"Got the chance to fly a C-130 out of our U.S. Coast Guard base in Kodiak, Alaska," Kristi Noem told X followers on Monday, March 17."Air Station Kodiak is essential to our mission success for reconnaissance and search & rescue in Alaska and the Arctic," she added.

Aside from flying planes, Kristi Noem revealed she participated in a "counter-terrorism" exercise with the coastguard and met with dogs tasked with finding illegal substances."Our CBP K-9s are on the front lines of finding deadly drugs, smuggled humans, and keeping our law enforcement safe," Noem announced.

While X accounts continue to discuss Kristi Noem's public approach to removing migrants from the country, Homeland Security spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin clarified what her bosses envision for the future."President [Donald] Trump and Secretary Noem have a clear message for those in our country illegally: leave now. If you leave now, you may have the opportunity to return and enjoy our freedom and live the American dream," McLaughlin said in a statement.
