Ronnie Ortiz-Magro has found his happily-ever-after.
On June 21, the reality TV star confirmed on Instagram that he and girlfriend Saffire Matos are engaged. The "Jersey Shore" star posted a photo that showed his lady love's ring, which he presented to her during a beach engagement. The words "Marry me" also appeared in the sand next to a romantic champagne setup and private picnic.
"I love you," he captioned the image. "Thank you for sticking by my side through thick and thin! Til death do us part! #SheSaidYes."
People magazine said Ronnie popped the question on June 19 in front of his 3-year-old daughter, Ariana, and his family.
"Ronnie has been taken this time to work on himself and his daughter," a source told the mag. "For him, he felt like this is right time. They're both really happy for this next chapter. His health and happiness are what is most important."
He and Saffire have been dating since last fall, and they've clearly overcome a lot. In April, the reality TV star was arrested after he and Saffire got into an argument that allegedly turned physical. She would go on to downplay the issue.
The engagement comes just as Ronnie's ex Jenn Harley deals with her own legal issues. Over the weekend, Jenn, who shares Ariana with Ron, was arrested in Las Vegas following a domestic incident with her boyfriend, Joseph Ambrosole.
TMZ said the two got into an argument at a gentlemen's club and they were asked to leave. The fight allegedly continued during the car ride home and she reportedly threw his phone out the window. When he got out of the car to retrieve it, she took off and left him to fend for himself. Once he got to back to her home, Jenn allegedly pointed a gun at Joseph and threatened to kill him.
Jenn soon fled the scene, but cops eventually tracked her down and arrested her for domestic violence and assault with a deadly weapon.
