Shanna Moakler is very supportive of her ex's new relationship with Kourtney Kardashian.
Earlier this week, Travis Barker and Kourtney went Instagram official following weeks of speciation that they're an item. The pairing brings a smile to Shanna's face.
"He's my friend and co-parent, and I want him to be happy," she told a paparazzo, in a video obtained by Page Six, "and if being with her makes him happy, and she's happy, I'm happy for both of them honestly."
She quickly added, "He can handle that Kardashian drama."
Shanna and the Blink-182 drummer married in 2004 and even had an MTV reality show. The couple, however, divorced in 2008. They share 17-year-old son Landon and 15-year-old daughter Alabama.
Many wondered if Shanna was upset over Travis's new relationship, particularly after she "liked" an Instagram comment that shaded Kourtney. The former beauty queen said the "like" was done "in jest."
In January, multiple media outlets reported that longtime pals Kourtney and Travis had taken their relationship to the next level.
"They've been dating for about a month or two. They've been friends for a long time but it's turned romantic. … Travis has liked her for a while," said a People magazine source. Echoed an Us Weekly source, "Kourtney and Travis are officially a couple. They have been close friends for years and have been dating for a couple months. Travis is very smitten with Kourtney and has been for a while."
An "Entertainment Tonight" source had similar things to say.
"Kourtney and Travis have had a platonic relationship for years and they've been friends and family friends for a very long time, but recently something sparked and their relationship has turned romantic," the source said. "They live on the same block and things are super easy between them because they know each other so well and just click and get one another. Her kids and his kids get along so well too, which is a major plus for both of them."
