Duane "Dog the Bounty Hunter" Chapman has revealed that he fathered a secret child, a son, several decades ago.
Dog only recent met his son, who's now an adult.
Duane revealed his love child's existence on the anniversary of his late wife Beth Chapman's death.
"For the last four years, this day was a terrible reminder of one of the greatest losses of my life. But God redeemed this day when I discovered my son Jon, who I just met recently, was born on this day. So now instead of sorrow, this day has a new meaning," Dog wrote alongside a photo of Jon and his wife, Jodi.
Duane didn't get into specifics regarding his son's life or how he discovered he had a son, but he hinted that all will be told in his upcoming memoir "Nine Lives and Counting."
"For anyone who has suffered a terrible loss please know God restores and redeems," Dog wrote. "Happy birthday son, love you both."
The reality TV star now has 13 children including Jon from his numerous marriages and past relationships.
June 26 is clearly a bittersweet day for the "Dog's Most Wanted" star. While it marks his newfound son's birthday, it's also the day Beth passed after a long battle with throat cancer and lung cancer. Dog was with Beth when she died.
Duane, though, quickly found love again. Ten months after Beth died, he got engaged to Francie Frane. They married in September 2021. Still, the wedding was not without its drama, as two of Dog's children, Bonnie Chapman and Cecily Chapman, were left off the guest list.
Cecily initially theorized that she was an unwelcome addition to the wedding because she and her sister reminded Duane too much of Beth. However, Bonnie said the rift was actually based on her support of Black Lives Matter and racial equality.
Dog argued otherwise, saying the women were being "groomed" by unscrupulous people who have it out for him.
"Please pray for Bonnie and Cecily to be released from whatever hold these people have on them," he said in a statement at the time.
