It's time to take a look at all the ways stars were nothing like the rest of us so far this year…
NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers underwent successful surgery in September after suffering an Achilles tendon tear on the fourth play of his first drive after joining the New York Jets. He then shared his ideas about how he might best heal from the major injury — and one of his suggestions left some fans stunned.
On the Sept. 15 episode of "The Pat McAfee Show" — in his first interview after underoing surgery — Aaron mentioned that he was exploring traditional as well as unconventional options for getting back to the field as he recovers at his home in Malibu.
"There's ideas that some of the noises from the dolphins when they're love-making, the frequency of that is actually healing to the body," Aaron explained, sparking a slew of commentary on social media.
Keep reading for another only-the-rich-and-famous story about Aaron… plus see more ways stars are nothing like the rest of us …

He did… what?! In February 2023, Aaron Rodgers completed his stint at a "darkness retreat" in Oregon. According to ESPN, the football star — who's embraced an alternative lifestyle in recent years — spent several days at Sky Cave Retreats, where he stayed in a 300-square-foot "partially underground structure devoid of light." His temporary home away from home included a queen-size bed, a bathroom and a meditation mat. Earlier in the month, the quarterback said during an appearance on "The Pat McAfee Show" that he intended to visit an "insolation retreat" to "contemplate all things" regarding his future with the NFL.
"I've had a number of friends who have done it and had some profound experiences and it's something that's been on my radar for a few years now and I felt like it'd be awesome to do regardless of where I was leaning after this season. So it's been on the calendar for months and months and months," he said. He also previewed that his room would have "a little slot that they'll drop in some food for you" and "no music, no nothing." Well… that's certainly one way to spend the off-season!

Is she entitled — or does she actually have a point? Bethenny Frankel posted a "scathing travel review" (including video!) of the international terminal and lounge for La Compagnie, an all-business-class French boutique airline, at New Jersey's Newark Airport where she took a very pricey flight — $6,400 a ticket, she shared — on July 3. "You know I'll tell you when expensive s*** is not worth it," the former "The Real Housewives of New York City" star told her followers. She gave "bombastic side eye" as she perused the terminal, the "garbouj" duty-free section and the packed lounge, branding it all "really dreck" and a "non-event."
"Our travel last night was BAD. Just wait until you see the lounge! The biggest 'expensive s*** that's not worth it' YET!" she captioned her video post, which included a tour of "craft services": Instead of fancy food, she found only empty soup tureens, dozens of bags of Fritos, unwrapped muffins, broken pretzels, Tostitos Scoops with small containers of guacamole and salsa. She also shared clips from the bathroom, which had a shower but also crumpled, used towels. (She did, however, praise the staff, saying, "the people are working so hard here. I'll give them a great tip.") Overall, Bethenny declared, what was supposed to be a premium experience for such a huge cost was anything but: "And the rating is… DISGUSTO."

Finally! After pulling out of escrow on three massive Los Angeles-area mansions over the previous year — a $55 million Bel Air estate and two Pacific Palisades homes worth $34.5 million and $64 million, respectively, TMZ reported — newlyweds Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have completed a deal on a new home for their blended family. Even more amazing? They purchased their new Beverly Hills property — which sits on five acres and features in total 12 bedrooms, 24 bathrooms and 15 fireplaces in 46,000 square feet of living space — for just under $61 million in cash and completed the deal in a week from start to finish, TMZ reported on May 31, the same day the couple's staff was photographed moving them in.
Keep reading to see the property on move-in day and learn more about its incredible amenities…

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck's new home — for which they paid more than $60 million in cash in May — and its amenities are epic. The double-gated estate has a 155-foot-long, zero-edge pool (reportedly the largest ever built in Beverly Hills) and garage space for up to 10 cars in addition to parking for another 80 vehicles plus a cinema, wine room, whiskey lounge and a spa with a hair and nail salon, sauna and massage room. The 31,000-square-foot main house has seven bedrooms including four family suites plus two service suites at the basement level, Forbes reported — and the primary suite alone is 5,300 square feet (that's more than twice the size of the average American house!).
Other buildings on the estate include a 5,000-square-foot guest penthouse with two primary suites and an elevator, an 800-square-foot cabana with an outdoor kitchen and bathroom, a two-bedroom guardhouse, and a one-bedroom caretaker's home. And then there's the epic sports facility that includes an indoor pickleball court, a boxing ring and a sports lounge. No wonder J.Lo and Ben held out for the perfect property!

Taylor Swift thanked the people working on the U.S. leg of her "Eras" tour in the best way possible: She handed out more than $55 million in bonuses to everyone from the truck drivers hauling her gear and the riggers building her sets to the dancers, sound technicians and catering staff, People magazine confirmed on Aug. 1.
The same day, TMZ reported on what the truckers in particular scored for a job well-done: six-figure end-of-tour bonuses. The webloid revealed that before Taylor's July 29 show in Santa Clara, California, the Grammy winner gifted $100,000 to each of the 50 production truck drivers, which adds up to $5 million.

King Charles III inherited an estimated $500 million in personal wealth when his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, died in September 2023. Now his heir, first-born son Prince William, is making a fortune as he rises up the line of succession. When Charles ascended the throne, William inherited Charles's titles, becoming the Duke of Cornwall as well as the Prince of Wales, which entitles him to keep the earnings of the Duchy of Cornwall, which is a private estate that was long ago established to provide an independent income to the heir to the throne.
According to the Duchy of Cornwall's 2023 annual report, which was released in June, William earned $16.115 million and kept about $7.5 million of that, agreeing to let the Duchy hold on to more than $8.57 million for "working capital purposes," Kensington Palace said in a statement, as reported by DailyMail.com. (Charles got $14.225 million of the Duchy's profits from the year since he was still the Prince of Wales for part of the time period.) But come next year, William will earn far more with which to support wife Princess Kate and their children: He's expected to retain the full $30 million-plus that the Duchy brings in annually.

How many people can say they got a wedding gift from the president of the United States?! Former Bravo star Meghan King revealed on a July 2023 episode of "Watch What Happens Live" that President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden gave her a "beautiful crystal bowl with the presidential seal on it" when she married his nephew, attorney Cuffe Biden Owens, in 2021 (the Bidens also came to her wedding). The ex-"The Real Housewives of Orange County" star also revealed that even though she and Cuffe split two months later and annulled their marriage, they didn't return the present — and she's the one who got to keep it in the split. Impressed, "WWHL" host Andy Cohen quipped that despite the failed marriage, "maybe it was worth it," to which Meghan quickly replied, "No, Andy, it was not."

When music star John Mellencamp started seeing movie star Meg Ryan in the early 2010s during what would be a decade-long on-off romance, the "Sleepless in Seattle" actress "had just come out of her shell; I had just come out of my shell," he told Esquire in June 2023. "We started dating. And we decided to do things on our own instead of having people do stuff for us."
But both the "Jack & Diane" rocker and the "You've Got Mail" actress "were so f****** lost. We didn't know how to do anything," John confessed. For example, "I've never checked out of a hotel by myself. Her and I went to a grocery store, and they wanted our credit card, and we looked at each other and said, 'Here it is,' and they said, 'No, you've got to put it in this thing,' and we went, 'Then what happens?' We laughed at how stupid we are, so hard we cried. I think she's learned how to do everything, and I've learned how to do nothing."

At first, Guy Fieri made sure his son didn't enjoy the fruits of his Food Network labor. The "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" star shared with People magazine in February that his son drove his grandparents' Chrysler minivan when he first got his license — a condition that the food aficionado set. "I refuse to let him buy a car until he spends one year with no tickets, no accidents, driving the minivan," Guy said of son Ryder. But once that year was up, Ryder was allowed to buy a car… and he chose to purchase his brother's pick-up truck (with a little help from the money he made starring on some of his dad's shows!). Instead of just handing over the keys, however, Guy made a massive event out of Ryder's new ride: He set up a scavenger hunt on his sprawling Northern California ranch.

Model Ashley Graham earns a living with her looks, so getting her beauty sleep is important. But the way she ensures a good night's rest is… unusual. "I started taping my mouth shut when I sleep and I have never slept better — and [feel] even better when I wake up," she captioned this photo, which she posted on her Instagram Story on May 21, showing how she tapes her lips closed, adding, "Don't knock it till you try it!!"

"Savage Love" singer Jason Derulo went all out — and then some — for son Jason King's 2nd birthday party. After the music star shared a video of the epic bash — which featured a ball pit with two slides, a bounce house, a full playground, arcade games, face painting, an art table, a slime station, custom tattoos with the toddler's image, giant balloon sculptures, a magician, asparkler-covered shark cake and more — on Instagram on June 15, 2023, the "Wiggle" hitmaker owned up to the price tag. "That didn't look like a cheap party! How much did it cost?" Australian radio host Kyle Sandilands asked Jason on the air. The music star confessed, "It was pretty big. It was probably around $30,000."

In April 2023, Elvira, Mistress of the Dark — aka actress Cassandra Peterson — revealed that after she sold Brad Pitt her home in the Hollywood Hills back in 1994, he did something extraordinary: As he snapped up adjacent properties over the years, ultimately forming a nearly 2-acre compound, he allowed one of the residents, a man in his 90s, to remain there — rent-free — until he passed away many years later. "I think there were like 22 houses that were contiguous to the edge of the property. And every time they came up, he bought one," Cassandra, who purchased a house next door after selling to Brad, told People magazine in 2023 after news broke revealing the Oscar winner had just sold his estate for almost $40 million. Brad was "very, very kind to the husband" who lived in one of those homes, she explained. "His wife passed away and the husband, John, lived there. I know that Brad allowed him to live there without paying anything until he died," she said, adding that John lived to be 105!

Grammy winner Chance the Rapper took to Twitter on Feb. 26, 2023, to share a heartwarming story seemingly about a stranger who gave up his seat on an airplane so that Chance and his 7-year-old daughter, Kensli, could sit together — but there's an only-in-Hollywood twist! "So I just got on this plane with my daughter, and found out our seats weren't next to each other. I really ain't wanna inconvenience anyone by asking them to swap seats, but before I could say anything this kind older gentleman offered his seat to Kensli so we could sit together," Chance wrote on Twitter. "We both said thank you and as he stands up, I realize it's THE Martin Short!! So cool and Kensli freaked out cause she's obsessed with The Santa Clause 3. What an awesome person! SHOUTOUT TO JACK FROST," he added alongside a photo of the famed "Saturday Night Live" comedian in character as Jack Frost in the 2006 movie.

Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl is the real deal and a total hero to the homeless. Around midnight one night in late February 2023, the Nirvana drummer showed up at Hope The Mission in Los Angeles — which helps people who don't have housing — with an enormous meat smoker, TMZ reported. He then spent the next 16 hours (cooking for 14 of those, and letting the meat rest for another two) preparing ribs, pork butt, brisket, cabbage, coleslaw and beans that fed about 500 people at three different shelters. On top of that, Dave — who grabbed a little shut-eye in the parking lot while the meat was smoking — paid for all of it himself.

Must be nice! On a June episode of "The Kardashians," Kim Kardashian got the ultimate special treatment at the DMV. The reality star and SKIMS founder walked into a Los Angeles DMV office — which was opened just for her — with her hairstylist, makeup artist and a lighting team so she could retake her driver's license picture, which she called "the most important photo you'll ever take in your life." After her glam squad touched up her makeup and hair and waited as Kim asked a DMV employee for photo approval — then posed for a second snapshot after deciding the first wasn't good enough — she explained, "I really just want it to look good, like why not bring a light and a glam team? It's definitely crazy, but I don't care."

Imagine getting paid to wear some of the most stunning bling on the planet… On March 16, Page Six Style reported that Bulgari paid Cara Delevingne nearly $250K to wear jewels from the Italian luxury fashion house's snake-themed collection to the 2023 Oscars. The model-actress wore a stunning Elie Saab gown on Hollywood's biggest night and completed her look with a Serpenti choker — which resembles a coiled snake wrapped around her neck — and matching earrings shaped like snake heads.

People gain weight for myriad reasons, but Austin Butler went about packing on the pounds for the movie "Elvis" in an unconventional way: He microwaved ice cream and drank it. "It's fun for a week or so," he said in an interview with Variety that debuted online on Feb. 16, adding that he took inspiration from Ryan Gosling, who microwaved ice cream to gain weight for a 2010 role. "And then you feel awful with yourself. But we were planning on shooting chronologically in the beginning. That quickly went out the window, then especially with COVID. It was just impossible." The Golden Globe winner said he would also often eat two dozen doughnuts in a single sitting. "I really started to pack on some pounds," he said. Ultimately, however, he wore a padded suit and prosthetics to show Elvis's weight gain.

"On my way to serve some community service time… DON'T COMMIT CRIMES!" she wrote. Welcome to ¢ommunity $ervi¢e.

No matter how many times you're told to choose a secure password, people still make poor picks with easy-to-crack numbers and words like 123456 and querty. But it turns out that a lot of folks also turn to popular or in-the-news celebrity names and phrases for their passwords: In March 2023, Atlas VPN revealed courtesy of SpyCloud — which extracted the info from leaked password lists found on the dark web — some of the most commonly used credentials that happened to include stars' names. In 2022, variations of Taylor Swift, Queen Elizabeth II, Bad Bunny, Jennifer Lopez, Ben Affleck and Elon Musk were among the most popular celebrity names used as passwords.
The release of Taylor's 2022 album "Midnights" resulted in passwords such as taylor, taylor swift, swiftie and midnights being used 186,000 times, the study found. The death of Queen Elizabeth II led people to use queen, queen elizabeth and royal family as passwords at least 167,000 times. Bad Bunny — who was the most streamed artist on Spotify in 2022 –inspired bad bunny and some of his song titles, like titi and verano, to be used as passwords 141,000 times. Elon Musk's 2022 purchase of Twitter led twitter and elon musk to be used as passwords 74,000 times. And Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck's summer wedding following their reconciliation was reflected in 46,000 passwords that included the words jennifer lopez, jlo, ben affleck and bennifer. A lot of people, it turns out, also used youtube, netflix and hulu as their passwords — the streaming service names were picked 261,000 times combined.

Super Bowl champ Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany Matthews, pulled out all the stops when their daughter, Sterling, turned 2 in mid-February. Sterling's birthday bash featured a balloon wall, a donut bar, custom signs and all the candy her little heart could desire. But that's not all! Among the gifts the proud parents lavished upon their baby girl was a mini Chanel bag that retails for $4,800. (Never mind the fact that Sterling is barely big enough to hold a purse on her own!) Brittany took to Instagram to share a slideshow of photos featuring some highlights from the pink-themed party, plus a recap video.

"Bling Empire" star Christine Chiu and her husband, plastic surgeon Gabriel Chiu, are royally connected — to Britain's King Charles III. The reality TV personality and the doctor have used some of the vast fortune they've amassed (which DailyMail.com estimates at $64 million) through Gabriel's work at Beverly Hills Plastic Surgery Inc. to make large donations that have funded The Prince's Foundation's Integrated Health and Wellbeing Programme located at Dumfries House — an 18th Century Palladian mansion restored by Charles — in Scotland. There, alternative treatments such as acupuncture, reflexology and hypnotherapy are offered to help patients seeking assistance for obesity, diabetes and infertility. Christine has met Charles multiple times and even sat next to him at a fundraiser, later declaring him to be "a really cool guy" who's "incredibly charming" with "a wicked sense of humor."

That's one costly call! Kim Zolciak-Biermann revealed on her Instagram Story in February that she had a three-hour and 35-minute call with psychic Natalie Tomlinson. She reportedly stayed at the luxury residence for six nights for a total of $510,000.

Kim Kardashian's penchant for items previously worn by iconic women in history (i.e., her 2022 Met Gala dress that belonged to Marilyn Monroe) is well-documented at this point! The latest target of her lust, according to a Jan. 18., 2023, report from TMZ, is a stunning amethyst and diamond cross pendant necklace previously worn by Princess Diana (see it here). Kim snagged the coveted piece at a Sotheby's auction for a cool $197, 453. The Atallah Cross was crafted by luxury jewelry company Garrard as a private commission that was first purchased by businessman Naim Attallah in the '80s and lent to Diana on multiple occasions — including to a London charity gala in 1987.

(Ana previously revealed that she made the decision to leave L.A. after she was followed by paparazzi following her failed relationship with Ben Affleck.) Her Vermont home, however, is something many Angelenos could only ever dream about: In addition to being fully furnished, the six-bedrooms, eight-bathroom home comes with 30 acres of land. Prior to making the move to the East Coast in November 2022, Ana resided in Venice Beach, which is just south of L.A., for seven years.

On Jan. 5, 2023, Selena Gomez took to TikTok to share her nighttime skincare routine, which included the use of some high-end beauty products that left many fans floored. Said TikTok user Jasmine Darya in a now-viral video discussing Sel's routine, "OK, we have to talk about Selena Gomez's makeup routine real quick 'cause I have never seen anyone do any of this stuff that she's doing…I have to wonder if she's on another level." Selena cleansed her face with La Mer's concentrate serum — which clocks in at $500. "So, $500 serum. And she used that first with makeup on to break up the makeup on her face, which I've never heard of anyone doing," Jasmine said. "I feel like it's the bougiest possible version of oil cleansing that I have ever seen." Continued Jasmine, "She takes the Bioderma — I also use the product, love it — on a white towel, which is so crazy to me 'cause I feel like I have, like, two white towels in my apartment, and I hate when I get makeup on them… Like, I don't know. Is that just me? I get so pissed. But she, like, purposefully put it on a white towel to wipe her makeup off, which is just so bougie. I can't even handle it." Jasmine ended her video praising Selena, saying, "I don't know. I sound like a psycho, but I thought her routine was really crazy, full of things I've never seen before, and she's ahead of her time." Based on the video, the Rare Beauty founder's skincare routine — which includes a mixture of costly and more affordable products — totaled approximately $650. The "Only Murders in the Building" actress does note in her video's caption, however, that she received most of these products for free.

Comedian Gabriel Iglesias is the ultimate dog dad! On Dec. 3, 2022, the "Mr. Iglesias" star took to Instagram to show off the over-the-top quinceañera he threw for his Chihuahua, Risa, which cost a reported $100,000. "Party of the year all for my little princess," Gabriel captioned a video that shows him pushing the four-legged birthday girl in a custom carriage. "Risa has given me so many years of happiness. I just wanted to celebrate her. I even wore pants." Gabriel told the "Today" show that he got the idea for the lavish pet party after seeing a video of a man throwing one for his own dog. The comedian's first thought was, "No way he loves his dog more than I love my dog. Challenge accepted." Said Gabriel of his decision to go all-out for this celebration, "So I said, 'Alright, I'm gonna do this once. I've never had a daughter, I've never had a kid of my own, so I'm gonna go full blown on this one.' And I did." Risa had three costume changes during the bash for more than 300 guests. "I went full-blown and people say, 'Oh, you wasted money,' but it's like, no," he says. "I'm celebrating something that means the world to me. I'm not setting money on fire every day. But this particular night, yes. So I spared no expense. It was a very expensive night, but very memorable." Risa never left her owner's side during the party. "The entire night, I had Risa in my arms, and that's usually the case. Everybody wanted to see her, everybody wanted to take a picture and stuff like that, which is cool," he explained. "I think Risa's favorite part was when everybody left and I took her to Jack in the Box to get chicken nuggets."

"So I'm trying to think of who my neighbors are," recalled the "Emo Girl" singer before revealing that he lives across the street from movie star Michael B. Jordan. Though the "Creed" franchise actor was on set when MGK called to borrow a baking sheet, Michael had someone else who was in the house retrieve it for the music star.

But are we really that surprised?! According to All About Cats, Taylor Swift's Scottish fold Olivia Benson (who's named after Mariska Hargitay's "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" character) is the third richest pet in the world with a net worth of $97 million. Yes, you read that correctly. Olivia — one of the "Midnights" singer's three cats — "earned her fortune starring alongside her owner in several music videos, has crafted her own merchandise line, and has had cameos in many big-budget ads, including for the likes of Diet Coke and Ned Sneakers," reported All About Cats. Taylor is also a mom to Meredith Grey, another Scottish fold, and Benjamin Button, a ragdoll she purchased in 2019. During a 2014 appearance on "Live with Kelly and Michael," Taylor spoke about being considered a cat lady, saying, "Before I got the second cat, I was kind of canvassing everyone I knew, going, 'Is cats [a] cat lady?' Two cats is cats, and there's more than one. But they're like, 'No, three cats is a cat lady, two cats is a party.'"

Drake's never been one to skimp on luxury items! On Dec. 12, 2022, jeweler Alex Moss took to Instagram to reveal his latest creation — a majorly blinged-out necklace that paid homage to all the women the rapper has loved, lost and nearly contemplated becoming engaged to. "New piece titled 'Previous Engagements' for all the times he thought about it but never did it," wrote Alex alongside the video. The custom piece — which the "Honestly, Nevermind" rapper is wearing (pictured) — is made up of "42 engagement rings" totaling "351.38 carats in diamonds." Sheesh! The multimillion-dollar piece reportedly took 14 months to create. Every diamond was hand-selected and set in 18-carat white gold. Diamond expert Zack Stone told Page Six that it's "difficult to estimate a striking piece like this, particularly without information about the quality, but it looks to be worth approximately $12.5 million."

On Jan. 9, 2023, The Philadelphia Inquirer reported that Meek Mill, Michael Rubin and Kevin Hart (pictured) are donating $7 million to educational causes in the Philadelphia area. Most of the funds are being allocated to support scholarships for low-income students attending private schools during the 2023-24 school year. The extensive donation will also fund electronic devices and additional classroom resources. Meek and Kevin are both from Philadelphia and attended public schools in the city, while billionaire Fanatics CEO and former Philadelphia 76ers owner Michael Rubin grew up in Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania, and resides in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania.

In addition to contributing to a $7 million donation to private schools in Philadelphia alongside comedian Kevin Hart and billionaire Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin, Meek Mill has continued to show up for people from his hometown in selfless ways. On Dec. 24, 2022, People reported that the rapper paid bail for 20 incarcerated Philadelphia women so they could reunite with their families in time for the holidays. "It was devastating for me to be away from my son during the holidays when I was incarcerated," said Meek, who founded REFORM Alliance in 2018 alongside Michael, JAY-Z and others, on his decision to help these women out. "So I understand what these women and their families are going through." He continued, "No one should have to spend the holidays in jail simply because they can't afford bail… I'm grateful for the opportunity to help these women be with their families and loved ones during this special time of year."

While the stars of the "Real Housewives" franchises are known for their extravagant lifestyles, it seems not all that glitters is gold — and not all former Bravo stars have a limitless supply of cash to keep up with their spending habits. Former "The Real Housewives of Orange County" star Braunwyn Windham-Burke — who filed to divorce her husband of 23 years, Sean Burke, in October 2022 — revealed shocking details regarding her finances in court filings, The Sun reported on Dec. 13, 2022. "I am unemployed. Except for two years during our nearly 23-year marriage, I have stayed home to care for our seven children," she wrote. "I have relied on [Sean] for all financial security since I was 20 years old. I have relied on [Sean] to make all financial decisions for 23 years and I have effectively been kept in the dark regarding the true extent of our business interests and assets… Recently, [Sean] stopped providing any support to me and I am unable to provide for my own support or the support of our children. I have had to rely on [a] family member to assist in meeting my basic living expenses and even expenses for our children." The ex-reality TV star also admitted to having just $2,900 in her bank account. She requested that Sean pay her $10,000 a month in spousal support, claiming he earns $65,000 a month in gross income.

Something's not adding up here! On Dec. 13, 2022, Page Six revealed that plastic surgeon Lenny Hochstein was accusing his estranged wife, "The Real Housewives of Miami" star Lisa Hochstein, of buying $10,000 in designer goods in just one week — despite her claim that he cut her off and left her unable to afford food or diapers for their kids. In court documents obtained by the outlet, Lisa reportedly agreed to reduce the monthly limit on her American Express card, which Lenny pays for, to $5,000 as of November 2022, after the Bravo star apparently racked up $200,000 in charges in a five-month period. However, despite allegedly agreeing to the terms, the plastic surgeon claims Lisa spent more than $2,330 on a Louis Vuitton purse, $3,300 at Bergdorf Goodman on a "high-fashion purse" and $3,500 on "fine ladies' clothing" before the limit went into effect. Thankfully, the former couple struck a deal, with documents revealing Lisa returned the bag she bought from Bergdorf Goodman in exchange for $4,300 in cash and checks from her estranged hubby.

Imagine making a million dollars in just a matter of minutes! During the weekend of Dec. 2, 2022, a Twitter user tried to take down Cardi B while accusing her of "performing in someone's backyard" during Miami Art Basel. Well, it turns out the "backyard" was actually the SLS South Beach property in Miami Beach, one of South Florida's ritziest hotels. Cardi further shut down the Twitter troll by revealing her paycheck from that evening. "I got [paid] 1 million dollars to perform at this elite bankers event private event for 400 people and only for 35 minutes," she wrote in a since-deleted tweet. "Think about that when you type about this Grammy winner." The gig, according to reports, was for Chase Sapphire Reserve credit card members.

Ever wonder how much it costs to support a Kardashian-West kid? According to court documents filed on Nov. 29, 2022, Kanye West has to give Kim Kardashian $200,000 a month in child support payments for their four kids. The former couple share joint custody and neither is paying spousal support, according to court docs. The SKIMS founder and her Yeezy designer ex-husband will also split their kids' security and educational expenses 50/50. In a surprising turn of events, Ye will give Kim the home he owns that borders her current residence in the elite Los Angeles neighborhood of Hidden Hills. Ye purchased the property for $4.5 million in December 2021 in an effort to remain close to his kids, though he never lived in it. Kim will keep the $60 million estate where she and the kids live and she'll also retain property she owns in Idaho. Kanye, according to TMZ, will keep his $60 million home in Malibu, two ranches in Wyoming, 30 acres in Calabasas, California, a home in Belgium and his childhood residence in Chicago.
