Comedy star, 51, marries fitness instructor, 24, in Hawaii: Details

Comedian Dane Cook, 51, married fitness instructor Kelsi Taylor, 24, on a private estate in Oahu, Hawaii, on Sept. 23, after six years of dating.

People magazine, which has wedding photos, reported that the couple — who over the years have made headlines for their 26-year-plus age difference — wed in front of just 20 guests.

"We chose Hawaii because it has such a special place in our hearts and our relationship," Dane told People. "It was one of the first trips we ever went on together and we continue to go back often. It's such an oasis, and we couldn't be more excited to have spent our wedding week surrounded by the beauty of Oahu."

Their wedding ceremony

For her Hawaii wedding, Kelsi Taylor wore the Solstice gown from the brand Grace Loves Lace with a Grace veil and clear heels by Amina Muaddi, People magazine reported. "It was one of the first dresses I tried on, and I immediately fell in love with it," she said.

"Marry Me" by Train was the song she chose for her walk down the aisle. "Every time I heard this song it made me so emotional," she said. "I knew it was the pick for the ceremony." She and new husband Dane Cook exited to the hit "You Make My Dreams" by Hall & Oates.

For their vows, the couple went traditional "because to be perfectly honest, I had a feeling that Dane would totally outshine my speech," Kelsi told People. "He has the best way with words, and I knew I wouldn't even be able to match up to his delivery. I also really just wanted to keep our more intimate vows private and to give him a handwritten letter the morning of."

Their wedding reception

Dane Cook and Kelsi Taylor's 20 guests helped the newlyweds celebrate at an oceanside reception where they were greeted with fresh coconuts and '80s music. "We both grew up listening to the '80s and it's such a massive part of our life! We've always bonded over it," Kelsi — who was born in 1998 — told People magazine.

After the bride changed into a second dress — a fitted blush-colored gown by Katie May — they and their guests enjoyed a dinner featuring wedge and local green salads with a yuzu honey dressing, seared beef tenderloin and roasted carrots, People reported.

Desserts included vegan, gluten-free vanilla and traditional vanilla cakes plus a dessert bar with chocolate-covered strawberries and mini donuts. "Because you can never have too many desserts on your wedding day or ever," Kelsi told People.

Their honeymoon — and giving back to Hawaii

Newlyweds Dane Cook and Kelsi Taylor are honeymooning in Hawaii — they're pictured here on vacation in the state in 2018 — where they also married on Sept. 23.

Afterward, they'll head to Los Angeles where the comedian is doing a benefit show at The Laugh Factory in LA on Oct. 5 — 100% of the proceeds are going to support the Maui Strong Fund in the wake of the summer's deadly wildfires.

"I've always loved the genuine appreciation and pride Hawaiians have for their beautiful land, and they are always so kind, accommodating and welcoming. So to learn about the fires last month was beyond heartbreaking. But in the face of tragedy and loss, it's been inspiring to see the strength and resilience of Hawaii," Dane explained to People magazine of why he wanted to do the benefit.

How they met

Comedian Dane Cook met and started dating Kelsi Taylor in May 2017 when she was 18 and he was 44.

In August 2018, Dane revealed in a fan Q&A on his Instagram Story how they got together: "We met at a game night I host at my place," he wrote. "We were friends for a while and soon after fell in like with each [other] and then upgraded to love."

What he's said about their 26-year age gap

Dane Cook knows people have a lot to say about the more than 26-year age gap between himself and Kelsi Taylor. He's claimed he doesn't care, and he's made fun of it too, including in his 2022 comedy special "Above It All."

"Being able to poke fun at it and have some jokes at our own expense, I think it prepared us for what was going to happen," he told People magazine in 2022. "Which is people were going to put us as a target, so if we make the joke first and we're laughing at it, you can't really hurt us with that."

According to Dane, "We knew going into the relationship, we knew that people would have an opinion in the public eye. But mostly, we were very early making jokes where I would say something like, 'I'd love to have a family,' and she would say, 'Oh, I'd love to have a family when I'm young,' and I'd say, 'Well, I'd like that as well because I'd like to hold my children on my death bed.'"

He's said that Kelsi's sense of humor has helped prepare her for the criticism. "She has an incredible sense of humor like I do," he told People in 2022. "People don't see it as much because she's very chill, but she's got a savage sense of humor. You want to roast? You want to sit and watch a 'Real Housewives' with her. She is tremendously funny, and so being able to poke fun at it and have some jokes at our own expense, I think it prepared us for what was going to happen."

He proposed in the summer of 2022 after five years of dating.

Who she is

Mrs. Dane Cook, Kelsi Taylor, is a certified Pilates and TRX instructor as well as a certified food therapist and nutritionist.

She's also a singer. According to People magazine, Kelsi, who grew up in Nevada before moving to California, has provided backing vocals for artists including Demi Lovato and Little Big Town.

In 2018, Dane directed and produced a music video for his future bride's song "Hours."

Iconic rocker lashes out at fans furious at him for reading autobiography during first hour of his concert

Roger Waters angered Pink Floyd fans on Sunday, Oct. 8, when he chose to spend the first hour of his concert reading from his unpublished autobiography rather than singing. He also reportedly insulted annoyed fans who had gathered to watch him perform Pink Floyd's iconic "Dark Side of the Moon" album.

Following the concert, several attendees blasted the rocker on social media, and one said the night was "ruined" by Roger's rants.

Roger Waters was supposed to perform Pink Floyd's "Dark Side Of The Moon" album on Oct. 8 at the London Palladium. He did, to be fair, but he had other ideas before diving into the music. For the first hour of the show, Roger decided to read snippets of his unpublished book to the audience — at one point he even spoke of pets, including a duck named Donald. Adding to the uncomfortableness, Roger told fans to "f*** off" if they didn't like it, DailyMail.com reports.

"If you want to tell stories tell them in your own time to your own audience in your own f****** theatre," he reportedly said. "By the way, if you can show constraint and stop shouting again."

Although Roger Waters did eventually begin performing, the 60-minute rant left many fans with a bad taste in their mouths.

"I am sorry to say but tonight's concert was such a let down. The actual songs were great but the self-indulgent crap was interminable and finishing over 1 hour later than timetabled is inexcusable," one attendee vented on X.

Another said, "When he sticks to his fantastic music he is brilliant. But 60mins of music over two and a half hours is barely a concert. The rambling nonsense ruined a wonderful last 50mins."

The Independent said Roger Waters read his unpublished memoir while sitting behind a desk on stage. He also ranted about WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, who's been locked up in London's Belmarsh prison since April 2019 after being found guilty of breaching the Bail Act.

The musician recently visited Julian in his London prison and has argued for his release.

Roger Waters has a history of controversial comments and antics. He has been highly complimentary towards Russian President Vladimir Putin and said the war in Ukraine "was not unprovoked."

The rocker's comments were addressed by Ukrainian ambassador Sergiy Kyslytsya at the UN security council's meeting in February. There, the Ukrainian politician referenced the ban Pink Floyd faced in the Soviet Union in 1979 for protesting the invasion of Afghanistan.

"It is ironic, if not hypocritical, that Mr. Waters attempts now to whitewash another invasion," the Ukrainian diplomat said. "How sad for his former fans to see him accepting the role of just another brick in the wall – the wall of Russian disinformation and propaganda.

"Keep strumming the guitar, Mr. Waters," he continued. "It suits you more than lecturing the security council on how to do its job. No flying pigs here, please."

Over the years, Roger Waters has been accused of being an anti-semite, as well, which he denies. In May, he donned a Nazi-style coat during a concert in Berlin. He later said his outfit was "quite clearly" a statement against fascism, injustice and bigotry.

"Attempts to portray those elements as something else are disingenuous and politically motivated," he wrote on X.

Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour once said Roger is "antisemitic to [his] rotten core."

In the documentary "The Dark Side of Roger Waters," it was alleged that he called his agent a "f****** Jew" and once referred to the cuisine at a Lebanese restaurant as "Jew food."

Divorcing TV star and singer from a famous family share major update in custody case, more details on their split

Barely two weeks after Joe Jonas filed to divorce Sophie Turner, their split took a dramatic turn when Sophie sued him for the return of their two children — Willa, 3, and Delphine, 1 — and revealed new details about their breakup.

On Sept. 21, the British actress filed a lawsuit in a Manhattan court seeking "the immediate return of children wrongfully removed or wrongfully retained," according to documents obtained by media outlets including The Messenger. The "Game of Thrones" actress wants a court order requiring Joe — whom she claimed was unlawfully keeping their children with him in New York — to produce their daughters' passports and return the girls to her so she can take them to England, which she described as their "habitual residence."

THE LATEST: On Oct. 10, TMZ reported that Joe and Sophie had reached a new temporary custody agreement following four days of mediation. Keep reading for all the details on this major development in their divorce and custody case…

A new temporary agreement

Following four days of mediation, Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas struck a temporary custody deal, TMZ reported on Oct. 10: Settlement docs obtained by the webloid indicate that "an amicable resolution on all issues between them is forthcoming."

Later the same day, the exes released a joint statement: "After a productive and successful mediation, we have agreed that the children will spend time equally in loving homes in both the U.S. and the U.K. We look forward to being great co-parents," they said.

For now, they've agreed that their two daughters will be with Sophie from Oct. 9 to Oct. 21 and that during that time, she can travel with them to her native U.K., though she must bring them back to America, where Joe then gets custody until Nov. 2. Then they go back to their mom for a few weeks, then back to their dad, who has them over the Thanksgiving holiday. Sophie will have her girls for Christmas and New Year's until her time ends on Jan. 7 — which is just a few days after the former couple's trial is set to begin.

However, the forthcoming final settlement could make that trial date moot.

On Oct. 3, a Manhattan federal judge set a Jan. 2 trial date, which will decide who will get custody and where the girls will live. Sophie's attorneys had asked the judge for the trial to take place as soon as possible because Sophie has a new project that starts filming in England in January, the New York Post reported. Joe's lawyers asked for a date next year after his band's tour ends — they have dates booked until Dec. 9, then hit the road again in late February 2024.

PREVIOUS AGREEMENT: On Sept. 25 — four days after Sophie Turner sued estranged husband Joe Jonas asking a New York court to force him to return their daughters' passports to her so she could take them to England — an interim consent order was filed in New York indicating the former couple had reached a temporary agreement, E! News reported.

According to the consent order, both Joe and Sophie, who's seen here on a Sept. 22 stroll with their daughters, "are prohibited from removing their two children… or causing the children to be removed from the jurisdictions of the United States District Courts for the Southern & Eastern Districts of New York pending further order of this Court." That means the girls couldn't be taken out of the greater New York City area, which also includes Hudson Valley and Long Island, by either parent as the legal drama played out.

Joe and Sophie were also both ordered to appear at an initial pretrial conference on Oct. 3.

Joe's "bombshell letter"

On Sept. 29, Page Six obtained a new court filing made by Sophie Turner three days earlier in which she submitted what the outlet called a "bombshell letter" — along with other information supporting her claim that she and Joe Jonas were in the process of moving to England with their daughters before he filed for divorce — that Joe wrote to the owners of a $7.5 million home in Wallingford in Oxford, England, earlier in 2023 in hopes it would persuade the family to sell their property.

The owners agreed: Joe and Sophie put down a 10% deposit of $914,130 on the house on July 7; the deal closes on Dec. 2. (In Britain, property sales take several months longer than the typical escrow period in America.)

"When my wife and I decided we were going to spend more time in the U.K. and search for a permanent home, our daughter expressed three unwavering requirements: having chickens, a pony and a Wendy house," Joe wrote in the letter. "While many of the houses we viewed met this criteria, the moment we turned the corner and caught sight of the charming blue shutters adorning [redacted], we experienced a sense of magic unlike anything we had felt before."

Joe also gushed about the property's vegetable garden and noted that one of the home's rooms would be an ideal spot for a recording studio. "We could tell that your family have truly loved living here and we can envision our children growing up here and making this our forever home," he wrote, concluding the letter, "I really think Sophie and I will be able to look after [redacted names] and for many years pay homage to the magic you have created here."

Sophie's court filings claim that she and Joe left their Miami home on March 10 and enrolled older daughter Willa in nursery school in England and Wales full time after April — the same month they listed their Miami home, which sold in August. She also revealed she and Joe shipped many of their personal belongings to the U.K. between May and July.

Joe's rep and attorneys did not comment on the filing but a source close to the situation told Page Six the former couple have "never been residents of the U.K.," adding that "residency is a legal term and that is how the courts will define it. Residency includes things like where you have your driver's license, where you vote, where your kids go to school, where you last lived as a family for a significant period of time (specifically 6 months). There is no place the family lived for 6 months or longer other than Florida." According to the source close to the situation, as far as Joe's letter goes, "Intention, expressed in a letter or otherwise, does not equal residency. Actions do. And so while the letter was inserted in the motion in order to pique the attention of reporters, it won't actually be material to determine legal residency."

The battle over their kids: Details of Sophie's court filing

According to The Messenger, Sophie Turner's Sept. 21 legal filing revealed that she and Joe Jonas met on Sept. 17 — nearly two weeks after he filed for divorce — to discuss their separation and during that conversation, "The Mother reiterated the parties' agreed plan for the children to return home to England that week. The Father has possession of the children's passports. He refuses to return the passports to the Mother and refuses to send the children home to England with the Mother."

According to Sophie's filing, she and Joe had made the decision to look for their "forever home" in England over the Christmas holidays in 2022. "The parties agreed that the timing was right for the family to settle permanently in England, particularly given the older child's age," her filing stated. "The parties were both excited for the family's move to England."

Both children are "fully involved and integrated in all aspects of daily and cultural life in England" and "participate in extracurricular activities, playdates, and cultural activities" there, Sophie explained.

According to a report from TMZ, her filing — which cites the Hague Convention, an international treaty that deals with child abduction across country lines — also revealed that "with some hesitation," Sophie and Joe agreed their children would stay with him while his band, the Jonas Brothers, toured America because she was busy shooting a "very intense" and time-consuming TV series in the U.K.

She said they agreed that when she finished filming in September, she'd return to New York to "collect the children and return home to England." Joe, she claimed, has since refused to honor that agreement.

According to The Messenger, Sophie and Joe were building a home in England that's set to be completed at the end of the year.

How she found out he'd filed for divorce

In Sophie Turner's Sept. 21 court filing demanding estranged husband Joe Jonas return their children and their passports to her, she shared new information on their split.

According to Sophie's filing, as reported by The Messenger, "the breakdown of the parties' marriage happened very suddenly."

She and Joe had an argument on Aug. 15. That was Joe's 34th birthday. She said she then "found out through the media" that he "had filed for divorce" in early September.

After Sophie Turner filed a lawsuit against estranged husband Joe Jonas over their daughters in a Manhattan court on Sept. 21, the Jonas Brothers singer's rep issued a lengthy statement to The Messenger:

"After multiple conversations with Sophie, Joe initiated divorce proceedings in Florida, as Florida is the appropriate jurisdiction for the case. Sophie was aware that Joe was going to file for divorce. The Florida Court has already entered an order that restricts both parents from relocating the children. Sophie was served with this order on September 6, 2023, more than two weeks ago," the statement began.

"Joe and Sophie had a cordial meeting this past Sunday [Sept. 17] in New York, when Sophie came to New York to be with the kids. They have been with her since that meeting. Joe's impression of the meeting was that they had reached an understanding that they would work together towards an amicable co-parenting setup.

"Less than 24 hours later, Sophie advised that she wanted to take the children permanently to the UK. Thereafter, she demanded via this filing that Joe hand over the children's passports so that she could take them out of the country immediately. If he complies, Joe will be in violation of the Florida court order.

"Joe is seeking shared parenting with the kids so that they are raised by both their mother and father, and is of course also okay with the kids being raised both in the U.S. and the UK. The children were born in the U.S. and have spent the vast majority of their lives in the U.S. They are American citizens.

"This is an unfortunate legal disagreement about a marriage that is sadly ending. When language like 'abduction' is used, it is misleading at best, and a serious abuse of the legal system at worst. The children were not abducted. After being in Joe's care for the past three months at the agreement of both parties, the children are currently with their mother. Sophie is making this claim only to move the divorce proceedings to the UK and to remove the children from the U.S. permanently," the statement concluded.

When the drama started

The first reports of trouble in Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner's marriage emerged over Labor Day weekend.

Within days, whispers of a split were confirmed when Joe, 34, filed for divorce in Miami on Sept. 5, marking the end of his four-year marriage to the "Game of Thrones" actress, 27, with whom he shares two daughters.

Before Joe filed, sources told TMZ that the young couple — who married in 2019 — had been having "serious problems" for the previous six months. According to TMZ, the Jonas Brothers singer had been caring for their kids "pretty much all of the time" over the last three months despite being in the midst of a tour with his siblings. Ultimately, their issues came to a head because, as one source told TMZ, "She likes to party, he likes to stay at home. They have very different lifestyles."

"Living separate lives for months"

Joe Jonas's Sept. 5 divorce filing was hardly a "surprise" to people close to him and Sophie Turner, a source close to the exes told People magazine, because the singer and the actress spent "the whole summer apart."

According to the source, "They were not separated but they've been living separate lives for months."

Joe and Sophie "haven't gotten along in a while," the source further claimed, "but they're hoping to resolve this all amicably."

What that looks like is unclear. "As far as custody goes, this literally all just happened, so they're figuring it out in real time," People's source explained. "They did have a prenup. As a family, they were based in Florida. The kids were with him the last few months, traveling with him with family while he's been on tour. Sophie's been working in the U.K."

"Feeling trapped"

On the same day Joe Jonas filed for divorce, DailyMail.com published a report speculating about what led him to end his marriage to Sophie Turner after four years and two children.

"Sophie feels like she's only just waking up to what her life and reality really is. She became famous at a very young age, then married and had kids at a young age and never really had the teenage years of sleeping around and just having carefree fun with friends," a source — allegedly a friend — told DailyMail.com. "She feels like her life has stalled after 'Game of Thrones' and so has her personal life. Since the kids came along, she's feeling trapped. She's the only person in her tight friendship group who is married with two children."

Sophie — who's now 27 and married Joe when she was 23 and he was 29 — had been working in her native U.K. all summer, which influenced things further, according to the friend. "Now she feels that she wants to make up for the time she's lost as a young person. [Joe] wants a more settled life but she's not ready for that because she feels that she's not even had a teen or young adult life," the friend added.

"The final nail in the coffin"

On Sept. 5, DailyMail.com reported on what led Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas's marriage to ultimately fail. In addition to Sophie "feeling trapped" (see previous slide), a friend claimed, there were other major points of contention for the couple: a clash over having more children, Sophie's homesickness and stress over comparisons to one of her sisters-in-law.

"Joe would like another kid, he's a real family man," said the friend. "But while Sophie's been in the U.K. [this summer working], she's also realized just how much she misses this country; it's the final nail in the coffin for them."

According to the friend, Sophie also felt pressure because she faced comparisons to actress sister-in-law Priyanka Chopra, 41, who's married to Joe's younger brother, musician-actor Nick Jonas, 30, with whom she shares a daughter. "His brother's wife is a lot older and mature, and the family compare Sophie to Priyanka, which has put [Sophie] under a lot of stress," the friend said. (Oldest Jonas Brothers band member Kevin Jonas, 36, has been married to Danielle Deleasa, 36 — they have two kids — since 2009.)

"Nick is younger than Joe but is more settled. He and Priyanka are on the same page about their careers and family life. Joe and his family want him to be in a relationship like this, but Sophie feels that she's only 27 and hasn't even really lived because she's spent all her good, young years working," the friend continued. "It wasn't an issue at first but the age gap between Sophie and Joe has become a real problem. They want very different things."

A mysterious Ring camera video

One day after Joe Jonas filed for divorce, TMZ reported that there was a last straw for the music star.

Citing sources who have direct contact with Joe, TMZ reported that the singer "had access to a Ring cam that he said captured Sophie [Turner] saying and/or doing something that made him realize the marriage was over," the webloid reported, calling the Ring incident the "lynchpin to divorce."

On Sept. 27, Us Weekly shed more light on the Ring camera incident, reported that, according to a source, the camera captured Sophie saying what us called "some not-so-nice things" about Joe to a friend. "It wasn't anything more than that," the source added, "but that was the final straw."

Their second daughter's name is finally revealed

New custody filings made in the wake of Sophie Turner's lawsuit have since revealed something the public has wanted to know for more than a year: What did she and Joe Jonas name their second child, who was born in the summer of 2022?

Court documents obtained by Page Six on Sept. 26 had the answer: Their now 1-year-old daughter's name is Delphine. The exes also share 3-year-old daughter Willa.

Why he had the kids

In Joe Jonas's divorce docs, it stated that the daughters he shares with Sophie Turner had been "residing with their father" in Miami and other cities around the country, confirming reports that they were on tour with him. Joe was also seen having breakfast with them at Sweet Butter Kitchen in Los Angeles's Sherman Oaks suburb the morning after his divorce filing. It led some people to question why they hadn't also been with their mother in recent days.

According to a Sept. 7 report from People magazine, the girls were with their dad because their mother was working — reports noted she'd been shooting the upcoming TV series "Joan" in the U.K. — a source close to the former couple told the magazine, adding that the children have "more support" living with the singer in this moment.

Sophie, the source explained, "has been shooting which is why the kids have been with Joe. It's just been easier because she's been working for the kids to be with him because there's some more support at home and on the road with his family. It's something they both agreed was best."

Once Sophie finished filming, she headed to New York City where she established a temporary residence at one of pal Taylor Swift's homes and has since been sharing custody of her girls with Joe.

The divorce filing

On Sept. 5, Today.com broke the news that Joe Jonas had filed for divorce in Florida's Miami Dade County. The petition says "the marriage between the parties is irretrievably broken."

Joe, who hired golf icon Tiger Woods' former divorce attorney, Tom Sasser, indicated that he and Sophie Turner have a prenuptial agreement, which should cover their division of assets. The Blast confirmed the former couple has an "ironclad" prenup: Joe will keep his music royalties from his work with both the Jonas Brothers and his other band, DNCE. Sophie keeps her residuals from "Game of Thrones" and her other acting projects. Any property acquired before the marriage stays with its original owner, though they'll have to split the value of their marital home.

But custody of their daughters — Willa was born in 2020, and a second girl, whose name has not been shared publicly, was born in 2022 — as well as where the girls will live will be determined by the court. According to TMZ, Joe is asking for joint custody and wants a judge to establish a parenting plan for him and Sophie that allows for "frequent and continuing contact with both parties." Joe also noted in his docs that the kids have been residing with him as well as "other locations throughout the United States," confirming recent reports that he's had them on tour with him.

TMZ reported that Joe touched on child support in his divorce docs, noting that he and Sophie can both afford to support their girls and should both be required to do so.

Their joint statement

On Sept. 6, Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner shared a joint statement on Instagram confirming their split.

"Statement from the two of us: After four wonderful years of marriage we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage," they wrote.

"There are many speculative narratives as to why, but truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children."

How they met

Sophie Turner was not a fan of Joe Jonas's band when they met in 2016. "There was this band in the U.K. called Busted. They had a hit called 'Year 3000.' It was amazing, and [my friends and I] were huge Busted fans. Then the Jonas Brothers covered the song and made it massive. And Busted broke up. We thought it was all the Jonas Brothers' fault. So we hated them," the actress told ELLE magazine in 2020.

Then in 2016, a producer on one of her films who'd once lived next door to the JoBros told her, "You should meet Joe Jonas. I feel like you would really get along with this guy." A bit later, "I went to a meeting, and Joe's agent was in the room. And he was like, 'You remind me of one of my clients. I bet you two would really hit it off,'" she recalled.

Later in 2016, Sophie told ELLE, Joe DM'd her on Instagram out of the blue — he was going to be in Britain and wanted to meet up. "When I told my friends, they were like, 'That's hilarious. You have to do it! And you have to text us everything he says,'" she said. "I expected him to show up with security and everything. I thought, 'He's gonna be such a d***,'" she told ELLE. "I brought all my guy friends to come with me to meet him, because in the back of my mind I still worried that he could be a catfish — or I don't know what. I just wanted my guy friends with me. I had my rugby boys. I was safe."

They met at a bar in London's Camden area and Joe didn't bring security — just a friend — "and they drank just as hard as the rest of us," Sophie recalled. "I remember the two of us spending only a couple of minutes on the dance floor, and then we just found a space far in the corner and we just talked. We talked for hours and hours and hours. And I was, like, not bored. It wasn't contrived. It wasn't small talk — it was just so easy. And soon we were, like, inseparable. I went on tour with him."

Joe proposed on their one-year anniversary in 2017 and they wed — twice — in 2019. (More on that next!)

They had two weddings

After attending the Billboard Music Awards at Vegas's MGM Grand Garden Arena in May 2019, Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner headed to the nearby Chapel L'Amour inside the Little White Wedding Chapel and exchanged vows in front of an Elvis impersonator. Joe's bandmate brothers, Nick Jonas and Kevin Jonas, were there, and country duo Dan + Shay performed as Sophie walked down the aisle while DJ-producer Diplo livestreamed the nuptials on Instagram.

Joe and Sophie had a second, more elegant wedding ceremony at Chateau de Tourreau in France nearly two months later in June 2019.

Donald Trump, the 45th president of the United States, has died… or so claimed a message shared by the X account belonging to one of his children, Donald Trump Jr.

Of course, as the former POTUS would say, "That's fake news!"

It turns out that Don Jr.'s social media account was hacked. The hackers had a field day with his account on X, formerly Twitter, for about 20 minutes on Sept. 20, sharing bizarre messages on a slew of topics from North Korea and a notorious crypto personality to President Joe Biden and Jeffrey Epstein.

X was quickly alerted to the hack and took down the messages, and Don Jr. reacted on Sept. 22, tweeting, "I'M BACK… Hunter Biden must have hacked my account!!!"

"I'm sad to announce, my father Donald Trump has passed away. I will be running for president in 2024," hackers wrote on Donald Trump Jr.'s X account on Sept. 20. As if that weren't enough, the hackers reposted the message from Don Jr.'s account to really drive home the point.

Donald Trump is very much alive, and Don Jr. will not be running for president next year.

Things got graphic and profane when hackers took aim at President Joe Biden on Donald Trump Jr.'s X account on Sept. 20: "F*** Joe Biden Stupid A** N****," a message read.

"Richard Heart is innocent, when I become president I'm going to burn the SEC," wrote hackers who took over Donald Trump Jr.'s X account on Sept. 20.

Who is Richard Heart? He founded the crypto projects Hex, PulseChain and PulseX. In July, the Securities and Exchange Commission filed a lawsuit against him claiming that he defrauded investors and used "at least" $12 million in investor funds to purchase luxury goods.

Another message attributed to hackers on Donald Trump Jr.'s X account on Sept. 20 read, "Some interesting messages with Jeffrey Epstein…"

Jeffrey Epstein died on Aug. 10, 2019, so those messages would be quite the revelation.

The hackers who took over Donald Trump Jr.'s X account on Sept. 20 decided to dip their toes into foreign policy, writing, "This just in: North Korea is about to get smoked."

There was no indication that the United States or any other country attacked North Korea or was gearing up to attack North Korea in the near future.

Oscar winner hospitalized after suffering multiple fractures in bathroom fall: How she's doing now

Celebrated actress Sophia Loren was treated in a Swiss hospital after falling down and suffering several bone fractures including to her femur and hip.

The 89-year-old Italian star fell in the bathroom of her home in Geneva, Switzerland, and required emergency surgery to repair the damage to her bones, her rep told People magazine in late September. News of the incident was first reported on the Instagram page belonging to the Oscar winner's namesake restaurant chain.

Since then, her manager has shared an update on the screen siren's injuries and recovery.

On Sept. 24, Sophia Loren Restaurant wrote on Instagram (in Italian, as translated to English), "A fall at her home in Geneva today caused Ms. Loren hip fractures. Operated with a positive outcome, she will now have to observe a short period of recovery and follow a road to rehabilitation. Thankfully everything worked out for the best and the Lady will be back with us very soon."

Sophia's two adult sons were by her side at the hospital.

After undergoing surgery to repair multiple fractures following a Sept. 24 fall at her home in Switzerland, Sophia Loren has begun to heal.

"Everything [is] going well," the star's manager, Carlo Giusti, told People magazine nearly two weeks later on Oct. 5, noting that the surgery went "extremely well" and that Sophia was "slowly recovering."

However, he added, "At least a few months of rehabilitation are needed."

He confirmed that the 89-year-old Oscar winner's sons, Carlo Ponti Jr., 54, and Edoardo Ponti, 50, have been with her in Switzerland as she recovers from her femur and hip fractures.

The fall has affected Sophia Loren's schedule and her restaurants. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the iconic actress was due to open a Sophia Loren Restaurant in the Italian city of Bari on Sept. 26 — the fourth bearing her name.

In addition, the 89-year-old actress was set to receive honorary citizenship from Bari. In light of the fall and subsequent surgery, her engagements have been canceled.

Sophia Loren won the Academy Award for Best Actress in 1961 for "Two Women." At the time, she was first actor to win an Oscar for a non-English-language performance. She was again honored by the Academy in 1991 when she won an honorary Oscar. The "Marriage Italian Style" star has also won a Grammy and a Golden Globe.

When she received her honorary Oscar, the Academy called her "one of the greatest treasures of world cinema, who, in a career rich with memorable performances, has added permanent luster to our art form."

The Hollywood Reporter notes Sophia Loren last appeared in public at the Armani fashion show during the 80th Venice Film Festival on Sept. 2.

The actress, who turned 89 on Sept. 20 — just a few days before her fall — spoke to AARP in late 2020 about staying young.

"Sometimes when I say I'm 86, I don't believe it. I feel 20!" she said. "When I look in the mirror, I cheer for myself. I don't ask, 'Are you great?' or 'Are you beautiful?' No! It's how I feel inside, how secure I am, how happy I am. That's what matters."

While fighting her ex over custody of their child, Blac Chyna is being forced to sell off many of her personal belongings to keep afloat, she says in court documents. The former reality TV star detailed how she's hawking designer purses, clothes and shoes through an online consignment store.

Chyna, who now goes by her legal name — Angela White — is doing rather well selling her belongings, but she knows it's a short-term plan, as she'll eventually run out of things to peddle.

Angela White — who's better known as Blac Chyna — has made about $187,000 from selling off her belongings so far this year, she said in court documents obtained by TMZ on Oct. 2. This seems to be the one-time "Rob & Chyna" star's only source of income at the moment since, according to the webloid's report, sales from her cosmetics line have "plummeted."

The "Special Forces: World's Toughest Test" star recently quit OnlyFans, which had brought in some nice income.

"I will never go back on OnlyFans," she said of the controversial subscription-based website.

While speaking with "Entertainment Tonight," she explained, "As fast as [the money] comes, as fast it goes. And also, too, it comes with a lot of negativity, you know? My kids are getting older, they see all these things, and I'm just not going out like that."

While she says in court documents that she's selling her stuff to make ends meet, Blac Chyna — who now goes by her real name, Angela White — insisted otherwise in media interviews. In a chat with "Entertainment Tonight," she said she's ridding herself of bad "energy" by selling some of her old things.

"I just kind of wanted a fresh start, and I don't think nothing's wrong with selling your old stuff," she said. "I feel like, at this point in my life, I don't really value materialistic things. Yeah, it looks nice, but it's like, why go out and grind and hustle for this money to go and spend it on something that could potentially just disappear?"

The idea behind the sales, she argues, is to be less "flashy."

"You might leave it somewhere, somebody could rob you, steal from you and all of that. That's why I kind of like also stepped away from wearing a lot of flashy jewelry," she said. "I feel like I'm a target already, so why even bring more attention to myself?"

Blac Chyna shares a 10-year-old son, King, with rapper Tyga and a 6-year-old daughter, Dream, with former reality star Rob Kardashian. She is currently fighting the music star for legal and physical custody of their son.

"The most important thing for me right now is battling my custody case to get my son, King," Chyna told "Entertainment Tonight." "Once that's out the way, I feel like I can go on to the next thing, but that right now is my main priority. My kids are my main priority … [and] I'm not gonna give up — at all. Moms don't give up on their kids."

She's asking for $125,000 from Tyga to cover her legal and accounting fees.

As of now, Chyna gets about 24 hours a week with King, who spends most his time with Tyga. She alleged in court documents that her ex "began to keep King during my weekends, with no communication, having no regard for my parenting time." She alleged that she doesn't know where King lives or what school he's even attending.

Tyga's camp told TMZ that Chyna knows exactly where King lives and insisted that she can call her son whenever she wants: He has a cell phone and she has the number. Tyga also supposedly pays for King's private school tuition, medical bills and most everyday living expenses.

Last year, Blac Chyna — who now goes by Angela White — said she had to sell three of her cars because she was getting "no support." She also referred to herself as a single mother and said it was "crazy" that she doesn't get child support from the fathers of her children.

It didn't take long for both of her exes to publicly blast her.

"I pay 40K a year for my son's school and he lives with me [Monday through Saturday]. Why would I pay child support lol," Tyga said at the time.

Rob Kardashian, who shares daughter Dream with Chyna, commented, "I pay 37K a year for my daughter's school. I handle every single medical expense. I pay for all her extracurricular activities. I have my daughter from Tuesday-Saturday. Why would I pay child support lol."

He's back

In his first appearance at a Hollywood event in more than five years, Daniel Day-Lewis looked different.

The three-time Oscar winner cut off his long hair and wore a double-denim look as he joined wife Rebecca Miller at an Oct. 3 New York screening of "She Came to Me" — a film she wrote and directed.

Daniel famously announcing his retirement in 2017 and largely retreated from the limelight.

You are now free to move about the country… and other countries! For the first time in years, rapper 21 Savage is able to legally leave the United States and travel aboard. Back in 2019, the Grammy-winning rapper was taken into ICE custody after being busted for living in the United States illegally on an expired visa. He was also in possession of a gun during the arrest. At the time, an ICE spokesman said the United Kingdom-born music star came to the States in 2005 and simply never left.

As his work visa expired in 2006, he'd actually been illegally living in the States for 13 years. On Oct. 6, TMZ reported that Savage got a green card and is planning to join Drake in Canada for several concerts. But that night, the rapper was a no show. The outlet reported that he was denied entry to Canada by Canadian officials at the last moment, and Lil Baby took his place on stage. But it seems all of his immigration troubles were finally sorted by Oct. 7, when he finally took the stage with Drake in Toronto.

Aggressive intervention

Chris Hemsworth opened up in a new interview with Men's Health about what he's doing to lower his chances of developing Alzheimer's disease after learning on the 2022 National Geographic and Disney+ docuseries "Limitless with Chris Hemsworth" that he has two copies of the gene APOE e4, which makes his risk of developing the brain disorder eight to ten times higher than someone without the genes.

"Now, I'm incorporating more solitude into my life," said in the interview released Oct. 3. "I've always been pretty consistent with my exercise commitments, but lately I've really felt the importance of taking time for yourself without any outside voice or stimulation and making time for stillness."

He's also doing more mindfulness work. "I do a lot of meditation and breath work mostly during sauna and ice bath routines," he said.

The "Thor" franchise star has also prioritized getting more sleep." Try to stay off screens an hour before bed and read most nights definitely helps. In addition focusing on not being attached to every thought and be the observer to the noise when possible, just stepping back from the internal chatter," he added.

He's also shifted the way he works out over the last year. "I'm lifting [weights] less frequently than I was and I'm incorporating more cardio and endurance workouts," he said.

Jailbird

Former "Home Improvement" actor Zachery Ty Bryan, who's had a litany of arrests over the past three years, was recently behind bars again.

While his previous arrests and detainments have allegedly involved violence, that wasn't the case this time, despite how things might seem. In late September, Zachery was booked on two counts of fourth-degree felony assault, but the charges are apparently not new and the arrest was legitimate but also happened because of a technicality: He violated his release agreement in a domestic violence case.

TMZ reported that the troubled actor failed to charge his ankle monitor by mistake. (He's required to wear the monitor per the terms of his bond release from a July arrest.) Because of this, the star was taken into custody during a pre-trial court office appearance. The arrest didn't involve a judge. He was released from jail on Oct. 1.

Godly gal

Celebrity tattoo artist Kat Von D has disavowed witchcraft and is now devoting her life to Jesus.

On Oct. 3, the "LA Ink" alum revealed on Instagram that she recently got baptized — she even sharing a video of the religious ceremony. "Katherine von Drachenberg, upon your profession of the Lord Jesus Christ, and in obedience to his divine command, I baptize you, my sister, in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit," the pastor says in the video before dunking Kat in holy water.

The baptism comes a little over a year after Kat denounced witchcraft, which she previously practiced. The reality TV tattoo artist-turned-makeup mogul said she's "always found beauty in the macabre" but said she no longer has a relationship with this content.

Back on

Jimmie Allen and Alexis Gale have not only welcomed their third child together — they've decided to give their tortured relationship another go.

The reconciliation is stunning given the hell their relationship has been through this year. Back in April, the country singer and his wife of three years announced their separation. In the days that followed, it was revealed that he'd cheated on her with multiple women.

On top of that, Jimmie's former day-to-day manager filed a civil lawsuit against him for sexual battery, assault, false imprisonment, sex trafficking and emotional distress that allegedly occurred between 2020 and 2022. He's denied the claims, insisting it was consensual. He's countersued her as well as a second women who in June filed a lawsuit against Jimmie alleging he sexually assaulted her in 2022.

In May, after both he and his then-pregnant wife, a nurse, filed for divorce, the "Best Shot" singer publicly apologized to Alexis "for humiliating her with my affair. I'm embarrassed that my choices have brought shame on her. That's something that she did not deserve at all."

The mea culpa might have worked. On Oct. 4, Jimmie's rep told People magazine the divorce "was never fully seen through legally." The rep added, "They decided to work on things together and are still together."

"Beverly Hills, 90210" star Brian Austin Green opened up about his openly gay eldest child, actor Kassius Marcil-Green, on an October podcast.

"I would get into these conservations with Kash where it was like I really wanted to understand the things that seemed so different to me at first," Brian explained of the son he shares with "General Hospital" alum Vanessa Marcil. "And then you realize, 'Oh, this isn't different at all.' It's just your choice of partner. It doesn't affect me at all."

Brian, whose comments came on the "Frosted Tips with Lance Bass" podcast, has long been supportive of his son's sexuality. He added, "And that's the thing I'm always trying to beat into people now — it does not affect you. Why do you care so much? And why are you trying to somehow bully your feelings and your opinion into something that literally does not affect you at all?"

Angela White — who's better known as Blac Chyna — is being forced to sell off many of her personal belongings to keep afloat, she says in court documents.

The former reality TV star revealed that she's made about $187,000 from selling off designer purses, clothes and shoes through an online consignment store. This seems to be the "Rob & Chyna" alum's only source of income at the moment since, according to a report from TMZ, sales from her cosmetics line have "plummeted."

In addition, the "Special Forces: World's Toughest Test" star recently quit OnlyFans, which seemed to bring in substantial income. "I will never go back on OnlyFans," she said of the controversial subscription-based website.

While speaking with "Entertainment Tonight," the star — who shares children with Rob Kardashian as well as rapper Tyga — explained, "As fast as [the money] comes, as fast it goes. And also, too, it comes with a lot of negativity, you know? My kids are getting older, they see all these things, and I'm just not going out like that."

Still healing

It's been three years since Melissa Etheridge lost her son to his opioid addiction, and she's still trying to get right.

"It's healing every day," she told Page Six on Oct. 1 of talking about her son in her new one-woman show "My Window" on Broadway. In it, she opens up about her life, including her son's death. Speaking about his untimely passing helps. "Every night I do this, I heal a little bit more because I'm talking about how my son would want me happy and I can believe that every night," she said.

In offering advice to other parents who've lost children, she said, "Guilt and shame are nothing to hold on to. They have no place in your life. Your happiness matters, your health matters. So let that go and continue living your life."

TV star reveals he's never eaten a vegetable in his life, more stars with odd eating habits

Al Michaels, the legendary sportscaster who famously exclaimed "Do you believe in miracles!" when the United States hockey team upset the Soviet Union in the 1980 Olympics, isn't your garden-variety person. In fact, gardens aren't his thing at all. In a new interview, the iconic sports announcer confirmed a long-running rumor: he's never eaten a vegetable in his life.

Al told CNN's Chris Wallace that he never ate them as a child, and that's continued.

"I guess what I've proven, Chris, is that man does not need vegetables to survive," he said.

The CNN host then asked if it was "possible" that Al might actually enjoy a "non-objectionable vegetable" like a carrot.

"Oh, please," Al, 78, replied. "No, that's an objectionable vegetable. I look at it. I just don't even like the look of it, and I surmise what it might taste like just in terms of the texture of it. It just doesn't look like something that would go down well."

Al is hardly the only big name with quirky dietary habits.

Mmmmm, clay! After studying the lives of indigenous people, Shailene Woodley realized that they ate clay. If it was good enough for them, it's good enough for the actress. "Clay is one of the best things you can put in your body," she told Into the Gloss in 2014. "I've discovered that clay is great for you because your body doesn't absorb it, and it apparently provides a negative charge, so it bonds to negative isotopes. And, this is crazy: it also helps clean heavy metals out of your body."

Nicolas Cage has his quirks, and one of them revolves around his diet. The "Leaving Las Vegas" actor once said he needs to know the mating rituals of animals before he can eat them.

"I love all animals. I have a fascination with fish, birds, whales — sentient life — insects, reptiles," he told The Sun in 2010. "I actually choose the way I eat according to the way animals have sex. I think fish are very dignified with sex. So are birds. But pigs, not so much. So I don't eat pig meat or things like that. I eat fish and fowl."

In 2020, Gene Simmons got a cold reaction from social media after revealing that he adds ice cubes to his cereal. The KISS rocker posted a photo of his breakfast to Twitter, and it clearly showed ice cubes floating in the bowl of milk, adjacent to what appeared to be Frosted Mini Wheats mixed with Oreo O's. "Anyone else put ice cubes in their cereal?," Gene asked. No, Gene, no. After Twitter mocked Gene, his son Nick commented, "30 years. 30 years watching him do this. This is my life."

So, why does Gene do this breakfast faux pas? He said he hates warm milk.

There is an old Seinfeld episode in which Kramer makes his meals while showering. Jessica Biel can relate. In 2016, the "Candy" actress posted an Instagram image that seemed to show her eating while showering. "Yes. I eat in the shower. I admit it. Chicken apple sausage and espresso. Try it. I dare you," she wrote in the caption of the since-deleted pic.

The way Jessica sees it, she's multitasking. "This is just mom life," she told Jimmy Fallon. "I don't know if anybody else does this. I do not have time. I don't have time for anything. I'm feeding him in the morning, trying to get ready and I realize I haven't eaten, I just take it into the shower … Sometimes it's a huge success, sometimes it's a huge failure."

Variety is overrated for Victoria Beckham, who has eaten the same thing almost every day for decades. While on the River Café Table 4 podcast, David Beckham, spoke of his wife's diet and how it relates to his.

"I get quite emotional about food and wine. When I'm eating something great, I want everyone to try it," he said. "Unfortunately, I'm married to someone who has eaten the same thing for the last 25 years. Since I've met Victoria, she only eats grilled fish [and] steamed vegetables. She'll very rarely deviate away from there."

Kourtney Kardashian takes a very long time to eat a Kit Kat — it's actually a six-step process. In 2016, the reality TV star shared a video of the painstaking procedure. First, she separates the candy bar's fingers into a single bar. Second, she bites the chocolate off each end of the single, but not far enough to bite the wafer portion. Third, she eats the chocolate off the sides. Fourth, she pulls off the top layer of the three-piece wafer and eats that. Fifth, she separates the bottom layer of the wafer and eats that. Finally, she eats the middle portion of the wafer.

"This tastes so much better. Like, I would never even dream to eat a Kit Kat and just, like, bite into it," she said. "I guarantee if you do it once, you will never eat a Kit Kat any other way."

Not to be all corny, but Michael Buble had some explaining to do in regard to his corn-on-the-cob eating method. A picture of the singer showed him at Disneyland eating the cob from the top and shoving it in his mouth — akin to the way normal people eat ice cream in a cone. Of course, 99.99% of humans tilt corn on its side and eat it kernel by kernel. Not Michael. Amid the food shaming, the good-natured crooner hilariously defended himself on Twitter. "This is vegetable harassment !!! What I do with my Cobb is nobody's business," he penned.

In 2019, Adrienne Bailon-Houghton explained that she adds pink lemonade to her tuna salad mixture for an added boost. "I've been told that I make the most incredible tuna fish salad. Like you guys don't even understand … My tuna fish does not taste fishy, number one, and number two, it's got mad flavor," the "Cheetah Girls" star said on the "All Things Adrienne" YouTube series. "No one can tell me that doesn't taste bomb!"

Gwyneth Paltrow has a weird diet? Ya don't say! In March 2023, the "Iron Man" star caused a frenzy after detailing her liquid-heavy "wellness routine." While on the "Art of Being Well" podcast, the "Iron Man" actress said she fasts intermittently and drinks coffee and bone broth for meals. "I really like soup for lunch. I have bone broth for lunch a lot of the days," she said. For dinner, she eats paleo, a vegetable-inspired lifestyle. "It's really important for me to support my detox," she said. Many on social media dubbed it a "starvation diet."

Controversy-sparking country music star reveals more on why she's leaving the genre behind: 'I don't want to say goodbye'

Maren Morris is leaving the country.

In September, the Grammy winner revealed that she's exiting the country music genre. And in October, she shared more about her decision.

On The New York Times' "Popcast" podcast episode that debuted on Oct. 4, the star — who's asked for her work not to be considered at country music award shows anymore — explained, "I love living in Nashville, I have my family. There's a reason why people come there from L.A. and New York to write with us. It's because we have amazing songwriters there. That's not gonna change."

However, she continued — as reported by Page Six — "I couldn't do this circus anymore — feeling like l have to absorb and explain people's bad behaviors and laugh it off. I just couldn't do that after 2020 particularly. I've changed. A lot of things changed about me that year."

Maren said she realized she was in a "toxic" environment after getting backlash over songs like "My Church" and "80 Mercedes" off her 2016 debut album.

"Ironically, it was like, 'She's not country. Look at the way she dresses. Get the hell out of here. You don't belong here. This is not, like, Dolly [Parton],'" she said, adding, "I don't want to say goodbye, but I really cannot participate in the really toxic arms of this institution anymore."

"Come with me if you please. Everyone's welcomed," she added.

On Sept. 15, Maren Morris dropped two new songs that she hopes will be the beginning of her new musical path that's taking her away from the country music genre.

On "Get the Hell Out of Here," she seems to refer to leaving the genre: "I do the best I can / But the more I hang around here, the less I give a damn / So to all the doubts and demons that I held so dear / Go on, get the hell out of here," she sings in the chorus.

Of country music, she told the Los Angeles Times in September, "I thought I'd like to burn it to the ground and start over. But it's burning itself down without my help."

The singer's exit from the genre comes after she scored multiple country music hits and earned wide critical acclaim. She also engaged in several public feuds with other notable names in country music — particularly over politics and LGBTQ+ rights.

Country music is no longer limited to just country radio. In fact, you can often hear the likes of Morgan Wallen and Luke Combs on pop music channels these days. Maren Morris knows what that's like: Her hit "The Bones" crossed genres.

"I'd say, sure, congratulations on crossing over onto the big all-genre chart. But the stories going on within country music right now, I've tried to avoid a lot of it at all costs. I feel very, very distanced from it," she told the Los Angeles Times of country music's mainstream success.

Maren Morris became a bit of an outlier in country music after she voiced her progressive political leanings.

"I just wrote songs about real life through a lens of deep respect for my country heroes. But the further you get into the country music business, that's when you start to see the cracks," she told the Los Angeles Times. "And once you see it, you can't un-see it. So you start doing everything you can with the little power you have to make things better. If you truly love this type of music and you start to see problems arise, it needs to be criticized. Anything this popular should be scrutinized if we want to see progress."

The country music world tends to lean conservative. Maren doesn't.

"After the Trump years, people's biases were on full display," she explains. "It just revealed who people really were and that they were proud to be misogynistic and racist and homophobic and transphobic. All these things were being celebrated, and it was weirdly dovetailing with this hyper-masculine branch of country music. I call it butt rock."

In 2022, Maren Morris had a public feud with country music star Jason Aldean's wife, Brittany Kerr, after Brittany shared a transphobic Instagram post: "I'd really like to thank my parents for not changing my gender when I went through my tomboy phase. I love this girly life," Brittany captioned a video of herself getting glammed up.

"It's so easy to, like, not be a scumbag human? Sell your clip-ins and zip it, Insurrection Barbie," Maren tweeted in response to Brittany, who promptly fired back, "Karen Morris. Thanks for calling me Barbie."

Amid the back-and-forth, Maren also feuded with former Fox News personality Tucker Carlson, who called her a "lunatic."

Maren Morris said she finds it troubling that country music songs get popular due to controversy and not due to their merits. Jason Aldean's song "Try That in a Small Town," for example, shot up to No. 1 after it sparked controversy with its music video. Morgan Wallen, meanwhile, saw massive success following his racism scandal.

"People are streaming these songs out of spite. It's not out of true joy or love of the music," Maren claimed. "It's to 'own the libs.' And that's so not what music is intended for. Music is supposed to be the voice of the oppressed — the actual oppressed. And now it's being used as this really toxic weapon in culture wars."

As part of her new sound, Maren Morris is working with producer Jack Antonoff, who's produced many of Taylor Swift's biggest hits.

Maren says of the album she's currently writing, "There's a lot of things going on musically in it — quirky jam-band moments to, like, prog rock. It's so fun, and I feel like my old self back in this space of writing songs I love with people I love."

Estranged husband of troubled pop star slams Trump Jr. and questions his 'intelligence' for 'bullying' ex

Sam Asghari is ripping Donald Trump Jr. and accusing him of "bullying" after the former First Son mocked Britney Spears on Instagram. The bizarre feud began on Oct. 1 after Don juxtaposed a decades-old picture of the pop star as a teenager against a screenshot from a recent video of her dancing with knives. He then made her the butt of the joke and went down a political road by using the images to compare his father's presidential term to that of Joe Biden's.

Upon seeing this, Britney's ex had some things to say to the eldest child of Donald Trump.

Donald Trump Jr. wasn't finished mocking Britney Spears on Instagram. On Oct. 4, he again juxtaposed a decades-old picture of Britney as a teenager against an image of her dancing with knives, albeit different images than he previously used. In this instance, he took a shot at newspapers via a political lens.

Sam Asghari had seen enough, taking to his Instagram Story to let Don have a piece of his mind. In doing so, he shaded Don Jr.'s brain, too.

"Hey, little Trump. You won't stop bullying so I'm here to tell you that being a bully doesn't make you cool nor [does] it makes you friends – and it certainly doesn't require intelligence to be one," Sam said.

The Iranian-born actor, who filed to end his one-year marriage to Britney in August, also took a veiled shot at Don Jr.'s girlfriend…

While ripping Donald Trump Jr. himself, Sam Asghari took aim at Kimberly Guilfoyle, the fiancee of the former First Son. During the 2020 Republican National Convention, the former Fox News anchor became the subject of memes after screaming "the best is yet to come" to end her speech.

Referring to that moment, Sam told Don Jr., "I can be a bully, too. I can say 'The best is yet to come.' But I won't do that. I won't do that. Because it's just mean being a bully, and like I said it doesn't make you cool. So, don't be a bully Jr. Don't be one."

While a smattering of Donald Trump Jr.'s followers laughed, a majority of them felt the jabs at Britney Spears were unnecessary.

"This is disgusting and beyond immature. Your privilege and snobbery on full display…once again," one person said. Another said, "Wtf. This post is not only trash, but it's also incredibly mean." Don Jr. was accused of being childish and "not funny."

"Why bring Brittany [sic] into this Donald. C'mon. You can do better. This poor girl is suffering. Memes are weak using other people pain. Sad," one person said. A Trump supporter even penned, "That is mean. Brittany had been so taken advantage of. I love Donald Trump, but take this down."

In addition to his Instagram Story video, Sam Asghari also wrote, "It's not okay to be a bully @donaldjtrumpjr."

Britney Spears has not responded to Donald Trump Jr. memes.

The videos of her dancing with knives have caused concern and even prompted a visit from police.

"Somebody close to Britney had seen the video posted on social media, where she's dancing and twirling with knives in her hands and they were really concerned for her mental well-being," Captain Dean Worthy of the Ventura County Sheriff's Office told Us Weekly on September 28. Although police did not meet with Britney face to face, they determined she was not harming herself or others and left.

Britney, for what it's worth, said the knives were "fake" and from a prop shop.

Celebrity tattoo artist Kat Von D is devoting her life to Jesus.

The former TV star revealed on Instagram that she recently got baptized. On Oct. 3, the "LA Ink" alum shared a video of her baptism, which was witnessed by friends and her rocker husband, Leafar Seyer, who also goes by the name of his music group, Prayers.

"Katherine von Drachenberg, upon your profession of the Lord Jesus Christ, and in obedience to his divine command, I baptize you, my sister, in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit," the pastor says in the video before dunking Kat in holy water.

The religious ceremony is probably something Kat wouldn't have envisioned just a few years ago.

The baptism comes a little over a year after Kat Von D denounced witchcraft, which she previously practiced.

"I don't know if any of you have been going through changes in your lives right now, but in the last few years I've come to some pretty meaningful realizations — many of them revolving around the fact that I got a lot of things wrong in my past," she wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of books — most of them about witchcraft — that she was getting rid of. "Today, I went through my entire library, and threw out books that just don't align with who I am and who I want to be."

The reality TV tattoo artist-turned-makeup mogul said she's "always found beauty in the macabre" but said she no longer had a "relationship" with this content.

"And the truth is, I just don't want to invite any of these things into our family's lives, even if it comes disguised in beautiful covers, collecting dust on my shelves," she said. "In no way is this post designed to put anyone down if you're into this stuff, because I think we are all on our own journey, and I love everyone regardless of where they might be at. But right now, it's never been more clear to me that there is a spiritual battle taking place, and I want to surround myself and my family with love and light."

Kat ended her message by sharing her hope that her followers were also "making meaningful changes" in their lives.

After Kat Von D was baptized, her husband, Prayers, publicly praised his wife.

"I love you so much my beautiful wife, you continue to inspire me every day. I want to marry you over and over again!" he commented on her Instagram post.

The "LA Ink" star married her musician hubby in 2018. "Today, I married my soul's mate, my mind's twin, my best friend," she captioned a photo of their wedding bands on their inked-up hands, adding in Spanish, "Together in life and in death."

Kat Von D has made several major changes in her life over the past five years. Not only has she married, welcomed a child, covered up many of her tattoos and gotten baptized, but she also moved from Los Angeles to a remote town in Indiana. At the time of the move in 2020, the reality TV star said she was leaving the Golden State due to "all that has been taking place in California, with terrible policies, tyrannical government overreach, ridiculous taxing."

"Amongst so many more corruption, we just felt the need to plant roots in a small town where there is nature, where my son can be free to play, and where we can eventually retire one day," she explained at the time.

In March 2023, Kat Von D sold her famous Los Angeles house. The picture-perfect home, which was featured in 2003's "Cheaper by the Dozen," sold for $7.75 million. The massive 12,565-square-foot property was actually built in the 1890s and moved to its current location in Los Angeles in 1915.

The home had been on the market for over a year before new owners took over.

Just one month after the former reality TV star listed the home, it was burglarized while she and her son, then 3, slept inside.

In February 2022, TMZ reported that strange sounds woke Kat at 10:15 p.m. She then saw a "beam of light moving about the house." Kat grabbed her son, got out of the home and called 911. When police arrived, they found a man just wandering around the house. He reportedly told police he was buying the house and needed to use the restroom. He was not the buyer. The man who eventually bought the home is the co-owner of the famed Hollywood Forever Cemetery.

Grimes is taking legal action against Elon Musk after a scuffle on his X platform in which she demanded Elon allow her to "see my son or plz speak to my lawyer." On Sept. 29, the Canadian singer filed a "petition to establish parental relationship," according to court documents viewed by the San Francisco Standard. The filing is often used to legally identify a child's parents when they are unmarried. "Most of the time, the driving force is that they need custody orders or child support, but the petition is to establish parentage of the child," family attorney Deborah Dubroff told the outlet, which reported that no requests for child support or custody rights had been filed as of Monday, Oct. 2.

Grimes, whose real name is Claire Bouchon, shares three children with the billionaire tech mogul: sons X Æ A-Xii and Tau Techno Mechanicus and daughter Exa Dark Sideræl Musk. She and Elon began dating in 2018 and reportedly split in 2021, never having married. Elon, who's been divorced three times, is also the father of eight other children. Two of those kids are twins Azure and Strider, who Elon welcomed in 2021 with Shivon Zilis. A hint that a custody issue may have been brewing between Elon and Grimes surfaced after his biographer, Walter Isaacson, shared pics on X of Elon with Shivon and their twins.

"Tell Shivon to unblock me and tell Elon to let me see my son or plz respond to my lawyer," Grimes wrote in a since-deleted comment on the post, per the SF Standard. "I have never even been allowed to see a photo of these children until this moment, despite the situation utterly ripping my family apart." After deleting her reply, the singer posted a message of her own saying she and Shivon had "finally" spoken. "This wasn't her fault, plz don't be angry at her!" Grimes wrote, in part. "We respect each other a lot and we're excited to become friends and have the kids grow up together."

Dating debt

As the internet continues its lovefest for the new romance between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, the NFL star is pausing to give props to two sportscasters who first encouraged Taylor to date him. Speculation about Taylor and Travis dates back to comments the Kansas City Chiefs tight-end made on his "New Heights" podcast about crushing on the 12-time Grammy winner. After hearing his sweet remarks over the summer, Fox Sports commentators Erin Andrews and Charissa Thompson encouraged the singer to "go on a date" with Travis on their "Calm Down" podcast in August.

Fast forward a couple of months and Taylor's now been spotted cheering for the football star at multiple games, cozying up to him at a post-game party and even hanging out with his mom. So when Charissa reposted a clip of her plea to Taylor on Travis' behalf on Instagram over the weekend, Travis naturally gave credit where it was due: "You two are something else!! I owe you big time!!" he wrote in the comments section.

"@killatrav we do what we can. This is what we're here for!" Charissa and Erin replied.

In the Aug. 3 podcast clip, Erin spoke directly to the singer, telling her: "Taylor, I don't know what you're doing in your life right now besides rocking the world … please try our friend Travis, he is fantastic! Take us up on this — go on a date with this guy. Do it for America." Message received!

Dognapping case victory

Lady Gaga is officially off the hook in a $2 million lawsuit filed by one of the people involved in kidnapping her French bulldogs in February 2021. On Monday, Oct. 2, a judge in Los Angeles decided the singer owes nothing to plaintiff Jennifer McBride, who sued Gaga over the reward she initially offered for the safe return of the pups, Entertainment Tonight reported. An accomplice to the high-profile dognapping, Jennifer previously "pleaded no contest to knowingly receiving stolen property" after she was charged as one of five co-defendants in the scheme to steal the expensive dogs, according to ET. The judge ruled Jennifer's role in the crime prevents her from claiming the $500,000 prize Gaga had offered for the safer return of Koji and Gustavo. In addition to the reward money, Jennifer's lawsuit sought $1.5 million in damages.

Kanye clapback?

Look out, haters. Cardi B's ready to "bring this internet … to shambles," according to a post on her Instagram Stories. "I been trying not to disappoint my fans because I've been trying to be Cardi B the professional," the rapper said in a Stories clip this week (via Complex). "But Belcalis the Demon, it be really close to come out. And I don't want that because I don't want to disappoint my fans. I'ma just say this: people love Cinderella until Cinderella get a glass house," Cardi continued before directly addressing her "haters."

"Leave me the f*** alone because I come with receipts. … Years-old receipts," she said. "I literally got real receipts with dates. So leave me alone. 'Cause y'all not gonna be ready for that. Y'all not gonna be ready for nothing."

Her message came in the wake of leaked footage of Kanye West, now Ye, griping that Cardi is "a plant by the Illuminati" who "don't write her raps," among other put-downs. Ye also claimed Cardi "replaced" her onetime rival, Nicki Minaj, suggesting "the illuminati" had a hand in Cardi's success in music. According to Complex, Cardi appeared to reply on X by posting a clip of Ye praising her in a 2022 interview. That post was later deleted.

AI deep-fakes

Tom Hanks and Gayle King are both warning fans not to trust ads they appear in, courtesy of artificial intelligence manipulation, on social media. On Monday, Oct. 2, the "CBS Mornings" anchor alerted Instagram users to a "fake video" ad for weight loss products featuring her voice and image. She said it was made with AI technology and without her knowledge. "People keep sending me this video and asking about this product and I have NOTHING to do with this company," the journalist wrote on Instagram, sharing the video in question. The clip seems to show the news star encouraging people to "follow the link" to learn about her "secret" weight loss struggle. "I've never heard of this product or used it! Please don't be fooled by these AI videos," she warned.

Two days prior, Tom Hanks shared a similar heads-up with fans on Instagram. Posting a screen shot seemingly from the ad, the actor wrote: "Beware!! There's a video out there promoting some dental plan with an AI version of me. I have nothing to do with it." A New York Times search failed to dig up the ad on social media, suggesting it's been taken down. A rep for Instagram's parent company, Meta, told the outlet it's "against our policies to run ads that use public figures in a deceptive nature in order to try to scam people out of money."

In a recent chat about the impacts of AI on Hollywood, Tom acknowledged "we saw this coming" when he utilized the technology for his 2004 film, "Polar Express." Speaking to podcast host Adam Buxton shortly before the Writer's Guild of America's 2023 strike began, in part because of AI concerns, Tom noted that "anybody can now recreate themselves at any age they are by way of A.I. or deep-fake technology." The situation presents "an artistic challenge" as well as "a legal one," he said.

Mea culpa

During The 1975's concert at the Hollywood Bowl on Monday, Oct. 2, the band's controversial frontman Matty Healy took a moment to apologize for offensive remarks he's made in the past. The singer explained that he'd "performed exaggerated versions" of himself on "other stages be in print or in one podcast… in an often misguided attempt to fulfill the kind of character role of the 21st-century rock star," Variety reported. He was likely referring to his recent appearance on "The Adam Friedland Show," where racism fueled multiple jokes, including cracks the host made at the expense of music star Ice Spice. At various points in the show, Matty could be heard laughing as Adam imitated ethnic accents while dragging Ice Spice and others.

"Because some of my actions have hurt some people, I apologize to those people, and I pledge to do better moving forward," Matty said from the stage at the Hollywood Bowl. "You see, as an artist, I want to create an environment for myself to perform where not everything that I do is taken literally." As the show came to an end, the singer reportedly said "men would rather do offensive impressions for attention than go to therapy" and read text from an ad for the online therapy company, BetterHelp.

Despite previous reports, Ed Sheeran says he's not technically building a "crypt" in his backyard. But he does have his own future gravesite back there on the grounds of his $4 million property in Suffolk, England.

"I wouldn't say it's a crypt," the Grammy winner, 32, told GQ in an interview published Wednesday, Oct. 4. "It's a hole that's dug in the ground with a bit of stone over it, so whenever the day comes and I pass away, I get to go in there." According to GQ, the burial site is in a "chapel" on the property Ed shares with his wife, Cherry Seaborn, and their young daughters. Friends have used the chapel for weddings, he said, and since a number of people he's lost were cremated, he wanted a devoted place to mourn them. The singer's daughters, Lyra and Jupiter, will also have a place they can someday go to mourn him after he dies, Ed explained.

"People think it's really weird and really morbid," he added, "but I've had friends die without wills, and no one knows what to do."

Calling Victoria's bluff

Fans on X want David Beckham to "moderate the 2024 presidential debates" after seeing him get his wife, Victoria Beckham, to tell the truth about her allegedly "working class" upbringing.

A now-viral clip from David's new Netflix series shows Victoria telling an interviewer she grew up "very working class" before David pops his head out from behind a door. "Be honest," he warns. She tells her husband she is "being honest," which only prompts another "be honest" from the former soccer star. The two go back and forth until David changes tact, asking, "What car did your dad drive you to school in?" When she tries to answer indirectly, he asks again more slowly. "OK," Victoria says, half-smiling as she gives in. "In the '80s, my dad had a Rolls-Royce."

The clip went viral on X and Tik Tok on Oct. 4, according to Insider, with one user praising David for his "masterclass" in interviewing. Others posted enthusiastically that he should take over moderating duties for the upcoming debates — ideally, one user noted, "from behind a mostly closed door, just poking his head round as and when needed."

$15k support

Taylor Swift supported her longtime pal Selena Gomez on Wednesday, Oct. 4, by contributing what became the biggest-ticket auction item at Selena's Rare Impact Fund Benefit in Los Angeles: a pair tickets to any show on Taylor's massively successful The Eras Tour. The tickets started at a bidding price of $5,000, but soon sold for $15,000, TMZ reported. The outlet noted the night's celebrity auctioneer, Martin Short, kept bidders chuckling throughout the auction.

Selena's benefit served as a fundraiser for her Rare Impact Fund, which aims to raise $100 million in 10 years to fight stigma associated with mental health issues, to increase access to mental health services and more. "This has been the culmination of a lifelong dream for me, but it has also stemmed from some of the darkest moments in my life," Selena told the audience, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

"I struggled with the world inside my head for a long time and I felt lost and I felt hopeless at times. In 2020 I received my diagnosis of bipolar disorder, and to be honest, everything quickly changed," she continued. "I actually got the knowledge and the answers I had been desperate for for so long, and understanding that obviously makes me become more aware of it, and I'm less afraid than I used to be." The "Only Murder in the Buildings" star said her diagnosis allowed her to finally "seek out the support I needed, to be myself, to find my joy again."

Fighting seizures with sleep

Two decades after a ruptured vertebral artery caused her brain to hemorrhage for nine days, nearly killing her, Sharon Stone says she's "become more comfortable with publicly saying what's really happened to me." The "Casino" star was just 43 at the time, fresh off her first Oscar nomination and she and her then-husband had recently adopted a son. But as she tells People in a new interview, she "lost everything" in the wake of her 2001 health crisis — including flexibility with things like sleep.

"For a long time I wanted to pretend that I was just fine," says Sharon, 65. "I need eight hours of uninterrupted sleep for my brain medication to work so that I don't have seizures. So I'm a disability hire, and because of that I don't get hired a lot. These are the things that I've been dealing with for the past 22 years, and I am open about that now."

The stroke and bleeding she suffered initially left Sharon struggling to see "correctly" and speak without "stuttering," she says. A divorce followed in 2004, as did memory loss. "I lost all my money. I lost custody of my child. I lost my career. I lost all those things that you feel are your real identity and your life," she recalls.

Having grown up "taking care of everybody else," Sharon adds that there was a long learning curve in coming to accept "that it was okay for me to receive care, for me to be enough as a disabled person." Now an active board member of the Barrow Neurological Foundation, Sharon says, "I feel proud of myself and proud of my accomplishments — from surviving to helping others survive."

Sexual harassment suit

Jason Derulo is accused of sexual harassment in a new lawsuit filed by a singer who says the R&B star signed her to a record label deal with the expectation she'd sleep with him in return. "I have anxiety; I'm traumatized," Emaza Gibson told NBC News in an interview published Thursday, Oct. 5. "I've dealt with inhumane work situations. … I'm at this point where I'm back to zero and I have nothing." Emaza claims her deal involved producing a mixtape in four months and an album two months later. She says once they started working together, however, Jason allegedly made unwanted sexual advances toward her, pressured her to drink large amounts of alcohol, kept drugs around the studio and acted aggressively when she was late or otherwise angered him.

Emaza also claims that despite declining Jason's alleged offers of alcohol and inappropriate requests, the singer invited her to join him for "goat skin and fish scales," which she determined involved ritualistic sex and drug use. In the lawsuit, she asserts the comment was basically an "explicit demand for sex-in-exchange-for-success." According to Emaza, the contract was terminated on Sept. 6 after an incident in which Jason "charged" at her.

The plaintiff's attorney, Ron Zambrano, told NBC Jason "not only broke promises and breached contracts, but his threats of physical harm and unconscionable sexual advances toward this young woman who is just trying to break into the industry were outrageous and illegal." Reps for Jason and Atlantic Records did not respond immediately to a request for comment, the outlet reported.

Jason later denied the claims in an Instagram video posted Thursday evening. "I wouldn't normally comment but these claims are completely false and hurtful," the singer said. "I stand against all forms of harassment and I remain supportive of anybody following their dreams. I've always strived to live my life in a positively impactful way, and that's why I sit here before you deeply offended, by these defamatory claims. God bless."

More strike fallout

The head writers of "The Drew Barrymore Show" won't be back on board when the talk show returns to the air on Oct. 16. All three of Drew's co-head writers have declined to return to their posts following backlash over her decision to resume production while Hollywood's writers (including some of the star's staff) were still embroiled in a historic strike, Variety reports. Drew eventually apologized — as members of the Writers Guild of America and their supporters protested her move outside the show's studio — and announced she'd hold of on the new season premiere until a deal was reached between the WGA and the studios. But after the strike ended on Sept. 27, a source tells Variety, Drew's head writers, Chelsea White, Cristina Kinon and Liz Koe, all rejected offers to rejoin the daytime series.

"I have no words to express my deepest apologies to anyone I have hurt and, of course, to our incredible team who works on the show and has made it what it is today," Drew wrote, in part, on Instagram on Sept. 17.

The writers' strike against the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers began on May 2, with union members calling for better pay and work standards given the advent of streaming, AI and more.

Kevin Spacey was rushed to the hospital in Uzbekistan this week after suffering what he thought was a heart attack. The "House of Cards" actor was touring the Afrasiyab Museum in the city of Samarkand when his arm went completely numb for about eight seconds. Kevin hightailed it to the hospital out of fear he was having a heart attack. A few hours later, he turned up at at the Tashkent International Film Festival.

Friends urged Kevin Spacey to seek medical treatment after his left arm went numb for eight seconds while he was addressing the crowd at the 15th Tashkent International Film Festival.

"I spent the afternoon there having a variety of tests. Staff took care of me, and even put me through an MRI," he later shared. "Everything turned out to be completely normal, and I'm grateful it's not anything more serious."

Kevin Spacey "was treated professionally by doctors and staff and found to have no problem with his heart," a source told The Sun.

After doctors gave him the all-clear, the Oscar winner headed to the Tashkent International Film Festival.

"It made me really take a moment and think about how fragile life is — for all of us — and how important it is for us all to come together, that we support each other, that we do what we can for the next generation," he told the audience at the festival.

Kevin Spacey's world was rocked in 2017 when he was accused of sexually assaulting multiple men.

The once-celebrated actor was dropped from Ridley Scott's 2017 movie "All the Money in the World" and he was axed from "House of Cards" after it was deemed that his alleged sexual misconduct was a breach of contract.

He has since been found not liable in a sexual misconduct civil trial in New York and criminal charges against him were dropped. In July 2023, a London jury also acquitted him, clearing him of nine counts of sexually assaulting multiple men.

While at the festival this week, Kevin promised a career "comeback" and said his "best roles were ahead" of him.

Although the Oscar winner's legal troubles seem to be behind him now, Kevin Spacey won't exactly be welcomed back into the Hollywood fold, insiders say.

"It's not a matter of can Kevin work again, but who will work with him?" one producer told Page Six.

Kevin had recently claimed that producers were eager to hire him in the event that he was cleared, and that might be the case… in Europe.

"Look at all these men accused of sex crimes, from Woody Allen to Roman Polanski, they're all working in Europe," a Hollywood source said. "Woody's even got his new movie coming up at [the] Venice Film Festival. … All these men get a clean bill of health in Europe, but it's harder to come back to Hollywood."

Woody has been accused of molesting his own daughter, a claim he's long denied. Roman was accused of sexual assault of a minor in 1977. Both have continued to make critically acclaimed movies outside of the United States.

Britney Spears' fight with her family has added another chapter.

The pop star is said to be furious with her sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, for allowing their father, Jamie Spears, to live in the guest house of her newly built Louisiana home. According to an Oct. 4 report from DailyMail.com, Britney is "extremely bothered" by the arrangement between Jamie Lynn and Jamie.

"This obviously infuriates Britney for so many reasons," a source said. "She feels betrayed that her sister is putting up her dad and allowing him to watch her kids after what he did to [Britney]. She cannot believe that Jamie is caring for Jamie Lynn's daughters when he was partially to blame for Britney's falling out with her two sons."

Jamie Spears is living with his youngest daughter after another failed rehab stint, DailyMail.com reported on Oct. 4, adding that he completed a 30-day program in July.

"Jamie just got out of rehab but is already drinking again, which worries [his ex-wife] Lynne and [daughter] Jamie Lynn," a source said.

Still, the alleged drinking hasn't kept the Spears patriarch from Jamie Lynn's two children, Ivey, 5, and Maddie, 15. In fact, Jamie watched the girls while Jamie Lynn was in Los Angeles competing on "Dancing With the Stars." Jamie Lynn is now back with the girls after being eliminated from the competition on Oct. 3.

Last year, Jamie admitted to moving into Jamie Lynn's home but said it was for health reasons.

Britney Spears is not pleased with the living arrangement, as she feels that her father drove a wedge between her and sons Sean Preston, 18, and Jayden James, 17, who both now live in Hawaii with their father, Kevin Federline.

Back in 2019, Jamie Spears allegedly got into a physical altercation with a then 13-year-old Jayden. Shortly after, Kevin and the boys got a restraining order against Jamie.

In her conservatorship battle, Britney accused her father of abuse and heavy drinking.

Through all the drama and Britney's post-conservatorship behavior, the "Toxic" singer's relationship with her sons faltered too, as they haven't seen her in well over a year at this point, according to reports.

Lynne Spears wrote about former husband Jamie Spears' drinking in her book, "Through the Storm."

"Jamie always enjoyed a beer here and there, but he didn't start drinking heavily until after Bryan was born," she wrote, referring to her and Jamie's eldest child, Bryan Spears.

She called him an "alcoholic" who was "barely present, supportive or loving" toward the end of their marriage. She finally filed for divorce in 2020 after "years and years of verbal abuse, abandonment [and] erratic behavior," she claimed.

While drinking, she said Jamie had "cruel words, flung in the heat of the moment, fueled by alcohol's evil energy."

_

Amid her efforts to end the conservatorship that ruled her life for more than 13 years — which was run by father Jamie Spears — Britney Spears said, "I've always been scared of my dad. I was scared he would show up drunk."

Her little sister, Jamie Lynn Spears — the same one Jamie lives with now — had similar thoughts. In her memoir, "Things I Should Have Said," the "Zoey 102" star shared that her dad's drinking made her feel even more "neglected" while living in Britney's shadow.

"He spent most of my life in that cycle of ruinous behavior. His bouts of drinking always caused me periods of torment and sorrow," she penned. "It created a lot of anxiety. The hardest part was, 'Could I trust you? Are you drinking? Are you not?'"

During Britney's conservatorship case, her lawyer, Matthew Rosengart, called Jamie an "alcoholic and gambling addict."

The news about Jamie Spears' living arrangements and rehab stay comes a week after a report claimed Britney Spears' mother, Lynne Spears, was taking on part-time work at a Louisiana school while struggling to pay her bills — this despite the fact that her famous daughter is reportedly worth $60 million. Lynne's younger daughter, Jamie Lynn Spears, is estimated to be worth $6 million.

"[Lynne] is struggling to pay her bills, but she has already substituted for several classes at [a local school]," a source told DailyMail.com. Substitute teachers make about $15 a hour in Kentwood, Louisiana, where Lynne is teaching.

Although Britney and Lynn had a very brief reconciliation earlier in 2023, their relationship has again soured and the "Through The Storm" author's finances have been "seriously impacted" by the fallout, the source added.

History was made on Tuesday, Oct. 3. Republican Congressman Kevin McCarthy was removed as Speaker of the House of Representatives. The last time someone filed a motion to vacate the Speaker was in 1910. In that instance, Republican Speaker Joseph Cannon survived. Kevin would have no such luck after Florida Rep Matt Gaetz filed a resolution to take the California lawmaker's gavel away. The vote ended up being 216-210 in favor of ousting Kevin, who is now the shortest serving Speaker since 1876.

TV star says her mom encouraged her to go under the knife early in her career

For Christy Carlson Romano's mom, bigger is better — even when her daughter was still a teenager. In fact, the Disney alum revealed that her mom, Sharon Romano, encouraged her to get breast implants as a young actress. At the time, Christy was starring in "Cadet Kelly" and had developed "body image issues big time." It was then that her mom provided a solution to the problem.

Christy Carlson Romano was on the verge of becoming an adult when she starred in "Cadet Kelly," but she never felt confident in herself.

During an appearance on the "Vulnerable" podcast, the "Even Stevens" alum recalled, "At the time obviously, I was coming of age in Hollywood … and my mom and me looked at footage or some s***. She was like, 'Christy, if you want to get breast implants, I just want to let you know that's an option.'"

Christy has no ill will toward her mother, Sharon, noting that she's from "a whole different generation."

"I love my mom," Christy said. "She was stage mom-ing that moment."

Christy Carlson Romano's "Cadet Kelly" character, Jennifer Stone, "wasn't glam" — especially not "in juxtaposition" to Hilary Duff's Kelly Collins character.

"I had that really tight very, like, rigid uniform on," Christy said. "I remember seeing [myself] … standing face-to-face with her and I'm completely flat-chested."

Not long after Christy celebrated her 18th birthday, she decided it was time to get breast implants.

After Christy Carlson Romano's plastic surgery reveal, fans took to Instagram to applaud her for her honesty.

"This gave me CHILLS. You were a child and the one who suggested cosmetic surgery should have been the one to shield you from that. I'm so, so sorry Christy," one person wrote.

Replied Christy, "The system affects everyone in the family [to be honest]."

She told another follower that she has "no regrets."

Since her time as a Disney star, Christy Carlson Romano has been outspoken about her struggles with her mental health. "Many of you know me as the girl from that TV show or movie you once saw on the Disney Channel," she wrote in a 2019 essay for Teen Vogue. "Maybe you saw me on Broadway or in a Lifetime Movie. I am an actress and if you were going to define my 'brand' you might say I was 'perfect' or 'pulled together.' I'm here to throw a wrench at that image."

"During a period of time in my life, I grappled with depression, drinking, and more, desperate to find fixes for how I felt," she added.

While starring on the Disney Channel's "Even Stevens" in the early aughts, Christy Carlson Romano was rolling in the dough. As a 16-year-old, she had raked in "millions of dollars" through her acting career, a book deal and a record deal. In 2021, she admitted that she blew through all of her money. All of it.

In a YouTube video, Christy, 39, said she had a "complicated" relationship with money, having always thought she'd have an ample amount of it.

"My biggest thing about child actors, you aren't told that the work is going to slow down," she said. "In fact, I was told the opposite, specifically by my mom, some of my team, even my money manager at the time."

Initially, Christy put some money toward college, but she dropped out less than two years later.

"Then I had this money at my disposal," she said. "I was never told how much money I was making. Money didn't have a purpose for me, I didn't really know what it was. I just knew that I had it and didn't care about it. That's a problem."

Once the money ran out, she took roles she didn't really want. "Basically, I did a nude scene," she recalled. "I had never thought in a million years that I would ever do something like this. I was America's sweetheart, morally sound in my mind. I believed in the Disney magic, I still do. And then I felt so exploited and marked and horrible."

Sofia Vergara's love life is apparently off limits on "America's Got Talent."

In the wake of her split from husband Joe Manganiello, Sofia's "AGT" co-star Howie Mandel has made a number of digs at her romantic status, telling a contestant in August that the judge was single — and now he's poking fun at her directly.

During the Sept. 13 episode of "AGT," Sofia succumbed to a lie detector test during which she initially answered a handful of light-hearted questions. The lie detector indicated she was fibbing when Heidi Klum asked if Simon Cowell was "like a sweet puppy," according to "Entertainment Tonight."

Sofia gave a more honest answer when asked if she preferred working on "AGT" to her tenure on "Modern Family" (she apparently does). Things went downhill abruptly, however, when Howie inquired if Sofia was "interested in" any of the audience members. "That's it!" Sofia hollered, yanking the lie detector cuff off her arm to end the test before heading back to the judges' table.

Howie said he was widely criticized online after his last comment about Sofia's divorce, telling "ET" that "people said it was too soon and it was tasteless."

Sofia and Joe announced their split in July after nearly eight years of marriage.

Prison pals

"Real Housewives of Salt Lake City" alum Jen Shah has a new friend to lean on in federal prison. That would be convicted tech entrepreneur and former billionaire Elizabeth Holmes, according to People. "They're friends," Jen's rep, Chris Giovanni, recently told the outlet. "They're both rehabilitating and have bonded over being on this journey of positive change." Elizabeth is currently serving an 11-year sentence at Federal Prison Camp in Bryan, Texas, for defrauding the government and her Theranos investors out of millions. Earlier this year, Jen surrendered herself to authorities at the same prison to begin serving her six-and-a-half-year sentence for a telemarketing fraud scheme.

"Their situations brought them together, and they have a good understanding of one another. They're getting through it together," said Jen's rep. "Jen's given her a lot of advice. She's even met Elizabeth's baby and held her." The spokesperson added that both Jen and Elizabeth have "changed a lot behind bars."

Sobriety milestone

Ryan Phillippe is celebrating a new personal sobriety record. "Officially the longest I've gone since I was a teen without some kind of nicotine or marijuana in my system (among other things…)," the "Shooter" star, 49, wrote on Instagram on Sept. 14. "Feeling thankful for the freedom that comes with breaking addictions and dependency on substance. Sobriety, clarity, and spiritual connectedness feels real good.🙏" His post was met with a slew of encouraging comments, many of which featured references to the sobriety milestones of some of Ryan's followers.

The star later shared the same selfie on his Instagram Stories, this time with a caption that read, "My only remaining addictions are toothpicks & self-improvement."

Still angry

Sean Penn doesn't have the best track record when it comes to violent outbursts, That didn't stop him from unleashing a "furious" rant about the moment Will Smith slapped Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscars in a September 2023 cover story for Variety. Sean — who spent weeks behind bars in 1987 for punching an extra in the face repeatedly on the set of "Colors" while he was on probation for a misdemeanor battery charge, according to the Los Angeles Times — is promoting his new documentary "Superpower," about Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Recalling that the Academy of Motion Pictures & Sciences wouldn't give Zelenskyy a platform at the 2022 Oscars to address Russia's then-recent invasion of Ukraine, Sean suggested producers got Will's slap "instead." "I don't know Will Smith. I met him once," the star said, adding that Will "seemed very nice" and was "so … good" in "King Richard." "So why the f*** did you just spit on yourself and everybody else with this stupid f****** thing? Why did I go to f****** jail for what you just did? And you're still sitting there? Why are you guys standing and applauding his worst moment as a person?" he continued.

"This … wouldn't have happened with Zelenskyy. Will Smith would never have left that chair to be part of stupid violence. It never would have happened," Sean concluded. He was so angry, in fact, that he wanted to "destroy his Oscars," according to Variety. Sean said he figured he could "give them to Ukraine" to melt down for bullets in the ongoing war with Russia.

Living with regret

Amy Winehouse would have turned 40 on Sept. 14, a milestone her ex-husband, Blake Fielder-Civil reflected on in a candid interview with "Good Morning Britain." Amy and Blake were married from 2007 until 2009 and their infamously tumultuous marriage often made headlines, as did rumors about Blake's role in the singer's drug and alcohol use. Looking back, Blake admitted he would have done "almost everything differently" if he could go back in time to their romance. "If it wasn't for certain factors I think it could have been a different outcome. Everything happened very quickly for Amy. We were young," he said, according to the Evening Standard.

He also addressed being blamed for her death — and the "huge mistakes" he made along the way. "That's one of the reasons I wanted to speak today. I do [get blamed] and that's OK. I can't change how other people feel about that," Blake said. "But for me personally, I've needed to stop carrying that cross on my own. I've carried that burden myself for over 10 years. I feel, to be honest, that I'm the only person within that story that's ever held any accountability, that's ever tried to say, 'Yep, I made some huge mistakes.'"

Asked to elaborate, Blake said: "I was a 20-something-year-old drug addict. So I had absolutely no idea how to make myself clean, let alone somebody else who was a big cog in a machine for a record label, and there were vested interests in Amy carrying on performing." Amy died in July 2011 at age 27. The coroner ruled she died as an "unintended consequence" of "alcohol toxicity." Her family recently released a new collection of her writing, doodles and lyrics called "Amy Winehouse: In Her Words," with proceeds going to the Amy Winehouse Foundation.

Birthday Bey-cation

Birthday girl Beyoncé turned 42 on Sept. 4, and after wrapping up a celebrity-packed performance in Inglewood, California, she reportedly took a break from her Renaissance World Tour on a private island in French Polynesia. TMZ reports Bey whisked family and friends — including her husband Jay-Z and their kids — off to the remote yet luxe Brando Resort in Mermaid Bay, which Town & Country recently named the world's "most luxurious eco resort." Insiders tell TMZ Bey, Jay and their little ones, Blue Ivy, Rumi, and Sir, stayed in one of 11 villas she rented for the group from Sept. 5 through Sept. 8. The famous family's four-bedroom pad was believed to have a $20,000-a-night price tag. Beyoncé hopped right back on tour after her quick escape to paradise.

TV star with five split personalities and 'dissociative identity disorder' opens up about her condition

Former "90210" actress AnnaLynne McCord was diagnosed with dissociative identity disorder, or DID, in 2017. DID is a mental condition that sees a person inflicted with various identities that can control their behavior at different times. In other words, it means you have split personalities and they can take over your body in the blink of an eye. It can also cause memory loss, delusions or depression.

In a new interview, the actress opened up about her condition and her five personalities, all of which have taken control of her life at one time or another — one of them was even incredibly dangerous and "traumatizing," she said.

AnnaLynne McCord was in the shower in 2020 when her teenage self appeared and let her know she'd seen enough of this life.

"I had not been suicidal for years. But my 13-year-old self told me that she didn't want to integrate with me," the former "Nip/Tuck" star told DailyMail.com in a September 2023 interview. "She said, 'I don't want to integrate with you, I ruined your life. I have to go away.'"

Shaken by the moment, AnnaLynne decided to record a video diary to audibly share her thoughts, but the "traumatizing" alter ego took over again.

"She said, 'I can't live anymore, I can't be here anymore.' Since everything has to be humor with me, I was like, 'Girl, just so you know, I need the body, so you can't take the body if you are going away,'" AnnaLynne recalled. "I was talking about what I was dealing with… and then all of the sudden this split came out and needed to speak on her own behalf."

AnnaLynne didn't watch the video for a year.

When AnnaLynne McCord finally rewatched a video diary in which one of her personalities took over, that was the moment she knew she wanted to help others dealing with split personality disorders.

"When I finally looked at it again, I realized, people deal with this and they don't know what to do and they actually might end the body," she said. "I had the wherewithal to know that this was a part of me that wanted to go but not me, as crazy as that sounds because we don't understand it fully. It is unknown, but I want to make it known. And that was the moment."

Interestingly, when that 13-year-old alter ego disappeared and never came back, AnnaLynne had a week-long "grieving period."

The personalities that took over AnnaLynne McCord's life were all very distinct: there was her dark and suicidal 13-year-old self; "Autopilot Anna" always had the "perfect tailored response at all times"; the "Domino" alter ago, Anna said, was "a very salacious young lady – a toughie"; and "Earth Mother" who was very loving.

In describing the personalities, she said, "They would talk to me and that was really fun to keep up with, just super fun. They're very colorful, a roundtable in there."

It was like "a different me's inside of me," she added.

AnnaLynne McCord believes she developed her split personalities as a result of a childhood sexual trauma. In 2021, she told People magazine she's been sexually assaulted between the age of five and 11 by someone she knew.

"It was about disembodiment. It's a disconnection from mind to body," she said at the time.

Being an actress didn't exactly help AnnaLynne McCord's diagnosis, as she had to play different characters. Her role in 2012's "Excision" was particularly difficult. In that film, she played a delusional high school student named Pauline.

"I played a very cerebral, disturbed, strange little girl that was very close to who I feel I am on the inside. It was very exposing, very confronting, probably a bit re-traumatizing without realizing it," she told DailyMail.com.

At the same time, she was filming CW's "90210."

"The crazy thing about it was that I wrapped that film at 2am on a Tuesday and had to be happy, crazy Beverly Hills blonde bombshell on Wednesday at noon," AnnaLynne said. "I couldn't find her, she was not accessible. I was dark, I was very deep into this character Pauline and I couldn't get [out.]"
