Christmas came early for Bam Margera.
After years of substance abuse struggles, the former MTV prankster has gotten sober and has now been granted supervised visitation rights with his 5-year-old son, Phoenix. People magazine reported on Dec. 22 that Bam's ex-wife, Nicole "Nikki" Boyd, has agreed to give him "in-person supervised visitation" with their son in California.
Bam has been begging to see his son for months. During the summer, he had a public breakdown over their forced estrangement, memorably claiming he would either see his son or "smoke crack" until he died.

Bam Margera is barred from sharing photos of his reunion with his son on his social media accounts: "It is in the best interest that no images of the minor be posted on any social media platform," court documents assert.
The visits — which will be presided over by a "mutually agreed upon third party" — will last up to four hours a day on Saturday and Sunday with a seven-day advance notice, the documents state.

According to TMZ, Bam Margera got cleared to see his son, Phoenix, after he hit his fourth month of sobriety. The former reality TV star then made plans to travel to California to see his only child.
Before Bam sees his son, his ex-wife, Nikki Boyd, will provide him with a list of three potential visitation supervisors. He will then have 72 hours to select a supervisor to join him during his time with Phoenix.

Bam Margera's visitation news comes amid his recent engagement to his girlfriend of six months, Dannii Marie.
"We're just a really good team," he told Us Weekly of his fiancée on Dec. 20, revealing he popped the question in October. "I never had structure before. I always woke up not knowing what to do with the day. … I would just look across the street, see an Irish pub and be like, 'That looks like fun.'"
"Now I wake up, I walk the dogs, I stretch, I go to the gym, I go skateboarding. Everything's a structured fun schedule. And we do it together, and it's just a perfect thing," he added.

According to TMZ, Bam Margera has been living on a farm outside of Philadelphia with his fiancée, Dannii Marie.
Despite friends and family imploring him to ditch the bottle for years, this is reportedly the first time Bam has actually wanted to get sober himself and hasn't felt like he was being forced to get clean through an intervention.
