Emmy winner to be recharged with involuntary manslaughter in shooting death of cinematographer: New report

Alec Baldwin is still not in the clear over the shooting death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of indie-western film "Rust." A new report from NBC claims New Mexico prosecutors intend to recharge the actor with involuntary manslaughter in connection with the fatal 2021 shooting.

Sources tell NBC that the case will be brought before a grand jury in mid-November and plea deal discussions have already been occurring.

Alec Baldwin was hit with two counts of involuntary manslaughter after a gun he was holding while setting up a scene for "Rust" fired, killing cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on a film set near Santa Fe, New Mexico, on Oct. 21, 2021. Director Joel Souza was also injured in the incident.

The Emmy winner has maintained that he accidentally shot Halyna after he was told that the gun he was holding was not loaded. It's still unclear why live rounds of ammunition were even on the New Mexico set in the first place.

"Rust" armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed was also charged for her role in the tragedy.

Both Alec and Hannah pleaded not guilty.

After charges were filed against Alec Baldwin, his attorney, Luke Nikas, hit back at the news: "This decision distorts Halyna Hutchins' tragic death and represents a terrible miscarriage of justice. Mr. Baldwin had no reason to believe there was a live bullet in the gun — or anywhere on the movie set. He relied on the professionals with whom he worked, who assured him the gun did not have live rounds. We will fight these charges, and we will win," he said in a statement.

Alec has long maintained that he was told the gun was "cold" — meaning it contained no ammunition — when it was handed to him that day. He's also said repeatedly that he did not pull the trigger.

"I feel that someone is responsible for what happened, and I can't say who that is, but I know it's not me," Alec told ABC News in December 2021.

In April 2023, the charges against Alec Baldwin in connection with the fatal shooting of "Rust" cinematographer Halyna Hutchins were dropped. In a statement, his attorneys Luke Nikas and Alex Spiro said, "We are pleased with the decision to dismiss the case against Alec and we encourage a proper investigation into the facts and circumstances of this tragic accident."

Prosecutors noted that "new facts" came to light that resulted in the charges being dropped. They added, however, that "this decision does not absolve Mr. Baldwin of criminal culpability and charges may be refiled."

Charges against "Rust" armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed were not dropped.

In August, a forensics report alleged that Alec Baldwin had to have pulled the trigger on that fateful day that took the life of Halyna Hutchins.

"Although Alec Baldwin repeatedly denies pulling the trigger, given the tests, findings and observations reported here, the trigger had to be pulled or depressed sufficiently to release the fully cocked or retracted hammer of the evidence revolver," the forensics report noted, according to CBS.

"The only conceivable alternative [to the trigger being pulled] would be a situation in which the trigger was already pulled or held rearward while retracting the hammer to its full cock position. Although unlikely and totally contrary to the normal operation of these single action revolvers, such improper handling, would result in the discharge of a live cartridge," the report continued.

When the involuntary manslaughter charges were dropped earlier this year, prosecutors said the gun might have been modified before the shooting and malfunctioned. But a source tells NBC that prosecutors no longer believe the gun had been modified and have "found new evidence that they believe connects [Alec] to recklessness around safety standards on the set."

An involuntary manslaughter charge could carry up to 18 months in prison.

'America's Got Talent' contestant suing show after near-fatal stunt left him 'catastrophically injured' and paraplegic

Jonathan Goodwin, the daredevil who nearly died in 2021 from a stunt during rehearsals for "America's Got Talent: Extreme," is laying blame on the production itself. In October 2023, the stuntman filed a lawsuit alleging that the show cut corners and didn't do enough to ensure the safety of its contestants.

In 2021, Jonathan was practicing for a dangerous stunt he planned to perform on the reality TV show — in the stunt, he hung upside down between two swinging cars while escaping from a strait jacket. Video shows Jonathan, who is hanging about two-stories high, escaping but still being sandwiched between the two suspended swinging vehicles, both of which burst into flames.

Stuntman Jonathan Goodwin was "catastrophically injured" during an Oct. 21, 2021, rehearsal at the Atlanta Motor Speedway in Georgia, he said in court docs obtained by TMZ in October 2023.

At the time of Jonathan's incident, many people thought he was dead and the outlook certainly appeared bleak.

Jonathan survived, but he is now paralyzed and confined to a wheelchair.

Shortly after the incident, Jonathan Goodwin claimed he did nothing wrong, and he's sticking by that statement. In his lawsuit, the former reality TV hopeful claims "America's Got Talent" failed to implement industry safety standards and hired unqualified people to oversee and design the stunt. He even says the stunt wasn't tested with a dummy beforehand to identify any potential flaws.

Jonathan Goodwin still has mental, physical and emotional injuries from the "catastrophic, life-altering" incident, he says in the lawsuit.

After it happened, Jonathan's fiancée, "Sherlock" actress Amanda Abbington, said on Instagram: "He fell 30ft and lost a kidney, broke both shoulder blades, shattered both legs. Third-degree burns, broke his spine and severed his spinal cord and nearly died. And then on the operating table, he nearly died again."

She added, "Unless there's a kind of stem cell surgery, or that thing that Elon Musk is designing with the little chip, he'll be like that forever."

According to his social-media profile, Jonathan Goodwin now lives in his native England, where he practices hypnotherapy and is a screenwriter.

Last year, Jonathan's fiancée Amanda Abbington recalled her beau giving her a "Get Out of Jail Free" card if she wanted to leave the relationship knowing that he would never walk again. She stayed by his side then, and has continued to.

Legendary and beloved singer-songwriter Jimmy Buffett is dead at 76.

"Jimmy passed away peacefully on the night of September 1st surrounded by his family, friends, music and dogs. He lived his life like a song till the very last breath and will be missed beyond measure by so many," read a statement on his Instagram page.

It was later revealed that the music star passed away following a lengthy battle with Merkel cell skin cancer, a rare and aggressive cancer that he was diagnosed with in 2019.

The night marked the new couple's official coming out: It was the first time they've been photographed together while showing PDA since they were first linked in September, which saw Taylor showing up at some of Travis's NFL games. She's also spent time with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end's mother and father at his games.

The romance was set in motion over the summer when Travis lamented on the "New Heights" podcast he hosts with brother Jason Kelce, a center for the Philadelphia Eagles, that he'd tried and failed to give Taylor a homemade friendship bracelet with his number on it when he watched her "The Eras Tour" performance at his team's Missouri stadium in July 2023.

"I was disappointed that she doesn't talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings," Travis said, adding, "So, I was a little b***-hurt that I didn't get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her." 'Moonlighting' creator shares update on Emmy-winning actor's dementia decline

Amid his deteriorating health and battle with dementia, Bruce Willis is still the same guy, but he's "seeing life through a screen door," according to a friend.

Glenn Gordon Caron, the creator of "Moonlighting" who's also one of the "Die Hard" actor's close friends, told the New York Post in an October 2023 interview that Bruce is in decline and that his zest for life is no longer there.

Glenn further shared that Bruce's exuberance for life isn't the only thing impacted by dementia.

Back in March 2022, Bruce Willis's family revealed he'd been diagnosed with aphasia and was stepping away from acting. A year later, the two-time Emmy winner was diagnosed with dementia.

"I'm not always quite that good but I try and I do talk to him and his wife [Emma Heming Willis] and I have a casual relationship with his three older children," Glenn Gordon Caron told the New York Post. "I have tried very hard to stay in his life."

He added, "The thing that makes [his disease] so mind-blowing is [that] if you've ever spent time with Bruce Willis, there is no one who had any more joie de vivre than he. He loved life and … just adored waking up every morning and trying to live life to its fullest."

Although it's hard to know exactly what Bruce Willis comprehends these days, "Moonlighting" creator Glenn Gordon Caron doesn't think the actor has a complete understanding of his situation, as he is "seeing life through a screen door."

"My sense is the first one to three minutes he knows who I am," Glenn told the New York Post. "He's not totally verbal; he used to be a voracious reader — he didn't want anyone to know that — and he's not reading now. All those language skills are no longer available to him, and yet he's still Bruce."

The TV creator added, "When you're with him, you know that he's Bruce and you're grateful that he's there, but the joie de vivre is gone."

Bruce Willis broke into the entertainment business in 1985 with his role in "Moonlighting," a show that can now be streamed on Hulu. The series' creator, Glenn Gordon Caron, was able to tell Bruce about the streaming deal before he became "non verbal."

"The process [to get 'Moonlighting' onto Hulu] has taken quite a while and Bruce's disease is a progressive disease, so I was able to communicate with him, before the disease rendered him as incommunicative as he is now, about hoping to get the show back in front of people," Glenn told the New York Post. "I know it means a lot to him."

He added, "I know [Bruce] is really happy that the show is going to be available for people, even though he can't tell me that. When I got to spend time with him we talked about it and I know he's excited."

Emma Heming Willis recently spoke about her husband's condition with "Today" co-anchor Hoda Kotb, saying "it's hard to know" if Bruce Willis knows what's going on.

"Dementia is hard," Emma said in September 2023. "It's hard on the person diagnosed, it's also hard on the family. And that is no different for Bruce, or myself, or our [two] girls. When they say this is a family disease, it really is."

In fact, when the family received Bruce's dementia diagnosis, Emma called it a "blessing and a curse."

"To finally understand what was happening, so that I could be into the acceptance of what is. It doesn't make it any less painful, but just being … in the know of what is happening to Bruce makes it a little easier," she explained.

Panic attack reveal

The first time it happened to Carson Daly, he was getting ready to go on the air on MTV's "Total Request Live," when he was struck with a feeling so scary he thought it might kill him. As it turned out, Carson was having a panic attack, not a heart attack. Now, "The Voice" presenter is opening up about how he overcame his once debilitating anxiety in the hopes sharing his story might help reduce stigma around mental health issues.

"One September day, I thought I was going to die," Carson recalled in a speech from the Project Healthy Minds gala shared by the "Today" show's Youtube channel. He was in his dressing room ahead of "TRL," as usual, when he felt "a snap in my brain," he said, per Entertainment Weekly. "My heart started to race and fear went through my body like I was a kid and wouldn't let go. It was like somebody cracked one of those cold compresses at a Little League game and put it on my neck." He went on to recall being unsure what his producer was saying to him as he stood before him.

"It looked like he was talking in slo-mo. I was literally leaving reality," he said. "I thought, 'My God, I'm having a stroke in front of Hanson.' It passed in 30 seconds, but it felt like 30 minutes."

The experience left him "terrified" of a repeat, he explained, until his doctor told him he'd had a panic attack as a result of severe anxiety. "It was time to start working on myself. And over the years, I put in the work to manage and, ultimately, admire my anxiety," he said. Thanks to therapy, meditation, breathing exercises, medication, the help of friends and changes in his focus, Carson said he's finally "learned to manage" his mental health through the years. "Ultimately, I came to accept that this is who I am and not only do I accept it, I'm stronger because of it," he said.

Assisted ending pact

Sharon Osbourne says she and Ozzy Osbourne remain committed to a mutual, physician-assisted suicide pact should one of them become mentally and physically incapacitated. "I don't want it to actually hurt," Sharon, 71, said on the Oct. 10 edition of her family's "The Osbournes" podcast. "Mental suffering is enough pain without physical. So if you've got mental and physical, see ya," she told her children when son Jack Osbourne asked if the pact still stands.

"But what if you could survive?" Kelly Osbourne asked her mom. "Yeah, what if you survived and you can't wipe your own a**, you're p****** everywhere, s*******, can't eat?" retorted the host of "The Talk" U.K. edition.

Ozzy, who was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2003, and Sharon first revealed their agreement to potentially end their lives with the help of physicians in Switzerland in a 2007 interview with The Daily Mirror. Sharon's father, Don Arden, had died earlier that year after a grueling battle with Alzheimer's disease and Sharon said she and Ozzy, 74, never wanted their children to watch them go through something similar.

"[We] have drawn up plans to go to the assisted suicide flat in Switzerland if we ever have an illness that affects our brains," she told the outlet at the time. "At least with something like cancer you can communicate, say how you feel and explain why your body hurts. But my father deteriorated at such a rapid speed he became a shell of himself — dribbling, wearing a diaper and tied into a wheelchair because he didn't realize he could no longer walk," she shared, calling the plan they set up "a final gift of love to our kids."

Dealer sentenced in actor's death

The third of four people linked to "The Wire" actor Michael K. Williams' overdose death was sentenced on Oct. 10 to five years in prison in New York City. The Associated Press reports Luis Cruz previously pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of narcotics conspiracy before his sentencing in federal court.

Michael died in his Brooklyn home at age 54 in September 2021, just hours after buying fentanyl-laced heroin from a local drug-dealing crew, authorities said. He was found with fentanyl, heroin and cocaine in his system and his death was ruled an accidental overdose. The dealers who sold him the tainted drugs reportedly continued selling to others after the actor's death.

"It was a terrible mistake in judgment," Cruz told the judge in a statement before his sentence was read. Irvin Cartagena, the crew member who allegedly sold Michael the drugs, was sentenced to 10 years in prison in August 2023, according to the Daily Beast. "The Wire" star had spoken openly about his struggle with substance abuse after joining the show.

Mutual bad blood

Chevy Chase's last jabs at "Community" and his former co-stars on the Emmy Award-winning sitcom are just another example of "Chevy being Chevy," according to fellow "Community" alum Joel McHale. "He stopped hurting my feelings in 2009," Joel recently told People, referencing the show's first year on the air.

Joel had been asked about the former "Saturday Night Live" star's September 2023 appearance on Marc Maron's "WTF" podcast, where Chevy said "Community" "wasn't funny enough" for him and that he didn't want to spend his days working with the cast, which included Gillian Jacobs, Danny Pudi, Yvette Nicole Brown, Alison Brie, Donald Glover and Ken Jeong.

"Everybody had their bits, and I thought they were all good. It just wasn't hard-hitting enough for me," claimed Chevy, who was reportedly fired from "Community" in 2012 after using a racial slur on the set. "I didn't mind the character. I just felt that it was… I felt happier being alone. I just didn't want to be surrounded by that table, every day, with those people. It was too much."

Joel, for his part, pointed out that Chevy had free will and could have quit. "I was like, 'Hey, no one was keeping there,'" he told People. "I mean, we weren't sentenced to that show. It was like, 'All right, you could have left if you really wanted that.' But yeah, you know Chevy. That's Chevy being Chevy. … I was like, 'Hey, the feeling's mutual, bud,'" Joel added.

"Community" aired for six seasons from 2009 until 2015. In 2022, NBC confirmed a spin-off movie is in development. Chevy is — surprise — not involved.

Celebrity Swifties

From Beyoncé to Mariska Hargitay, Taylor Swift's "Eras Tour" concert movie premiere in Los Angeles on Oct. 11 was awash in famous faces as stars packed the red carpet at The Grove to support the 12-time Grammy winner. While Taylor reportedly caught up with Queen Bey for dinner ahead of the screening, celebrities including Julia Garner, Adam Sandler, Simu Liu, Maren Morris and Public Enemy alum Flava Flav were also on hand to check out Taylor's highly anticipated new movie, which is expected to make between $150 and $200 million over the course of its opening weekend.

Featuring a compilation of performances from Taylor's Eras Tour performances at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, the film opened one day early, on Oct. 12, due to intense demand for tickets.

"You're stuck with me, because I'm going to sit with you and watch this thing," Taylor, clad in a wavy new faux bob and a blue Oscar de la Renta gown, told her eager fans while introducing the film, according to The New York Times. "Every single person in this theater has been hand-selected and hand-picked and invited to this night because you've shown some sort of extra type of support for this tour, and I appreciate that more than you could possibly know," she gushed, per Variety.

Name-clearing plans

Lizzo is reportedly considering a sit-down interview with "CBS Mornings" anchor Gayle King amid allegations she subjected her former dancers to sexual harassment, assault and more, according to a new report from The Sun.

In August, three former members of Lizzo's Big Grrrls dance troupe filed suit against the star, claiming she routinely demeaned and weight-shamed them while they were working with her. The ex-employees, Crystal Williams, Noelle Rodriguez and Arianna Davis, also accused Lizzo of sexual, religious and racial harassment as well as false imprisonment, all of which the singer has denied in statements on Instagram.

"Lizzo is being guided by her team as to what would be the best course of action to take," a source claimed to The Sun in a report published Oct. 12. "Given the high profile nature of the scandal, Lizzo is reportedly weighing options from 'a number of people interested in a sit-down interview,'" the person said, adding that Lizzo's professional reputation has already been affected by the claims against her.

On Instagram in August, Lizzo said, in part, "My character has been criticized. Usually I choose not to respond to false allegations but these are as unbelievable as they sound and too outrageous to not be addressed." She went on to write, "These sensationalized stories are coming from former employees who have already publicly admitted that they were told their behavior on tour was inappropriate and unprofessional."

Her attorney, Marty Singer, has reiterated that sentiment, telling the Daily Mail and other publications the plaintiffs were photographed "happily cavorting backstage" at a cabaret in Paris shortly after one of the alleged incidents of sexual harassment took place in Amsterdam's red light district. He also told the Mail Lizzo plans to countersue. Over the summer, a Daily Mail source claimed Lizzo was a contender to perform at the 2024 Super Bowl Halftime Show, but was no longer being considered in light of the allegations.

"I can't tell you how many people come up to me and go, 'Oh, yeah, I'm a little OCD, too. I like everything in order. If my room is not clean, I'm just not happy. I've got a little OCD.' … You can't have a little OCD," he recently told TODAY.com.

The comedian went on to detail how OCD nearly cost him his marriage, prompting his wife to give him an "ultimatum."

Howie Mandel knew he wanted things to be a certain way — clean! But he didn't exactly want to talk about it. He now knows that was a mistake. These days, the comedian wants people who suffer from OCD to feel open to discussing their situation with a professional.

"I wouldn't go see a therapist. I wouldn't go see a psychiatrist. I would not talk about the word 'mental health' at all," he said. "I'd have my children and my wife spray everything down and not touch things. I wouldn't take things that they were handed. I would remove some of their toys that I saw touch the ground. I was making their life miserable."

Howie Mandel shares three adult children with his wife of 43 years, Terry. Over time, the family began to struggle with his OCD.

"My wife just gave me an ultimatum. She goes, 'I can't do this anymore and I can't have the children do it anymore. And if you don't get help, that's it,'" Howie said. "So it was an ultimatum that made me ultimately go to therapy, and I got diagnosed (with OCD)."

Howie Mandel found it "comforting" to receive an official diagnosis for OCD.

"I was embarrassed that I had this problem, and when you have a mental health problem, there is a stigma," he said.

Although Howie has come a long way since then, he still can't bring himself to shake hands with people.

People often downplay OCD, which Howie Mandel thinks is a mistake because "intrusive thoughts" can be debilitating.

"I've been really successful. I have a beautiful family, and I love what I do. But inside my head, it is a war zone, and it's a war worth fighting, and I continue to fight it," he said. "The inability to control your brain with these obsessive thoughts and the compulsion to fight them is far more prevalent in somebody with OCD. (Other) people have weird thoughts that go through their head and then it goes away."

Olivia Newton-John passed away in August 2022, but she might still be among us. While chatting with Fox News Digital, the "Grease" star's daughter, singer-actress Chloe Lattanzi, said her mom has visited her several times. She's also seen "visions" of her mom over the past year, she claimed.

"It doesn't just end with your body," Chloe said. "Energy can neither be created nor destroyed. So [she's] keeping her promise and showing up — she's shown up about six times as this blue aqua orb."

Although this might seem too out there for some, the notion that Olivia would appear as a blue orb isn't that farfetched, Chloe said.

Chloe Lattanzi has seen a blue orb several times in photos, and she's convinced it's actually her mom's spirit.

"You can see it flying, moving in movement," she said. "It's not just one of those silly reflections on an iPhone. So it's quite amazing. Whatever my mom puts her mind to, she does it."

The "Physical" singer died at 73 in August 2022 following a lengthy cancer battle.

Since Olivia Newton-John's passing, Chloe Lattanzi has been hyper-aware of blue orbs because of a deathbed conversation she had with her mom.

"Before my mom crossed, she said, 'I promise you if I can, I will show up as an orb.' And her favorite color was aqua,'" Chloe said in an Instagram video earlier this year. "Now about a week after she passed, I was walking with my phone and my phone took a photo. I didn't take it."

When Chloe examined the photo — a shot of her dog walking around — she "saw this blue thing flying around" her dog's head, she claimed.

She also saw the same blue orb in a photo of her stepmother, Nancy Chuda. "It's breathtaking and amazing. It is my mother in spirit," Chloe said.

Chloe Lattanzi has often felt her mom's presence over the past 14 months. In February 2023, Olivia Newton-John was honored with a state memorial service in her native Australia.

"I know she's here, standing beside me and within me," Chloe said. "I can hear her voice, [saying], 'You're safe, my darling. Don't be afraid. You're so much stronger than you think. Speak from your heart. That's all you have to do.'"

Olivia Newton-John was initially diagnosed with breast cancer in 1992. It went into remission but came back in 2013. It went into remission again but resurfaced in 2017.

"You have to find the silver lining; there's good in every bad situation," the four-time Grammy winner told Us Weekly in April 2019. "I'm very positive. I'm human, I have my moments of fear and anxiety like everybody does, but generally I choose to be positive because you create your world by what you think. And if you think dark thoughts, you're going to create a dark world."

Brain surgery revelation

Seth Rogen's wife, Lauren Miller Rogen, has revealed she underwent surgery to remove a brain aneurysm in 2022. The actress and screenwriter went public with her health scare in an Oct. 11 speech at the UCLA Department of Neurosurgery Visionary Ball in Beverly Hills, California, where she explained that she had a full-body MRI done five years ago, in part because her mother and grandmother both suffered from dementia.

Lauren said she wanted "to take a deeper look at anything that could possibly be lurking inside me that would affect my longevity," according to People. "They found, of course, this sort of aneurysm in my head," she continued, rehashing how she learned the "terrifying information."

"Fortunately, it was relatively small, and I did what the doctors recommended that I do, which is have annual MRIs [to] track the size," Lauren said. "It remained small, until it didn't."

Four years after doctors first spotted the aneurysm, they found in 2022 that it had started to grow. Lauren said she contacted UCLA neurosurgeon Dr. Geoffrey Colby, who helped her get "comfortable" with the idea of having it removed, which she eventually did.

"I'm truly endlessly grateful to Dr. Colby, his entire team, and the entire staff at UCLA who guided us through this scary experience that I'm truly grateful to have overcome," she concluded, adding, "I'm truly thankful that I won't be dying at this dinner table or any others anytime soon."

Unexpected assists

Britney Spears is getting support for her new book from a few unexpected fans — including her ex, Sam Asghari, and Oscar-nominated actress, Michelle Williams.

On Oct. 13, Britney, 41, revealed Michelle will narrate the audio book version of her new memoir, "The Woman In Me." "This book has been a labor of love and all the emotions that come with it," the singer said in a statement to People, which was first to report the news. "Reliving everything has been exciting, heart-wrenching, and emotional, to say the least. For those reasons, I will only be reading a small part of my audiobook. I am so grateful to the amazing Michelle Williams for reading the rest of it."

Listeners will hear Britney's voice only in the introduction, according to the outlet. Michelle is set to handle the remainder of the narration. "I stand with Britney," Michelle said in a statement about the pair's collaboration.

Britney reportedly signed a $15 million deal for the memoir, which details her "journey" from child star to pop star, according to a press release. She announced the project in April 2022 after a tumultuous period that saw her fight to end her long-running conservatorship and get engaged to her now estranged husband, Sam.

Despite their recent split, Sam says he's read the book and remains "proud" of his ex. "She put a lot of work to it, and it was very hard," Sam told TMZ on Oct. 12. "I'm definitely excited and I'm extremely proud of her. It was a really tough one … I'll be the first one in line to buy it."

No love for 'The View'

Meghan McCain's not done shading "The View" just yet. The conservative TV pundit, who left the morning show in 2021 after seemingly constant on-air fights with her more liberal co-hosts, recently told The Messenger she never watches the show, as doing so would be akin to Instagram-stalking an ex.

"Partly it's just because of my lifestyle. I don't have time to watch this kind of content," Meghan said while promoting her new podcast, "Meghan McCain Has Entered the Chat," in an interview published Oct. 13. "I do listen to a lot of podcasts. And you know, it's kind of like looking at an ex-boyfriend's Instagram — it's just not great for you," she mused. "So no, I don't watch."

On a more positive note, she did praise the wardrobe staff at "The View." "I just love getting dressed up," Meghan said. "So I miss the wardrobe people the most, and they're very kind. They have been the wardrobe people the entire history of the show."

No prenup needed

While promoting her new memoir, "Worthy" on an NBC News primetime special this week, Jada Pinkett Smith revealed she and her husband, Will Smith, have been secretly separated and living apart since 2016. And while they have no plans to divorce — "we're still figuring it out," the star recently told People — Jada was stunned when Will referred to her as his "wife" before he slapped Chris Rock for making a joke about her shaved head at the 2022 Oscars.

"First of all, I'm really shocked, because mind you, I'm not there. We haven't called each other husband and wife in a long time," the "Red table Talk" star told Hoda Kotb in the Oct. 13 special, according to Variety. "I'm like, 'What is going on right now? 'Keep my wife's name out of your mouth?'" she recalled, repeating what Will said to Chris before he slapped him.

Jada elaborated on the state of her marriage to Will in multiple interviews this week, telling People she "made a promise that there will never be a reason for us to get a divorce," committing instead, "work through … whatever" came their way.

In fact, the two were so committed to that notion that when they married on Dec. 31, 1997, they opted to forgo a prenup, despite their sizable respective wealth.

"I feel that [decision] was a very real moment for the two of us to look each other in the eyes, recognize that there would be tough times in this journey and to say to each other, 'No matter what, we're going to figure it out, and that's why we don't need a prenup, because I'm making a promise that divorce won't be necessary, that we will figure this out,'" Jada told Parade.

"We all have our romanticized ideas of how it all should be, and it might not show up in that way," she added. "But at the end of the day, do you have someone at your side that you're willing to go through tough times with and they're willing to go through tough times with you? I'm very lucky that I can say, 'Yes, I have someone that's willing to do that.'"

Rose petals and birthday Hermès

Birthday girl Cardi B celebrated her 31st trip around the sun on Oct. 11 and her husband, Migos rapper Offset, spoiled his lady all day long, showering her with gifts like this rare, $300,000 Faubourg Birkin bag. Cardi's day began with a trip down the stairs of her home, which Offset had covered in red rose petals and candles. She captured the flower-strewn view on her phone, posting an Instagram video that showed the floor below the steps equally covered in rose petals, along with huge balloons that read "Happy Birthday," a heart made of flowers with her name on it, pink balloons and more candles.

"So this is why you were rushing me downstairs to eat," Cardi says with a giggle in the clip. Later, Offset shared a series of Instagram Stories showing scenes from the couple's birthday dinner at Delilah in West Hollywood. Among them, were a clip of Cardi decked out in red lace as she blows out candles on a cake decorated to look like her — in her birthday suit, naturally. Offset also shared footage of waiters presenting the b-day girl with three Hermès boxes, which Cardi gleefully opened in between shots of Hennessy.

Conflict

Jill Duggar Dillard is weighing in on the conflict between Israel and Hamas, saying she can relate.

Back in 2015, the former "Counting On" star embarked on a mission to El Salvador with husband Derick Dillard and their oldest son. "My heart is heavy for anyone living in a war-torn country," Jill said on social media. "Though vastly different, I know the feeling of living in another country, terrified at times of the very real threat that my husband and I, along with our infant baby might be murdered as our close friends were kidnapped and murdered."

For years, gang violence in El Salvador has gotten progressively worse. When Jill and Derick were there, they had an armed guard. "Our personal situation was temporary. I cannot imagine having to deal with these daily threats at home, surrounded by an inescapable, grueling war," she said of the current Middle East conflict, which has claimed the lives of 2,500 so far.

She added, "There is no easy solution. But evil brutality and terrorism cannot rule… It must be stopped."

Plane fiasco

"Vanderpump Rules" alum Jax Taylor allegedly caused a coast-to-coast JetBlue flight to turn around because of an issue with his seat.

A source told Page Six on Oct. 9 that Jax was "throwing a fit" about his seat not reclining. "It made the plane two-and-a-half hours late because they were already on the runway, and it was raining," a source said. Another witness told Page Six, "People were upset, but not like, rioting, just frustrated and gossiping when we returned and parked at the gate."

However, Jax's rep said he's totally innocent and the airplane seat was to blame — not him. "The plane did not come back [to the gate] due to any uproar," his rep said. "His seat was in the bed position in first class and the plane is unable to take off if it is not upright. He was not able to sit in that seat. It was not working. It was not his fault that the seat wouldn't move from the bed position." A day later, Jax posted a photo from an airplane while noting that the seat worked properly.

Fighting for her life

Retired gymnast Mary Lou Retton– who won an Olympic gold medal in 1984 — is battling a rare form of pneumonia and fighting for her life in the ICU.

The former athlete, 55, is uninsured and unable to breathe on her own, Mary Lou's daughter McKenna Kelley revealed on a fundraising page. Since the page was set up, it's far exceeded its initial goal of $50,000.

On Oct. 12, McKenna posted an update. "My sisters Skyla, Shayla, Emma and I would like to thank everyone for the outpouring of love and support for our Mom," she wrote on Instagram. "Mom is in ICU and continues to fight. She is getting incredible medical care! Thank you to all the doctors and nurses! We ask for continued prayers and positive thoughts for our Mom."

So far, nearly $400,000 has been raised via more than 6,500 donations.

Separate lives

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith secretly separated seven years ago but continued to appear as husband and wife at Hollywood events. "We live separately," Jada said during an Oct. 11 appearance on "Today" to promote her new memoir, "Worthy." "I made a promise that there will never be a reason for us to get a divorce. We will work through whatever. And I just haven't been able to break that promise," she explained.

The couple was actually separated at the time of the infamous Chris Rock slapping incident at the 2022 Oscars. "I thought, 'This is a skit,'" she told People magazine of the attack. "I was like, 'There's no way that Will hit him.' It wasn't until Will started to walk back to his chair that I even realized it wasn't a skit."

Of her relationship with Will, Jada said, "We've been doing some really heavy-duty work together. We just got deep love for each other and we are going to figure out what that looks like for us."

Married

Two years after leaving her plural marriage, Christine Brown has married her one and only. The "Sister Wives" star tied the knot with David Woolley in a large ceremony in Moab, Utah, in front of 330 guests including their combined 14 children (David, a widower, is a father of eight and Christine shares six children with ex Kody Brown).

On Oct. 10, the former reality TV star posted images from their nuptials on social media. "Loving life!! I got to marry my soulmate and it was a beautiful day," she wrote on Instagram. "I'm just so overwhelmed with gratitude. Love you, My King."

Former Food Network star Michael Chiarello died at 61 on Oct. 6 at a Napa Valley, California, hospital. A statement from his company, Gruppo Chiarello, revealed that the famed chef was being treated for an acute allergic reaction that led to anaphylactic shock, which killed him.

On Oct. 10, a rep for the "Easy Entertaining With Michael Chiarello" host said questions remain. "The doctors don't know what caused the allergic reaction and neither does the family," the rep said. "They may never know."

Hero status

Legendary sports broadcaster Bob Costas is being hailed as a hero after he saved a man's life.

According to Oct. 10 reports, Bob and a pal were recently eating at a Syracuse, New York, restaurant when his friend started choking. The iconic announcer immediately performed the Heimlich maneuver on him. Since then, Bob has eschewed praise, telling "The Show With Joel Sherman and Jon Heyman" podcast that his friend had turned "crimson" so he "jumped up" to help. "Luckily enough it worked out," he shared. "I don't know if I saved his life, but I saved him considerable discomfort, that's for sure."

A rep for the longtime NBC Sports personality said, "Bob doesn't think this was that big of a deal. He really feels he did what just about anyone else would do in a similar situation." A humble hero.

Incarcerated TV star believes sentence of more than a decade is 'mission from God'

Although he was convicted of multiple financial crimes, Todd Chrisley believes the real reason he's in prison is because a higher power wants him there. According to an Oct. 11 report from TMZ, Todd thinks his imprisonment is "actually a mission from God to help others."

Since being locked up in January 2023, the "Chrisley Knows Best" star has railed against the prison system and what life is really like behind bars — he feels it's his moral duty to argue for better conditions.

Due to his notoriety, Todd Chrisley "feels blessed" to be able to shed some light on prison conditions. The reality TV star's attorney, Jay Sargent, told TMZ in October 2023 that Todd is "planning to launch programs and resources to help address the problems he says countless inmates are facing."

Since January 2023, Todd has been imprisoned at FPC Pensacola in Florida where he's encountered atrocious living conditions, his attorney claimed. Todd, Jay alleged, has faced "gross negligence and such total disregard for human life and decency from both the staff and just the entire corrections system."

After being made aware of Todd Chrisley's criticisms, a rep for the Federal Bureau of Prisons told TMZ, "While we decline to comment on anecdotal allegations, we can emphatically assure you the Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) is committed to ensuring the safety and security of all individuals in our population, our staff, and the public. Humane treatment of the men and women in our custody is a top priority."

Since being locked up, Todd Chrisley has allegedly witnessed a man begging for help for more than an hour after suffering a seizure.

And there are other examples of problematic prison conditions, his team alleged to TMZ.

With a decade a left in his prison sentence, the "Chrisley Knows Best" star plans to use his time and energy to make incarcerated life more tolerable.

In November 2022, Todd Chrisley was sentenced to 12 years behind bars following bank fraud and tax evasion convictions. His wife, Julie Chrisley, was sentenced to seven years in prison for the same crimes. Both also got 16 months of probation.

In September 2023, federal prison records showed that Todd and Julie both had their prison sentences reduced by at least a full year.

The Chrisley family patriarch's release from the Federal Prison Camp Pensacola is now scheduled for Jan. 22, 2033, which is two years shy of his 12-year sentence.

Julie is now set for release from Kentucky's Federal Medical Center Lexington on Oct. 19, 2028, which is 14 months short of her seven-year sentence.

There's speculation that the sentences could be reduced even further due to an upcoming implementation of new sentencing guidelines.

On Aug. 9, 2021, Cardi B took to Instagram to show off the custom Swarovski crystal-embellished Birkin bag she gifted her 3-year-old daughter, Kulture. According to Page Six, the rapper dropped $48K on the accessory, which was inspired by … and you're not going to believe this … a bag the adorable tot spotted at a Claire's store. "Kulture saw a small bag with a rainbow and started begging for it. In typical Cardi way, she didn't get that bag, but she called me instead to try to replicate that rainbow on a Birkin for Kulture," Privé Porter CEO Michelle Berk told the New York Post's gossip column, adding that it took 100 hours of work to place the 30,000 crystals that make up the rainbow.

If a Birkin a day keeps the doctor away, then Cardi B and her clan are going to be with us for a long, long time… On July 20, 2021, the rapper took to Instagram to show off her absolutely insane collection of Birkin bags … or at least a portion of her absolutely insane collection of Birkin bags. Cardi B and her husband, Migo rapper Offset, pulled out all the stops when their daughter, Kulture, turned 3 in July 2021. The trio arrived to the little girl's extremely over-the-top birthday bash in a horse-drawn carriage (see it here) and were greeted by a "unicorn" and several Disney princesses. After passing through a lengthy tunnel of balloons, they celebrated with a tiered Cinderella-themed birthday cake, a petting zoo and a seafood tower that nearly reached the ceiling. "My beautiful baby. I will do anything and everything for you," the proud mama captioned one slideshow of photos. (No kidding!) Name a more Cardi B way to introduce your new child to the world… we'll wait! On April 14, 2022, the rapper and mom of two took to Instagram to introduce her baby boy, Wave Set Cephus. Naturally, their 7-month old son was dripping in diamonds for his big debut. In addition to rocking diamond stud earrings, baby Wave wore a multi-strand diamond necklace that featured a massive diamond-encrusted wave-shaped pendant with his name spelled out in diamond baguettes alongside a colorful baby shark riding a surfboard attached to a Cuban link chain. The custom piece, which was certainly worth thousands of dollars, was created by celebrity jeweler Elliot Eliantte. (See a video here.)

On July 11, 2021, Cardi B took to Instagram to show off her daughter's 3rd birthday present: an Elliot Eliantte charm necklace worth a whopping $150K. "Her daddy out did me but I still got my baby nice. Thank you @eliantte for my baby charm necklace," she captioned a slideshow of videos showing off her little girl's enthusiastic reaction to her birthday bling, which she sported in a snap Cardi posted on Instagram the following month. (Offset, by the way, outdid Cardi by gifting Kulture a $250K Richard Mille watch.) After fans questioned her decision to spend so much money on Kulture's birthday bling, Cardi fired back on Twitter, "When your kid want ice cream for dinner do you give them ice cream for dinner? Speaking of Birkins… On Oct. 25, 2020, Cardi B took to Instagram to clap back at a racist social media post claiming that Birkin bags "lost their value" when she and other Black rappers started buying them. After revealing that she'd just bought "four bags today from the Hermés store," Cardi asserted that she does, in fact, "add value" to the brand "because when we mention brands in hip hop … [sales] go up." And she's not wrong! She went on to cite her track "Bodak Yellow" and how her reference to Christian Louboutin's red-bottomed shoes resulted in "an estimated $4.5 million in media value." Valentine's Day is the perfect Hallmark holiday for celebs to shower their partners in luxury items! In 2022, aside from gifting Cardi B six (yes, SIX!) Chanel bags, Offset also filled their home with large elaborate floral arrangements including four heart-shaped arches in the living room and a giant heart-shaped sculpture by the pool beautifully topped off with rose petals. Petals also lined the stairs of their home, trailed through hallways and led the way to the larger arrangements. Cardi took to Instagram to praise her hubby for his extravagant display of affection, writing alongside a slideshow of photos, "My day went like this yesterday. Love you my baby."

On April 6, 2021, Cardi B took to her Instagram Story to show a few of the luxury items she'd purchased for her daughter, Kulture, who'd yet to celebrate her 3rd birthday at the time. "I went crazy shopping — all for Kulture, though. Nothing is mine — all KK," she said while showing off four Chanel boxes, three Dior boxes and one Dolce & Gabbana bag. She also showed off her haul — which Page Six estimated to be worth a whopping $29K — in a since-deleted Instagram post. "This is what happens when God gives me the baby girl I always wanted. I shop more for her than I do myself," she wrote in the caption.

In December 2020, Cardi B gifted husband Offset a $600K Lamborghini Aventador SVJ for his 29th birthday … just three months after she filed for divorce amid a cheating scandal. (They subsequently reconciled.) Imagine what she would've given him if he'd been faithful!

In mid-2019, Cardi B dropped around $400K on daughter Kulture's first birthday bash, which featured an elaborate dessert table, a "Word Party"-themed cake and gifts including a blinged-out necklace with a diamond-encrusted charm featuring characters from "Word Party." She earned more than most people make in years over the course of one summer: $300K for Bonnaroo in Tennessee, $750K for Roskilde in Denmark and $900K for Open Air Frauenfeld in Switzerland. She also shared that she makes $150K per stop on her own tour.

Cardi B took to Twitter on Feb. 5, 2019, to rant about haters and how they react to how she chooses to spend her money. In the process, she revealed that she spends between $250K and $300K a month. "You know what I hate? I hate when celebrities do something very extravagant, buy something very luxurious, [and] there's people in the comments like, 'You could have donated that,' or 'We going backwards. You could have done this and that with your money.' It's like, who are you to tell people what to do with their hardworking a** money?" she said. "First of all, do you know that artists, celebrities, the IRS out of every check that you make, they automatically take 45 percent of your check? That means in order to spend $500,000, you gotta make at least a million. Like me, for example, my bills is like … about $300,000 or $250,000 every single month, and I try to put it cheaper and it's just, it's not."

On Dec. 1, 2018, Offset dished on Cardi B's hectic travel schedule — and her expensive habit of chartering private jets to be with their daughter, Kulture. "She's flying private jets for baby girl to be with her," the Migos rapper told Us Weekly. "She's paying a lot of money, but it's all love for Kulture. And that's who she do everything for first and I respect it. … I'll fly to her or she'll fly to me. Because we need the time [together]."

In late October 2018, Cardi B confirmed reports that she and Offset were offered seven-figure deals for the first photo of their daughter — and turned them all down. "We just don't wanna show our baby right now," she told Apple Music at the time. "I got offered seven figures, but I'm just not ready yet." Can you imagine?!

Official Lamb owners @offsetyrn #aventador #His&Hers #kultureparents," the "Bodak Yellow" rapper captioned a photo of herself posing on the hood of a blue Lamborghini Aventador alongside her hubby on the hood of a green version of the same car. And get this: Cardi paid for her ride in CASH. After some of her followers suggested that the rapper was just leasing the Lambo and didn't actually purchase it herself, she posted her bank statement to show a cash withdrawal of more than $500K.

Several media outlets reported in mid-February 2018 that Cardi B was expected to pull in around $250K in club appearance fees while hosting various parties and events during NBA All-Star Weekend. According to TMZ, the rapper makes around $100K to perform and $60K for a "nightclub walk-through." In other words, she makes more cash to briefly attend a party than the average American makes in a year.

Mario Lopez took to Instagram on Oct. 10 to mark his 50th birthday by sharing a video of himself shirtless in a boxing gym: "I woke up 50 years old today — half a century, I can't believe it! I feel good, I guess — I don't know what 50 is supposed to feel like. All I know is it's a time to kind of pause and reflect on how I got here and what's to come. I'm just gonna keep trying to work hard, stay focused on doing the right thing and hopefully the right things will continue to happen," he said, adding that he was "feeling very blessed."

He went on to thank "all the people who helped me make it to this point."

"Hopefully we'll see you for another 50!" he concluded the brief clip.

He continued to reflect on his big day in the caption, writing, "The term 'milestone' implies that turning 50 is a turning point. Not just another year older — it's a year that holds significance for how you see the road ahead and the legacy you hope to leave behind. I feel very blessed and I don't take anything for granted… 5 decades down, 5 more to go."

He added hashtags for "just getting started" and "blessed."

Steve Burns — the original host of the beloved Nickelodeon show "Blue's Clues" — celebrates his 50th birthday on Oct. 9.

After launching the show 27 years ago in 1996, Steve — who earned a Daytime Emmy nod for his work on the children's television program — abruptly left in 2002.

Two decades later in 2022, he revealed what happened.

"I didn't know it yet, but I was the happiest depressed person in North America," he told Variety. "I was struggling with severe clinical depression the whole time I was on that show. It was my job to be utterly and completely full of joy and wonder at all times, and that became impossible."

Donovan Patton took over hosting duties until the first iteration of the show ended in 2006; Josh Dela Cruz became the host for a reboot, "Blue's Clues & You," that launched in 2019.

After leaving "Blue's Clues," Steve — who moved out of busy Brooklyn and now lives a quieter life in the Catskill mountains — made music, releasing a few albums as a solo artist and with his band. (A track from his 2003 album, "Songs for Dustmites," became the theme song for the CBS sitcom "Young Sheldon.")

Steve, who's long done voice work, has appeared on the reboot of the show that made him famous and in 2022 appeared alongside the show's other hosts in the movie "Blue's Big City Adventure."

Actress, activist and professional poker player Shannon Elizabeth — who after rising to fame in "American Pie" founded the Shannon Elizabeth Foundation to conserve the natural environment of endangered habitats and animals — turned 50 on Sept. 7.

She took to Instagram to reveal how she celebrated her big birthday: "Thank you for all the birthday wishes! My hubby is taking me off the grid now for a week deep in the bush in Botswana! So please forgive me if you don't hear from me… I'll be with the animals. Lots of love from AFRICA!" she captioned a slideshow of photos from Botswana.

It's hard to believe, but Shannon looks almost exactly the same 24 years after she played foreign exchange student Nadia for the first time (see for yourself here and on her Instagram page).

In February 2023, she revealed during an appearance on the "Inside of You With Michael Rosenbaum" podcast that she was only paid "a couple thousand" dollars for her work in the first "American Pie" movie but "didn't care" because "it was my first studio film," she explained.

But she repeatedly turned down offers to reprise her role in the 2001 sequel until producers upped her salary. "I walked away from a lot of offers many times," she said. "My lawyer and my manager and agent all thought I was crazy. They were pushing me to say yes. I just kept saying no. I don't know why — I guess I had a number in my head I felt like they should pay and I got them to that number. You get 15 minutes, so you gotta milk it."

Her last movie was 2020's "Playing With Beethoven" — she'll next appear on screen in 2023's "Alone Today" — but in recent months, she's been co-directing a docuseries about a blind black rhino named Munu who's been cared for by her foundation for wildlife conservation (which is rooted in the nonprofit dog and cat rescue group, Animal Avengers, that Shannon founded in 2001).

Country music singer Gretchen Wilson — who burst onto the scene with her Grammy-winning No. 1 hit "Redneck Woman" in 2004 — celebrated her 50th birthday on June 26.

Former "Good Morning America" host Amy Robach — who made headlines in recent months for allegedly having an affair with co-anchor T.J. Holmes and ending her marriage to "Melrose Place" actor Andrew Shue before losing her "GMA" job — turned 50 on Feb. 6.

A former NFL player on the run for weeks is captured, arrested after mom found dead in a creek

After nearly a month on the run following the death of his elderly mother, a former NFL player was arrested on a first-degree murder warrant after authorities captured him near the United States-Mexico border, CNN reported.

Sergio Brown was booked into a San Diego jail on Oct. 10 after re-entering the U.S. from Mexico. It's expected that he'll soon be transported to Illinois to face the murder charge.

On Sept. 16, 2023, the body of Myrtle Brown, 73, was found in a creek behind her Chicago-area home. The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office determined she died from injuries related to an assault, and the manner of death was ruled a homicide, CNN reported. Just before the discovery, Sergio Brown, Myrtle's son, disappeared.

"My brother Sergio is still missing. If anyone knows where he is, I want him to know that I love you and please come home," Nick Brown said on Instagram. "People, please don't approach the property, this is still an ongoing investigation by the Maywood Police Department. If you have any information on Sergio's whereabouts please send them to the Maywood Police Department."

Not long after Sergio Brown disappeared, he turned up in Mexico, where he was seen dancing and partying. According to reports, Mexican law enforcement officers located Sergio on Sept. 19 and kept tabs on him. After a murder warrant was issued, Mexican authorities stepped in and deported him back to the U.S.

Before authorities apprehended Sergio Brown, he recorded a bizarre video in which he called his mother's death "fake news" and rambled on about the FBI and being "kidnapped twice."

On Oct. 9, he took to X to share another odd message that failed to make much sense.

"This is all fake news. For tabloids. Fat Mexican men with petty money to trip up an airport," he wrote. "Don't worry we got the graffiti gang wonding the good vibes. The cartels are Flippin the rug over and lying duh lol."

Sergio Brown was a star defensive back at Notre Dame. Although he went undrafted, he signed a contract with the New England Patriots in 2010. He went on to play seven season in the NFL, suiting up for the Indianapolis Colts, the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Buffalo Bills.

Gwyneth Paltrow has finally found a way to make use of the gold Oscar statuette she won in 1999. "My doorstop," she jokes in a new Vogue "73 Questions" video. The moment comes as Gwyneth shows off her luxurious backyard in New York's Hamptons region. As the interviewer says, "and what a beautiful Academy Award," the camera pans down to the ground, where the award sits between a tile and the bottom of a garden gate, propping it open. "It works perfectly!" Gwyneth quips in the video.

A rep for Gwyneth assured Variety, "of course, it's a joke," and pointed to a recent New York Times interview in which she reportedly retrieved the statuette from a room in her home. But Gwyneth, who won the best actress Academy Award for her turn in "Shakespeare in Love" in 1999 at age 26, has said the Oscar makes her feel uncomfortable.

"For weeks after I won I kept it in storage… I won't even put it on the mantelpiece, the thing freaks me out," she said in 2005, according to CNN. "For some reason, I haven't been able to feel really good about it. I just feel sort of embarrassed and it brings up weird, traumatic feelings. It's associated with a tough time in my life."

Money ain't fallin' out of the sky

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson admits he "could have done better" when he and Oprah Winfrey asked fans to donate to their Maui wildfires relief fund over the summer. The stars kicked off their fundraising for the People's Fund of Maui by contributing $10 million combined to the cause. But their request for donations from the public sparked backlash on social media, where users griped about being asked for money by the likes of Oprah, who's estimated net worth is about $2.8 billion in 2023, according to Forbes, and The Rock, who's estimated to be worth about $800 million. Dwayne has also been named the world's highest-paid actor by Forbes.

"I get it and I completely understand, and I could have been better. And next time, I will be better," Dwayne said in a video posted to his Instagram on Monday, Oct. 9. "I understand money ain't falling out of the sky and it's not growing on trees. There's a lot of people out there who's living paycheck to paycheck. And I get it, and I know what that's like — I've lived paycheck to paycheck," he continued, adding that in a situation like that, "the last thing you want to hear … is someone asking you for money, especially when the person asking you for money" is wealthy.

"I've never launched a fund before. But I'm a quick study and lesson learned. So thank you," he said. Dwayne noted the funds he and Oprah have raised have started being distributed to those in need in Hawaii.

In his caption, the actor called the unified response to the tragedy "inspirational" and noted that he's "proud of our Polynesian people." He then thanked "everyone who has helped by sending resources, love and prayers to all people affected" by the disaster.

The wildfires began on Aug. 8 amid extremely dry conditions and nearby hurricane conditions. By the time the fires were under control, the historic Lahaina Town was essentially destroyed and at least 97 people had been killed, Hawaii Gov. Josh Greene announced on social media on Sept. 15.

Health update

The Boss is feeling more like a monster these days. Bruce Springsteen recently announced he was postponing his remaining 2023 concerts that "out of an abundance of caution" as he continues to battle peptic ulcer disease. Now, he's confirmed the condition is still causing serious pain. Bruce, 74, introduced himself as "your favorite rock star with a b**** of a bellyache" on his SiriusXM Radio show, "From My Home to Yours" on Monday, Oct. 10, People reported.

"Let me take a moment and thank my fans affected by our postponed shows for their understanding," the singer-songwriter continued. "I am deeply sorry but this belly thing, despite my ability to laugh at it, has been a monster and is still unfortunately rocking my internal world."

According to the Mayo Clinic, "Peptic ulcers occur when acid in the digestive tract eats away at the inner surface of the stomach or small intestine. The acid can create a painful open sore that may bleed." Symptoms often include "burning stomach pain" and can progress to vomiting, nausea, feeling faint and more.

Bruce initially postponed just his September shows, citing "the decision of his medical advisors" and vowing to return to the stage as soon as possible. But as September progressed with Bruce recovering "steadily," according to another social media update, he realized he needed to put work on hold while he seeks treatment. Bruce and the E Street Band are now slated to resume the tour in 2024.

Marriage questions

Adele's partner Rich Paul has finally addressed rumors the two are secretly married. In September, the singer referred to the high-power sports agent as "my husband" during a performance in Las Vegas. Neither Adele nor Rich have clarified their marital status since. Fast forward to Monday, Oct. 9, however, and the Klutch Sports Group CEO stopped by "CBS Mornings" to promote his new memoir, "Lucky Me." Anchor Gayle King asked about Adele and Rich said she's "been great," and "would agree that we definitely helped each other" on their respective paths to success.

"We're in a good space. Happy … She's superb," he added, according to People. Rich went on to say, "We've been great for each other," then told Gayle he didn't want to go into detail about their relationship because, "It's not for the media. It's not for paparazzi. It's for us."

Still, Gayle took a stab at getting some clarity on the marriage talk. "When I see her, should I say 'Hi, Mrs. Paul?,'" she asked.

Laughing, Rich replied, "You can say whatever you want," and left it at that. Rumors Adele and Rich had secretly tied the knot have surfaced a few times since they went public with their relationship in 2021. But the chatter went into overdrive after a fan in Vegas asked for Adele's hand in marriage from the audience. "You can't marry me," the Grammy winner told the fan in a video later posted to TikTok. "I'm straight, my love, and my husband's here tonight."

'Gremlin energy'

Lana Del Rey has some choice words for a Christian influencer on TikTok who claimed the singer invoked "demonic energy" that physically affected her audience. In a now-viral TikTok post excerpted by Stereogum, Traci Coston accused Lana of using witchcraft to call up "demons that will destroy your life" at a recent show in Mexico City. The post, which Traci captioned, "Demonic Energy Knocks Over Lana Del Rey Crowd 😲😵‍💫 #lanadelrey #witchcraft #demons #reels," includes a video of part of the show in which members of the audience tumbled to the ground as she sang "Pretty When I Cry."

"Lana Del Rey has been open about practicing witchcraft and, y'all, look what happened at one of her concerts. This stuff is so real," the influencer told followers. "Whatever witchcraft Lana Del Rey is doing, whatever spells she's putting on her music to make it attractive, those demons are being invited into the crowd and into you when you attend," Traci added.

A screenshot from Stereogum shows that before Traci turned off the comments to the post, Lana — who has been open about both her Christian upbringing and her interest in the occult — got her two cents in. "B**** I know the Bible verse for verse better than you do," Lana wrote. "PS you're giving off super gremlin energy. Not in a good way."

'Seinfeld' finale, take 2?

There could be happy "Seinfeld" news ahead for the many fans and critics who hated the way the long-running sitcom ended more than 25 years ago. During a standup performance in Boston on Saturday, Oct. 7, Jerry Seinfeld revealed he has "a little secret" related to the show's 1998 finale, which — spoiler alert! — saw Jerry, Elaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus), George (Jason Alexander) and Kramer (Michael Richards) thrown behind bars. And it sure sounds like a reunion is involved.

"Something is going to happen that has to do with that ending," Jerry teased the crowd after someone in the audience asked if he liked the way the series ended. "It hasn't happened yet," the comic continued in a video of the moment posted on X. "Just what you are thinking about, Larry [David] and I have also been thinking about. So, you'll see."

Jerry and Larry created "Seinfeld" together before Larry launched his own show, "Curb Your Enthusiasm." Since the "Seinfeld" cast reunited on multiple episodes of "Curb Your Enthusiasm" in 2009, the "Seinfeld" reunion Jerry was teasing could well be part of the upcoming season of "Curb," according to Variety. The outlet reports that as of Tuesday, Oct. 10, the new season has been filmed but no release date has been announced.

Kanye West, who's now legally known as Ye, is legally married to Bianca Censori after all.

That's according to DailyMail.com, which reported on Oct. 6 that the couple said "I do" in Palo Alto, California, on Dec. 20, 2022 — less than one month after the rapper and fashion designer finalized his divorce from Kim Kardashian.

DailyMail.com also shared new claims about the strict "rules" Ye allegedly imposes on Bianca.

Ye, 46, and Bianca, a 28-year-old architect for his Yeezy brand, were initially believed to have wed in a non-legally binding ceremony in January 2023. According to DailyMail.com, however, the two used a "confidential marriage license" for their 2022 nuptials as a means of affording themselves some more privacy.

As for the latest wild claims about Ye's relationship with Bianca, a source told DailyMail.com, "Kanye has a set of rules for Bianca, which includes never speak and wear what he wants her to wear. She is also required to eat certain food items and to work out even though Kanye doesn't work out."

Page Six later questioned some of those claims: "[Bianca] has a lot of say in what she wants to wear," designer Mowalola Ogunlesi, who worked with Ye on his Yeezy Gap line, told the outlet on Oct. 6. "Everything Bianca is wearing is really from her and Ye's brain."

Just 'OK'

Sorry, Swifties. Travis Kelce's mom is not jumping on the Taylor Swift superfan bandwagon just yet. Donna Kelce recently hung out with her son's famous new love interest as the pair cheered for Travis and his fellow Kansas City Chiefs together in suites at games in Kansas City, Missouri, and New York City. So when Donna stopped by the "Today" show on Friday, Oct. 6, to promote her new KIND bar collaboration, she was somewhat inundated with questions about Taylor. Let's just say she plays her Swiftie cards — if she has any — close to her chest.

At one point, a visibly enthralled Savannah Guthrie asked, "What was she like? So you got to know her a little bit, go to sit with her for a couple games? How was it?" Donna shook her head. "It was OK," she said of the 12-time Grammy winner's company.

"It's fairly new, so I don't like to talk about it," she said earlier in the show when pressed about Taylor. "It's just one of those things where, you know, obviously everybody saw me. I was in the boxes with her and it's just another thing that's amped up my life."

Later on, Hoda Kotb gave the whole Taylor line of questioning one more shot, asking point-blank if Travis and Taylor were actually an item. "I honestly can't tell you," Donna said. "It's just too new."

People magazine also grilled Donna a bit about you-know-who — specifically about Donna's hang with Taylor, Sophie Turner, Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman and other stars at a recent NYC game. Donna was similarly low-key: "I think with anybody, everyone is fans of certain people," she told the outlet on Friday. "I think right now I'm just in an alternate universe and I'm just allowed to be in it."

Elder abuse allegations

Bodybuilder-turned TV star Lou Ferrigno has reportedly accused his daughter and his wife's sister of "elder abuse" in a recently filed restraining order. On Oct. 5, The Blast reported that Lou's filing claims his daughter, Shanna, and his sister-in-law, Pam, have been taking advantage of his wife Carla's advanced state of dementia to coerce her into funneling money from her accounts into their possession. Carla (seen here with Lou and Shanna in 2006) suffers from Alzheimer's disease, according to a previous filing in which Lou moved to take over as sole trustee of the family's trust, given Carla's mental health issues.

"Carla was financially exploited into attempting to withdraw $500,000 even though she is medically determined unable to manage her affairs," court documents claim. "She has been isolated from her husband Lou, and has been unduly influenced into villainizing Lou and acting hostile towards Lou. These emotional and psychological tactics are elder abuse, harmful to Carla, and are probably progressing her already advanced dementia."

Lou's filing states Chase Bank contacted Lou when Shanna and Pam tried to have Carla withdraw the cash. "But Court relief is necessary to maintain the status quo and to prevent Shanna and Pam from absconding with $500,000, which would irreparably harm Carla if Lou has to then chase them to try to recover the money," the filing continues.

The documents go on to claim Shanna and Pam have been "badgering Carla with lies that Lou is trying to steal Carla's money (quite the opposite, Lou filed a Court Petition under Court supervision for authority to ensure the money is available for Carla's care)." According to the filing, Carla responded by acting "hostile" towards her husband of 43 years.

"Neither Shanna nor Pam have any legal authority to direct financial withdrawals on Carla's behalf. Thus, they must be restrained to prevent serious harm," the filing adds.

Lou and Shanna have also been fighting over control of Carla's increasingly unstable mental state, according to the court docs. "Shanna would direct Carla's doctors and caretakers, including changing caretakers or their shift times without Lou's authorization," Lou's lawyer claims.

Health concerns

On Friday, Oct. 6, Drake said he plans to shelve his music career indefinitely while he attends to a health problem. "I probably won't make music for a little bit," the Canadian rapper, 36, said on his SiriusXM show "Table For One," according to People magazine. "I got some other things I need to do for some other people that I made promises to, but I probably won't make music for a little bit. … I need to focus on my health first and foremost and I'll talk about that soon enough." Though he didn't go into much detail about his affliction, Drake said it was, "Nothing crazy but just I want people to be healthy in life and I've been having the craziest problems for years with my stomach." Reiterating that he wants to "get right" health-wise, he said he anticipated the music break would last for "maybe a year or something, or maybe a little longer."

Drake, who starred on "Degrassi: The Next Generation" before breaking into music with 2010's "Thank Me Later," just released his eighth studio album, "For All the Dogs."

Courtroom scare

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom's trial over a $15,000 mansion in Montecito, California, was interrupted this week when a woman barged into the Los Angeles courtroom twice. According to People, the woman seemed angry when she burst into the court on Thursday, Oct. 5. She was ordered to "calm down and leave," which she initially did. She then crashed the proceedings again, leaving one attorney "shaken," at which point deputies removed her, People reported. Meanwhile, everyone in the courtroom was told to remain inside while authorities ensured it was safe to enter and exit. The judge later disclosed the woman was angry about a different case he presided over.

Katy and Orlando, seen here at Wimbledon earlier this year, have been fighting over the ownership of the home they bought in 2020 ever since its original owner, Carl Westcott, changed his mind about the sale. Carl, 84, filed suit against the famous couple's business manager Bernie Gudvi to stop the deal from going through. Carl's lawyer claimed in opening statements that his client was suffering "post-operative delirium" when he approved the contract, having recently undergone spinal surgery while battling other mental health issues.

Katy countersued and is demanding ownership of the house, plus $2.7 million for a rental near and upkeep of the property, according to People. She's also asking for $2.6 million in damages. She's reportedly due to testify in court later this month.

Things are getting all too real for Tamra Judge. The "Real Housewives of Orange County" star has been hospitalized after suffering from severe stomach pain — and surgery is not out of the question.

On Monday, Oct. 9, the reality TV star took to her Instagram Story to share photos of herself in a hospital bed: "Praying I won't need surgery," she wrote across a selfie, adding that she'd been officially diagnosed with an "intestinal obstruction."

Although fans showered Tamra with support, many others claimed — without evidence — that her health problems stemmed from something else. Keep clicking to find out what…

Tamra Judge is dealing with an "intestinal obstruction" — which, according to Mayo Clinic, is "caused by a number of issues including abdominal adhesions, hernias and tumors."

Tamra apologized to her fans for missing her "Two Ts in a Pod" podcast with "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" alum Teddi Mellencamp over her health issues.

"I'm so sad @teddimellencamp I miss you so much," Tamra wrote on her Instagram Story.

Tamra Judge's husband, Eddie Judge, waited with her at the hospital as she received treatment for an "intestinal obstruction." The reality star took to her Instagram Story to share a video of her hubby pulling a funny face while massaging her socked feet. "Foot massages from @eddiejduge," she scrawled across the silly but sweet snap.

Some fans questioned whether or not Tamra Judge's health issues were caused by her suspected use of the controversial drug Ozempic. The reality TV star quickly shot down that rumor.

"These comments are disgusting! I've suffered from intestinal problems for years. I've had multiple surgeries in the past 12 years," she wrote on her Instagram Story. "Remember when you all made fun of me for not having a belly button. That was due to emergency life saving surgery. Part of my intestines were being strangled."

Stomach problems run in Tamra Judge's family — her grandmother died of "intestinal problems," she noted. Tamra also denied that she's ever used Ozempic, a diabetes drug that's become a popular weight-loss tool.

"I've never been on Ozempic and personally wouldn't use it for weight loss!" she insisted.

Prior to her hospitalization, Tamra Judge had been in Scotland filming the second season of the reality TV competition series "The Traitors."

Season 2 will premiere next year. Among the famous faces starring on "The Traitors" are reality TV veterans Larsa Pippen, Shereé Whitfield, Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peter Weber.

War broke out in Israel and Palestine on Oct. 7, 2023, after Hamas launched an attack against Israel — the most significant attack on the country in decades. Israel quickly retaliated, bombarding the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip with rockets.

CBS News reported that more than 1,500 people have died so far in the newest Israel-Palestine conflict, and the death toll is expected to rise significantly with thousands more injured. Among the dead are 260 people who were attacked while attending an all-night music festival in Israel.

As the fighting continued, many Hollywood stars and other notable names took to social media to share their thoughts.

Supermodel Gigi Hadid — who's half Palestinian — took to Instagram to share her feelings.

"My thoughts are with all those affected by this unjustifiable tragedy and every day that innocent lives are taken by this conflict — too many of which are children. I have deep empathy and heartbreak for the Palestinian struggle and life under occupation, it's a responsibility I hold daily. I also feel a responsibility to my Jewish friends to make it clear, as I have before: While I have hopes and dreams for Palestinians, none of them include the harm of a Jewish person," she wrote.

"The terrorizing of innocent people is not in alignment with & does not do any good for the 'Free Palestine' movement. The idea that it does has fueled a painful, decades-long cycle of back & forth retaliation (which no innocent civilian, Palestinian or Israeli, deserves to be a casualty of), and helps perpetuate the false idea Pro-Palestine = antisemitic," Gigi continued.

"If you are hurting as I share my condolences today with my loved ones, both Palestinian and Jewish, I'm sending you my love & strength — whoever and wherever you are. There are a lot of complex, personal, and valid feelings, but every human deserves basic rights, treatment, and security; no matter their nationality, religion, ethnicity, or where they were born," she shared before concluding her post.

"I know my words will never be enough to heal the deep wounds of so many, but I pray for the safety of innocent lives, always," Gigi wrote.

There were legitimate conversations surrounding whether or not Amber Heard should appear in the "Aquaman" sequel following her headline-making legal battle with ex-husband Johnny Depp, which left her reputation badly tarnished.

But former love Elon Musk wasn't about to stand for it.

"Musk had one of his litigators send a 'scorched-earth letter to Warner Bros. threatening to burn the house down' if the actress wasn't brought back for a sequel," a source familiar with the situation told Variety.

Ultimately, the studio "caved" and left Amber in the movie — albeit with a diminished role.

During her defamation trial with ex-husband Johnny Depp, Amber Heard said "Aquaman" producers didn't want to include her in the film's sequel because of her messy, headline-making divorce. However, DC boss Walter Hamada actually took the stand in court to argue that it was Amber's lack of chemistry with star Jason Momoa that led to her near-ouster.

"There was a concern that it took a lot of effort to get there [in the first film] and that would we be better off finding someone with more natural chemistry with Jason Momoa and move forward that way," Walter said.

Variety reported that Amber had tension with Jason and "Aquaman" director James Wan.

Elon Musk and Amber Heard dated off and on from 2016 to 2018, but they actually met several years earlier — before her 15-month marriage to Johnny Depp. At one point, the "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor reportedly suspected that Elon and Amber were having an affair. There was even suspicion that the duo were involved in a "throuple" with model Cara Delevingne.

Amber and the Tesla founder have long maintained that they didn't begin dating until after she split from Johnny.

"Cara and I are friends, but we've never been intimate. She would confirm this," Elon told Page Six in 2020. "Also, I wish to confirm again that Amber and I only started going out about a month after her divorce filing. I don't think I was ever even in the vicinity of Amber during their marriage!"

Back in 2017, Elon Musk spoke to Rolling Stone about Amber Heard: "I was really in love, and it hurt bad. Well, she broke up with me more than I broke up with her," he said, adding that he was in "severe emotional pain" following the split.

Elon Musk's biographer, Walter Isaacson, said the billionaire was distraught after his breakup from Amber.

"Part of the theme of this life is this person is attracted to drama and storm. When things are calm, he surges — he buys Twitter or whatever. So, this is true of the relationship with Amber. Nothing hurt him more than that relationship," Walter said on an episode of the "On With Kara Swisher" podcast. He later said, "She and Musk would stay up all night fighting, and then he would not be able to get up until the afternoon."

In Elon's biography, Amber said she loved the Tesla founder "very much" but added that "Elon loves fire and sometimes it burns him."

Playboy fires model who cracked jokes while sharing support for Hamas

Playboy fired creator Mia Khalifa — a former adult film actress — after she took to social media to publicly celebrate Hamas's Oct. 7 attack on Israel. So far, at least 1,500 people have died as a result of the conflict between Israel and Hamas, but Mia seemed to make light of the situation.

"I can't believe the Zionist apartheid regime is being brought down by guerrilla fighters in fake Gucci shirts," she wrote on X. "The biopics of these moments better reflect that."

Playboy acted swiftly to cut ties with her as she shared more tweets supporting the Hamas attacks.

Earlier this year, Playboy launched Centerfold — a subscription service inspired by OnlyFans — that allows individual creators to charge a monthly subscription fee for their content. Mia Khalifa took advantage of that opportunity and began making content for Centerfold.

That all came to a crashing halt after Mia shared pro-Hamas messages on X on Oct. 7.

"We are writing today to let you know of our decision to terminate Playboy's relationship with Mia Khalifa, including deleting Mia's Playboy channel on our creator platform," Playboy said in a statement. "Over the past few days, Mia has made disgusting and reprehensible comments celebrating Hamas's attacks on Israel and the murder of innocent men, women and children. At Playboy, we encourage free expression and constructive political debate, but we have a zero tolerance policy for hate speech. We expect Mia to understand that her words and actions have consequences."

Following the Hamas attacks on Israel — during which many innocent people were murdered, injured and kidnapped — Mia Khalifa asked for different angles of videos depicting the violence so she could have a better view of the carnage.

"Can someone please tell the freedom fighters in Palestine to flip their phones and film horizontal?" she wrote.

She also posted a photo of a pickup truck full of Hamas gunmen driving down the streets of Israel, which she described as a "Renaissance painting."

After a few days, Mia Khalifa seems to have toned down her rhetoric a tad: "I just want to make it clear that this statement in no way shape or form is enticing spread of violence, I specifically said freedom fighters because that's what the Palestinian citizens are… fighting for freedom every day," she wrote on X.

Ironically, when Mia joined the Centerfold platform, Playboy actually applauded her outspoken opinions.

"Mia's fearless, direct, thought-provoking and fun-loving approach to life and her career make her an important addition to our Centerfold community," Playboy CEO Ben Kohn said at the time.

Mia Khalifa — who has been banned from Lebanon, her home country — doesn't seem to be worried about her lost jobs.

"I'd say supporting Palestine has lost me business opportunities, but I'm more angry at myself for not checking whether or not I was entering into business with Zionists. My bad," she wrote.

After a company called Red Light Holland dropped her, she wrote, "That's the most press you'll ever get out of me for your s***** little company you quite literally couldn't pay me to post about it publicly before because I thought it was so bad it's FREE PALESTINE until Palestine is FREE."

Not only did Mia Khalifa blast companies for firing her but she also took aim at celebrities supporting Israel.

The model wrote of Jamie Lee Curtis's pro-Israel messages, "Decolonize that Oscar and give it back to its rightful owner: Angela Basset." (Earlier this year, Jamie won the Academy Award for best supporting actress for her work in "Everything Everywhere All at Once" over Angela, who was thought to be the favorite for the award for her performance in "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever," making Jamie's win a bit of an upset.)

The former adult film actress also slammed Kylie Jenner, who expressed her support for Israel. Although Kylie took down her messages, Mia wasn't going to let the reality TV star off the hook.

"If true journalism exists, the next person to talk to Kylie Jenner will ask for her opinion on geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and not break eye contact until she can string one coherent sentence together since she wants to take a stance to her 400M followers so badly," Mia wrote.

She later added, "If you see a celebrity supporting just TRUSTTTT it's the money that's talking- these people have no soul or opinions of their own or the ability for critical thinking and will do/say anything to appease their investors in their businesses."

The runway star has been spotted out with nine-time Oscar nominee Bradley Cooper, who's two decades her senior.

From dinner dates to an apparent weekend getaway, Gigi, 28 (who shares 3-year-old daughter Kai with ex-boyfriend Zayn Malik of One Direction fame), has been spending private time with Bradley, 48 (who shares 6-year-old daughter with model ex Irina Shayk).

"They are having fun," a source told People magazine after the pair were photographed together twice in early October.

Three days after they were spotted enjoying a date night at New York City's Via Carota restaurant, Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper were photographed arriving back in NYC together in his Mercedes-Benz SUV on Oct. 8 following what was reportedly a weekend getaway. (Page Six has photos.)

Gigi unloaded a Louis Vuitton duffel bag and a big Prada tote bag from the vehicle, while Bradley exited with a backpack and a duffel.

Instagram gossip site Deux Moi shared a tip claiming the pair spent the weekend at another celebrity friend's home. "Cooper and Hadid were in Watch Hill and stayed at Taylor Swift's house," read the post, referring to music star's place in Rhode Island, which is about a three-and-a-half hour drive from Manhattan, where both Gigi and Bradley live.

How it's going so far

After photos of Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper spending time together emerged in the media, a source told People magazine that the two stars are "having fun" together.

"She's independent, busy, and her days are filled with responsibilities so I don't see anything serious happening right away if at all," the source said, adding that Gigi might be open to more with the actor, director and screenwriter since she's "had sort of a crush on [Bradley] for a while."

Added the source, "[They have] things in common so it's possible to see it progress. It appears super-casual now, but they both have kids, big careers, busy lives and understand what life is like in these circles. It's cute… and there is an attraction."

Marston Hefner initially joined OnlyFans as a way to fund his collectibles hobby: He loves Pokemon cards, Beanie Babies, Legos, action figures, Funko Pop figures, toys, comic books and more.

"It is a long-term avenue for further financial security," he told Page Six in June 2023.

How his wife feels about his OnlyFans work

Marston Hefner, 33, told Page Six in a June 2023 interview that his wife, environmental project manager Anna Lambropoulos, 34, was "not crazy" about him working on OnlyFans and would prefer he didn't do it.

"But what's more important to her is me pursuing my dreams or my interests, taking risks," he said.

Anna has since told Page Six that her opinion has evolved and she's "a little bit more comfortable with it" now because she's "learned more about it and how it's going for him and how positive his fans are toward him on the platform," she said in September.

Page Six further reported that Anna supports her openly bisexual husband for "normalizing nudity" encouraging acceptance for "all different kinds of sexuality and orientations."

"Marston's also a really tall, thin guy. He's got his own unique body type, and he's comfortable showing it. I think those are all really great messages that Marston is promoting through doing OnlyFans," she said.

"We might have different perspectives on things, but we'll always kind of respect each other's perspectives," she added.

What he spends his OnlyFans earnings on

Marston Hefner's wife, Anna Lambropoulos, 34 – an environmental project manager he married in 2022 – was not happy when he told her he was spending $100,000 of his OnlyFans income on two Pokemon cards and a comic book.

"I'm like, 'You're lighting money on fire,'" she told Page Six in September 2023. "It kind of made me die inside. It's just so much money! I think it's a volatile investment. I think it's frivolous to spend money that way."

She was "very against" the idea when Marston (seen here in 2011) initially told her about his plans because she felt the money would be better spent going toward "buying a new house or renovations" or items for their current home. "So that's where I kind of get a little bit, you know, resentful," she said.

However, Marston convinced her to support his investment after he did some research and decided that three big purchases — a $40,000 "Disco" Holo Shadowless Charizard Pokemon card, a $10,000 CGC 2 "Disco" Holo Shadowless Blastoise Pokemon card and a $50,000 CGC 5.0 "Amazing Fantasy 15 Spider-Man" comic book — could likely be sold later for even more money.

A double standard

Marston Hefner says he's faced a "double standard in my family" since joining OnlyFans.

"You can be the CEO of the people getting naked. But don't be the person getting naked," he explained to The Messenger in August 2023.

"It's f****** bulls***. That upsets me," he said, "because I don't think that's right, the stigma of sex workers. You can pay sex workers but you can't f****** be one?"

Marston — who's seen here in 1998 with his later father, Hugh Hefner, mother Kimberley Conrad and younger brother Cooper Hefner (bottom left) — did not say which family members feel that way.

Facing criticism

Marston Hefner said he's found overwhelming support on the OnlyFans platform.

In August 2023, he spoke to The Messenger, explaining, "I'm not crazy about Instagram, but on OnlyFans, people are really friendly. They say they find me attractive, which is nice. They find my interests, my genuineness interesting. It's just a positive experience. And it sounds like it's not just my experience."

It's really only outside of the subscription site that people have been critical.

That, Marston told Page Six, has intensified since he and his wife welcomed their first child, son Forrest Glenn Hefner, in July 2023.

"People get upset that I'm a sex worker and a dad, which is like, I guess porn stars and people who pose nude can't be parents?" he mused. "So [parents] can watch sex workers and masturbate to them, but you're not allowed to be one and be a parent? It doesn't make sense."
