Country singer returns to Instagram after infidelity admission, sex assault accusations

After days of maintaining his social media silence in the wake of a sexual assault lawsuit, Jimmie Allen is back on Instagram. And, he seem to be brushing off the salacious headlines associated with his personal life.

On Wednesday, May 17, the country singer used his Instagram Story to post the text, "We Gonna Be Alright" and "This Too Shall Pass." He included a few emojis. Jimmie's post was set to Kendrick Lamar's 2015 hit, "Alright." In a follow up post, he wrote "God Only Knows" and "He Knows!" while set to "God Only Knows" by Christian group For King & Country.

The "Best Shot" singer's personal life has made headlines over the past few weeks. In late April, Jimmie's wife, Alexis Gale, filed for divorce and indicated they are currently expecting a third child together, a boy. Then, on May 11 his former day-to-day manager filed a civil lawsuit in Tennessee federal court for sexual battery, assault, false imprisonment, sex trafficking and emotional distress.

In the lawsuit and in a chat with Variety, the woman, who filed under the name Jane Doe, detailed several alleged assaults and groping incidents — including some she says took place in cars and hotel rooms, often when she and Jimmie were alone and traveling on work trips — that happened between 2020 and 2022, a time during which Jimmie was married.

In describing one night, Jane detailed waking up in a hotel room without clothes on and in pain with no recollection of the previous night. Jimmie was lying next to her and insisted she take a Plan B pill to prevent an accidental pregnancy, she alleged. It was then that the woman realized she'd lost her virginity.

The singer, she claimed, also videotaped some sexual encounters "to blackmail her to stay silent." According to what she told Variety, "Jimmie raped her while choking her, sexually abused her at red lights when she drove him to and from business events and looked at porn on her work computer." She told him "no" but was often coerced into sex with him, she said.

After details of the lawsuit emerged, the former "Dancing With The Stars" contestant admitted to cheating on his wife, but claimed the sex with the woman was all consensual.

"It is deeply troubling and hurtful that someone I counted as one of my closest friends, colleagues and confidants would make allegations that have no truth to them whatsoever," he said in a statement. "I acknowledge that we had a sexual relationship — one that lasted for nearly two years. During that time, she never once accused me of any wrongdoing, and she spoke of our relationship and friendship as being something she wanted to continue indefinitely. Only after things ended between us, did she hire a lawyer to reach out and ask for money, which leads me to question her motives. The simple fact is, her accusations are not only false, but also extremely damaging. I've worked incredibly hard to build my career, and I intend to mount a vigorous defense to her claims and take all other legal action necessary to protect my reputation."

Chrisley siblings struggling to land reality show after court case exposed lives 'built on a stack of lies'

Chase and Savannah Chrisley are "desperately" trying to get a new reality TV show to save themselves from potential financial ruin, but networks don't appear to be biting, a new report claims.

The siblings shot to fame after starring in "Chrisley Knows Best" and its spinoff, "Growing Up Chrisley." However, both shows were axed after Todd and Julie Chrisley were convicted of federal tax crimes and sent to prison.

"Chase and Savannah have been desperate to be back on TV and at this point are willing to go with any network that wants them," a source told DailyMail.com

The search for a reignited reality TV career is not going well, as networks reportedly see the kids as "a liability," given their family's legal woes and drama. Plus, neither sibling is really being viewed as a legitimate star that can draw in viewers.

"They are having a difficult time finding anyone, frankly, because Todd is what made the show," the source continued. "If USA Network was interested in them alone, they would have kept Growing Up Chrisley on the air."

There's also another factor going against the kids: the family reality show portrayed the Chrisleys as well to do, as they lived a lavish life in Nashville, Tenn. After Todd and Julie's conviction, their true financial situation was exposed.

"They didn't have the money that they claimed to have, their family was not as perfect as they wanted people to believe it was," the source said, adding their the picture-perfect life was "built on a stack of lies."

After Todd and Julie's convictions, they were ordered to pay a $17.2 million fine for restitution. The financial burden has left the kids in a "fight or flight" mode.

"Unfortunately, Chase and Savannah spent money like it would never end and they didn't save a ton of money for a rainy day," the source says. "They are both really banking on a network to grab their show and for it to be a success. Hopefully, for them, it is because they are running out of options and money fast."

Back in February, Savannah acknowledged that she was interested in reality TV, revealing on her Unlocked podcast that she and her team were "talking to a few production companies about doing another show."

'General Hospital' actress charged with DUI following head-on, wrong-way crash

"General Hospital" actress Haley Pullos is lucky to be alive after being involved in a head-on, wrong-way car crash that resulted in two vehicles — hers included — being mangled and totally destroyed. It also resulted in the soap star being arrested for DUI.

During the arrest, Haley reportedly became aggressive with authorities, even striking a firefighter while declaring the cost of her clothing.

Citing a police document of the April 29 crash, TMZ said Haley, who plays Molly Lansing-Davis in the daytime soap, was driving on the freeway in Pasadena, Calif., when she "swerved, flew over the dividing barrier, and into oncoming traffic." She then "ended up colliding head-on with another car that was going about 60 mph."

In the wreckage, Haley was reportedly trapped in the car, forcing firefighters to extricate her. Once the actress was put in an ambulance, she allegedly became agitated with a medic assessing her injuries. TMZ said she struck the medic and proclaimed, "This is a $400 f****** shirt!"

In a search of her car, marijuana products and tequila were found.

Haley, 24, was arrested for felony DUI after being transported to the hospital, but things continued to go downhill, as she "got aggressive and fought hospital staff," the report states. Haley was eventually sedated.

The driver of the other car was hospitalized with major injuries.

Haley made reference to her crash last week when indicating she would be taking a break from the long-running soap. However, her statement made no reference to the DUI or horrific nature of the crash.

"Unfortunately, I was involved in an automobile accident and I'm doing okay, but I am going to need a little time to recover. I will be back as soon as possible!" she said.

Haley joined "General Hospital" in 2009. She was even nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award in 2015.

Estranged wife of 'Shameless' actor updates Instagram amid 'single mom' backlash

Jeremy Allen White's estranged wife Addison Timlin updated her Instagram after a digital slip of the tongue that drew fierce blowback.

Over the weekend, the actress posted a lengthy caption to Instagram in which she called herself a single parent, something that didn't sit well with the Internet.

"Being a single mom is not how I pictured it. It is so f****** hard," she began her caption, posted alongside an image with daughters Ezer, 4, and Dolores, 2, whom she shares with the "Shameless" star. "It is all out covered in s*** crying on the floor kick you in the shins screaming with no sound coming out hard."

Addison added, "It can be exhausting but more than anything it can just be so lonely. when something magical happens and you have to tell yourself 'don't forget this' because theres no witness by your side. It's so painful."

While the caption went on, Addison's 313,000 Instagram followers slammed her for her choice of words, as many noted that "The Bear" actor seems to be very present in their children's lives. In addition, the former duo doesn't appear to be struggling financially.

Soon after, Addison changed her caption to read: "Co-parent is not how I pictured it."

The switch came amid a flood of critical messages.

"There is a difference between being a single mom and being a mom that is single," one person said. Another echoed, "You're not a single parent, you're a parent who is single. You get to co-parent with your future ex-husband, who you constantly praise for being an amazing and present father. It's disrespectful to those women and men who parent ALONE, who are the sole bread winner for their children, who make the tough decisions by themselves and who are the only ones to support their children emotionally/physically/financially."

Addison was called "passive aggressive."

Another critic commented, "Single mom is a bit of a stretch, my dear."

Addison and Jeremy, who've known each other since their teenage years, married in June 2019. Last week, she filed for divorce, but court documents didn't give a specific reason for the split.

Olympic athlete faces 20 years behind bars for staging plane crash

A former Olympian is facing up to 20 years in federal prison for intentionally crashing his small airplane in an effort to gain YouTube views and a sponsorship deal.

Mike Ehrmann/Getty Images

In court this week, Trevor Jacob, 29, pleaded guilty to one count of destruction and concealment with the intent to obstruct a federal investigation. Prosecutors said Trevor, an experienced pilot and skydiver, deliberately crashed his plane about 35 minutes after taking off on November 24, 2021. The content creator recorded the flight, which shows the propeller stopping. Then, while wearing a parachute and armed with a selfie stick, Trevor jumped out of the plane. After feeling the pilot's seat, the unmanned plane crashed into a mountain.

Prosecutors said Trevor "did not intend to reach his destination," which was allegedly set to be Mammoth Lakes in California.

After safely landing in the forest in California's Santa Barbara County, Trevor hiked to the aircraft crash site and retrieved cameras that had been mounted to the 1940 Taylorcraft plane. Two days later, Trevor alerted authorities to the crash. Short after that, he uploaded a video to his YouTube channel titled, "I Crashed My Airplane."

Based on the circumstances of the crash, investigators and aviation experts were suspicious from the beginning.

"I'll happily say I did not purposely crash my plane for views on YouTube. Given my background I could see why people would think that," he told the New York Times in January 2022. "I've been filming everything I do since I was 5 years old… People can believe whatever they choose."

Over a year later, the daredevil did an about face and said he had agreed to promote a company's wallet in the video.

In his plea agreement, Trevor admitted to lying to investigators about the wreckage's location. A press release from the U.S. Attorney's Office for Central California said Trevor and a pal actually visited the site about two weeks after the crash.

"Jacob and a friend flew by helicopter to the wreckage site," the press release said. "There, Jacob used straps to secure the wreckage, which the helicopter lifted and carried to Rancho Sisquoc in Santa Barbara County, where it was loaded onto a trailer attached to Jacob's pickup truck."

Afterward, he tried to destroy and discard the wreckage in trash bins.

His pilot's license has since been revoked.

Prior to become a YouTuber, Trevor represented the United States in the 2014 Winter Olympics, where he finished ninth in the men's snowboard cross. He also competed in three X Games competitions.

'The Great' actress lost major role because she didn't have enough followers

Who knew that being popular on social media was a prerequisite for a job!

Elle Fanning revealed that she once lost out on a role because her Instagram presence wasn't large enough. The Emmy-nominated actress didn't say what film gave her the stiff arm, but she hinted that it was a major film franchise.

Matt Baron/BEI/Shutterstock

"I didn't have enough Instagram followers at the time," she said on the "Happy Sad Confused" podcast. Although she notes that her sparse-at-the-time Instagram following might not have just been this actual reason producers passed on her, it was "all the feedback" she heard.

"So, that was a little like, okay?" she said. "I mean that I firmly don't believe in like ever not getting a part [for that reason]. It was for a bigger thing, a franchise thing."

The star of "The Great" now has 6.2 million Instagram followers.

Matt Baron/BEI/Shutterstock

Despite the shunning, Elle doesn't feel pressure to become part of a major franchise, but she wouldn't say "no" if the right role was offered.

"It does something for people, you know, but you also don't know if [major franchises] gonna work sometimes, which is also scary," she said.

While she did take the role of Aurora in "Maleficent," Elle typically stars in smaller productions and TV series.

"If you want to do your indie work, especially in producing, now I realize, well, there are scripts that I want to take a chance on and produce and they're small, but then you know you have to know, maybe it's about the experience," Elle said. She then acknowledged, "If you want to do your indie work, especially in producing now, if you have the backing of knowing that you have that thing [a big franchise], it does make you breathe better."

Son of rock icon worth $300M has already cashed out, blown through inheritance: Report

Although Rod Stewart doesn't appear to be anywhere near knocking on death's door, his son has already "cashed out" his inheritance, a new report claims.

Page Six says Sean, 42, has "blown through his inheritance early in an attempt to rebrand his clothing line," Dirty Weekend.

"It's insane because this is the third time I think he's relaunching Dirty Weekend," an insider said. "Maybe third time's the charm."

Rob Latour/Shutterstock

How much money Sean supposedly got in his inheritance isn't known, but the "Maggie May" rocker is estimated to be worth about $300 million.

Just two months ago, Sean hyped up his clothing brand on Instagram, writing, "Really proud of the work me and @hectordemarquez have put into rebranding dirtyweekend. Someone who finally sees my vision what makes a successful business and entrepreneur is the team you have behind you."

Sean and his famous father are quite close. One of Rod's eight children, Sean is fairly well-known, largely due to his appearance on the short-lived reality show "Sons of Hollywood" in 2017. Sean was also by Rod's side during a New Year's Eve scuffle in Florida in 2019.

According to a probable cause affidavit, Rod told police he and his family were trying to get the children in their group access to a private event at the hotel. A security guard resisted, telling Rod and his group that they didn't have access to the area and asked them to leave. Around this time, Sean allegedly got "nose to nose" with the security guard. A skirmish eventually ensued and police said Rod then punched the security guard in his left ribcage area.

Both Rod and Sean eventually pleaded guilty to battery.

While clearly pleased with the relaunch of his clothing line, Sean also has a lot to celebrate, as he recently became a newlywed, having tied the knot with Jody Weintraub in Las Vegas on Valentine's Day. Sean and Jody, the daughter of late producer Jerry Weintraub, have been friends since high school.

The relaunch and wedding also come after Sean was injured when he was hit by a truck and rushed to the hospital. He has since recovered.
