uterus, or endometrium, mistakenly migrates and implants in areas outside the uterus, primarily in the pelvic region."

Rebel Wilson banned from Disneyland for breaking unexpected rule

Just days after getting engaged at Disneyland, Rebel Wilson has been temporarily banned from visiting the Happiest Place on Earth for an "illegal photo."

The "Bridesmaids" actress revealed that her Disney sin was taking a photo inside one of the park's secret bathrooms.

Chris Pizzello/Invision/AP/Shutterstock

"I did get banned from Disneyland for 30 days because I took a photo inside a secret bathroom, which is illegal, at Disneyland," she said on "The Daily Show."

Rebel quickly noted that Disney officials wanted her to feel the least amount of pain possible in regard to her park shunning.

"I got officially banned for 30 days. They called me up and said, 'Rebel what 30 days did you not want to come to Disneyland because you're away filming a movie or something?'" she said. "And I was like, 'Oh, well, June would be fine.'"

As the "Pitch Perfect" star is a Disney aficionado, she felt it was the perfect place to pop the question to her partner, Ramona Agruma, earlier this year. During an appearance on "The Drew Barrymore Show," Rebel said she got "permission" from Disney CEO Bob Iger before asking Ramona to marry her.

"He's the big, big boss and I thought, well, if he says yes then it was meant to be, and I was meant to propose that day at Disneyland," she said. "I had to get special permission to get a special area roped off and get the topiary trees in and … I had a violinist playing, like, Disney classics and … it was really romantic. I did go to the big boss to get permission."

Aubrey O'Day shares heartbreaking news about pregnancy

Aubrey O'Day has some heartbreaking news to share: She suffered a miscarriage.

The former Danity Kane singer announced her pregnancy at the SPiN Awards gala in January. In speaking to E! News on Monday, March 6, she revealed that she lost her unborn baby.

Richard Shotwell/Invision/AP/Shutterstock

"I'm beyond heartbroken to announce that I've had a miscarriage," she said. "This isn't my first pregnancy, but it is the first time I was mentally healthy and in a physically prepared place to care for another life."

"I've had moments where I've internalized what happened," she continued, "and blamed myself but luckily I realized there isn't only one seat at the table."

With the loss fresh in her mind, Aubrey hopes to help other miscarriage sufferers heal.

"I will be your sounding board and someone you can confide in," she told other women who've suffered gut-wrenching losses. "Let's value, appreciate and have an immense amount of respect for all the moms out there, and the rest of us who will be unstoppable during our pursuit to becoming moms one day! There are also so many children who need happy and healthy homes, so being a mother and a leader will never be something we can't all have!"

Aubrey later took to Instagram to speak about her situation.

"I wouldn't change anything," she wrote. "I think that it's important to let things happen, and stay 'happened.' People change so you can learn to let go. Things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they are right.. and sometimes things you want most fall apart so that better things can fall together. Everything happens for a reason, I'll always love u my lil one."

Gina Carano opens up in wake of 'The Mandalorian' firing

More than two years after Disney gave her the ax, Gina Carno is thanking those who've continued to support her… while still throwing some love toward her "The Mandalorian" character.

The former MMA fighter recently shared fan art of her Cara Dune character on Instagram.

"Thank you all for the support you've shown me not only over the past few days but over the past few years and some of you even longer from my early MMA days," she wrote. "You'll never know how much that support matters and makes a difference."

She added, "It was an honor to play Cara Dune, she will always have a special place in my heart."

Gina ended her post with Cara's signature quote, "Until our paths cross."

Broadimage/Shutterstock

The actress has had a troubled relationship with Disney, as she was fired by the Mouse House in February 2021 after posting an Instagram photo that compared being a conservative Republican to being Jewish in Nazi Germany during WWII. The message said that "Jews here beaten in the streets, not by Nazi soldiers but by their neighbors…" It went on to claim "the government first made their own neighbors hate them simply for being Jews."

Gina has never wavered from her conservative political views. In fact, she told Meghan McCain last year that she has no regrets about getting "canceled."

Late last month, a "The Mandalorian" producer largely implied that Gina would not be returning to her role on the Disney+ show.

"Cara was a big part and continues as a character to be part of the world," executive producer Rick Famuyiwa told Deadline. "At the same time, what has been at the heart of the show are the two characters Din Djarin and Grogu."

He added, "It's a big galaxy, and we have many characters in it — many characters are fighting for their screen time. We'll just have to see as the season unfolds what the adventures are, but it's a great character, someone who was vital to Din Djarin's beginnings."

Danny Moloshok/Invision/AP/Shutterstock

Following the new Instagram post, Gina's most vocal supporters applauded her.

"Thank you @ginajcarano for always standing up for what you believe in. You will always be my Cara Dune," one fan said. Others argued the show wasn't the same without Gina. "They wanted a strong female, they didn't realize true strong females can't be controlled," another added.

Another plainly stated, "I will always hate Disney for this."

Megyn Kelly mocks former 'Today' show co-star Savannah Guthrie for getting COVID, says she no longer tests

Megyn Kelly is openly mocking "Today" host Savannah Guthrie for leaving the NBC morning show during a broadcast after contracting COVID-19 for the third time.

While on her SiriusXM podcast, Megyn, a former NBC employee, suggested that political ideology was at play.

"All of it is such a perfect indication of how the left, and especially the left in New York, continues to live," she said. "I mean, at this point, seriously? Is anyone still even testing for COVIDs?"

Evan Agostini/Invision/AP/Shutterstock

Megyn further assumed that Savannah had had several COVID vaccine boosters.

"There's zero chance NBC is not requiring all boosters. This is reportedly Savannah's third bout of COVID, and I guarantee you she's had all the vaccines and the boosters because you won't be able to go into 30 Rock without them," Megyn said, referring to NBC headquarters in New York City.

The former Fox News host added, "I don't test for COVID anymore. Who's testing for COVID still? It's amazing to me. These guys are leftists and it's amazing to me to see how the leftists still live under the grip of COVID."

Savannah appeared on the Tuesday morning's "Today" show for the first 30 minutes, but she suddenly went MIA. Co-host Sheinelle Jones eventually clued viewers into the behind-the-scenes drama.

"It has been an interesting morning for us," she said. "Savannah left early, she wasn't feeling great, so she took a COVID test. It came back positive. As soon as we found out, she rushed home to rest up. So Savannah, we love you, wishing you a speedy recovery."

While continuing to jab NBC, Megyn shaded beloved weatherman Al Roker over Savannah's illness.

"I got dollars to donuts that Roker's there with an N95 [mask] tomorrow all day on set," she said.

Megyn's acrimonious history with NBC is well known. She was hired by the news organization in 2017 and given a $69 million contract to become the face of "Megyn Kelly Today," which aired in the third hour of "Today." The show was canceled a year later amid her "Blackface" controversy. She then left the network in January 2019. Reports said her contact was paid out in full.

Previously canceled 'Today' show host shares thoughts on what fired 'Good Morning America' co-hosts should do next following alleged affair

Billy Bush thinks the future is still bright for T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach.

"I think they should work together. I think they do a great job," Billy told TMZ, adding that their show, "GMA3," was "popping."

Shutterstock

ABC showed both T.J. and Amy the door in late January after their behind-the-scenes romance came to light. At the time of their alleged affair, both were still married to their respective spouses.

Initially ABC said the duo would not face punishment because the relationship was consensual, and they were on equal footing within the ABC workplace power structure. However, one month after yanking the duo from "GMA3," which they co-hosted together, ABC let them go. An internal memo called the relationship a "distraction."

Billy, though, thinks everyone should simply back off the couple and let them live.

"I think they [could] do a podcast together or something great and lead it into another show," he said. "They've got something that works."

"I think everybody should find their way back," he added.

Photo Image Press/Shutterstock

Billy, of course, knows what it's like to come back from an infamous situation. The TV host was essentially "canceled" in 2016 after an "Access Hollywood" interview with then-presidential candidate Donald Trump resurfaced. In the audio, which was recorded in 2005, Billy and the future POTUS had a lewd conversation about groping women.

Trump was able to brush off the conversation, but Billy wasn't so lucky: He lost his job on the "Today" show. It would take three years for Billy to land another TV gig — this time on "Extra."
