Kelly took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to tell fans that her podcast isn't owned by Fox.
"Look at this misleading BS," she penned. "No one has acquired my show's 'home.' The 3d party firm that sells my ADS has been acquired. Thats all."
"The @MegynKellyShow Is NOT controlled or owned by anyone other than ME," she explained.

Reuters reported on Fox Corporation's recent purchase of Red Seat Ventures, a media company that works with a variety of conservative talent.
The outlet claimed Kelly, Tucker Carlson and more were "back in the Murdoch fold" after the acquisition of Red Seat.

Kelly later doubled down on her business not being a part of Fox.
"NO, it doesn't. We are 100% INDEPENDENT," she replied on X after seeing the reports. "Fox bought the co that sells our ads, period."

The acquisition of Red Seat Ventures highlights the shift in the industry.
"The creator economy is one of the fastest growing media categories worldwide by measure of reach and influence, and consumers are increasingly looking to get their information, insights, and entertainment directly from the voices and brands they trust across these platforms," Tubi CEO and Red Seat chairman Paul Cheesbrough said in a statement.

When Kelly first launched her audio program, she was excited about the creative freedom she earned.
"My deal with Sirius is, I can talk about whatever I want. I touch third rails for a living, by design. I'm not built that way: to avoid these things," Kelly told People in 2021. "I want the fight. I enjoy discussion, fierce discussion and debate. I can't imagine giving that up again."

Kelly left Fox in 2017 after her public feud with Donald Trump, but she's since found her place within the podcast world.
"I'm one of the only journalists, as opposed to pundits, creating a big space in podcasting. And that's unusual. I'm putting in all the time I would for a TV show here. I don't just read Twitter. I have a team of fact checkers," she shared.
