Steve Bannon continued to fuel the rumors that Donald Trump would try his best to remain in the Oval Office at the end of his second term."I'm a firm believer that President Trump will run and win again in 2028, so I've already endorsed President Trump," the former investment banker told Chris Cuomo. "A man like this comes along once every century if we're lucky. We've got him now. He's on fire and I'm a huge supporter. I want to see him again in 2028."

When Chris Cuomo asked Steve Bannon if he planned to help Donald Trump remain in power, he said, "We're working on it.""I think we'll have, I think we'll have a couple of alternatives," he explained of possible ways to bypass the Constitution. "Let's say that. We'll see, we'll see, we'll see what the definition of term limit is."

Steve Bannon emphasized how Donald Trump could pull off a third term after staging his major comeback by winning the 2024 election following his loss to President Joe Biden in 2020."We had to get organized and drive that victory and also start working on all the policies. What's called Project 2025 or the America First Policy Institute," the media executive said about how Republicans secured victory last year. "But all those different think tanks that started putting in the policies that you're seeing today in what we call 'flood the zone,' or 'Days of Thunder,' or however you want to describe it."

Despite Steve Bannon's confidence in Donald Trump, he admitted that the discussion of a third term is hasty. "But this is many years in the making, so we've had greater long shots than Trump 2028 and we've got a lot of stuff we're working on there," he explained. "We're not prepared to talk about it publicly, but in a couple of months, I think we will be."In January, Republican Representative Andy Ogles from Tennessee proposed an amendment to the Constitution to allow the businessman to remain president after 2028. However, Democrats have made it clear they will not allow that to happen.

Following the shocking move, Democratic Representative Dan Goldman put out a resolution emphasizing the lower chamber's support for the 22nd Amendment and not allowing Donald Trump to alter America's rules."Resolved, That the House of Representatives (1) reaffirms that the Twenty-second Amendment applies to two terms in the aggregate as President of the United States and (2) reaffirms that the Twenty-second Amendment prohibits President Trump from running for President for another term," the document stated.
