Rebel Wilson is ready to find her person… and chances are, her yet-to-be-determined boyfriend is English.
The actress spoke to The Sun recently about her love life and the London home she recently purchased.
"I love England. I've bought a place in London so I'm sure I'll be spending a lot more time there in future," she said. "I am someone who is established in my career so is definitely on the hunt for love – but it has to be the right person."
Rebel, 41, dated Jacob Busch for about a year, but the duo split in February.
"I give it a go, I put myself out there. I've definitely been trying to open my heart and find someone amazing," she said. "I've definitely found some amazing people, it just hasn't been totally right. I'm still on the hunt."
The "Pitch Perfect" star said she prefers to meet someone organically, not digitally.
"Don't ever DM me, guys, if you're not someone I follow, because I won't read it," she said. "It's just like opening a gate to things that you don't know… There could be anything in those DMs."
The "Pitch Perfect" star said she's gotten everything from mean-spirited messages to pornographic material sent to her. That played into her decision to stop looking at messages.
"I tend to just not look at it because as a human being you get a bit sad if someone writes something mean about you," she said. "Randoms on the internet don't really know you so you shouldn't get offended about what they might say."
It should be noted that any future mate of Rebel's should probably be open to children. In a recent Instagram Live video, Rebel, who has shed 65 pounds this year, said she decided to get healthier in hopes of starting a family.
"It first started when I was looking into fertility stuff and the doctor was like, 'Well, you'd have a much better chance if you were healthier,'" she said, noting that she was offended at the initial comment. "I thought I was pretty healthy. That's, kind of, what started it, if I lost some excess weight, it would give me a better chance for freezing eggs and have the eggs be a better quality. At first, it wasn't even really [about] myself, it was more thinking of the future mini-me really."
