Tristan Thompson's team is demanding that an Instagram model stop speaking about an alleged fling she had with the NBA star, and a cease and desist letter has apparently been sent.
Back in April, while on the "No Jumper" podcast, Sydney Chase claimed that she hooked up with Khloe Kardashian's boyfriend earlier this year. On May 4, Tristan's attorney told Page Six that cease and desist letters were sent to both Sydney and "No Jumper" host Adam John Grandmaiso.
Sydney has apparently not responded to the legal letter, but she maintains that she never got one.
"I have not received a cease & desist from anyone," she wrote on her Instagram Story on May 4. "The articles are giving false information. Let this be a lesson to not let anyone no matter the money or fame they have, to shut you down or tarnish your name."
"No Jumper," meanwhile, removed the interview in question from social media after receiving the letter.
"Yeah, we got a cease and desist and deleted it," Adam told the New York Post's gossip section. "Honestly, I wouldn't have posted it in the first place if I knew it was going to mess up a relationship."
Since then, the video has been re-posted in an edited format.
"I try to avoid the 'exposing'-style interviews these days," Adam said.
During the initial April 22 interview, Sydney said of the Boston Celtics player, "He told me he was not in a relationship anymore, so I said OK. We talked, we hung out multiple times, we went out together, everything."
Sydney maintained that she knew who Tristan was and knew of his history with Khloe. She asserts that she asked him directly if he was single, and he responded, "Yes."
After news of the alleged tryst made headlines, Sydney doubled down on her claims and said Tristan reached out to her in the wake of the podcast interview. He also tried to contact her just a few weeks ago, she claims.
"Yes the Tristan rumors are true," she said on TikTok. "The last time we had contact — besides when he messaged me after finding out about the interview, it was the day after his daughter's birthday party [in mid-April]."
Tristan's team insists that there's no merit to Sydney's allegations and imply that she's simply trying to cash in on her newfound fame. In fact, she allegedly tried pitching a reality series to the Zeus Network that would feature Kardashian nemesis Blac Chyna, Page Six says.
Khloe seems to have been keeping tabs on the story, as well, as Sydney recently shared a screenshot that appears to show the "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star contacting her.
"Hey Sydney, this is Khloe…" the message began. The Instagram model, however, redacted the rest of the message. The screenshot also shows Khloe allegedly writing, "I would appreciate if our conversation can remain confidential [prayer hands emoji]."
