More than five years after the death of her husband, Kathie Lee Gifford is dating a new man.
While appearing on "Today," the TV legend said she's in a "really special relationship with somebody that is nice and fun and healthy."
Kathie didn't reveal the name of her new beau.
"It's just happy, and I don't want to mess it up, and I probably already have by just even mentioning it," she joked to her former colleagues. "To be in a place where you feel like every aspect of your life is good, that nothing's missing, that's a beautiful place to be. I'm just so grateful."
She later gave a few more details about her love life while speaking to Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager.
"He's the smartest person I've ever met, and he's funny," Kathie Lee said. "We have a great time together, and so, at this point in my life, that's exactly what I need and exactly what I want, you know? Different seasons of life — we weren't meant to know each other before, it's right now. We don't know what the future holds at all, but we're having fun today."
Kathie was married to Frank Gifford for nearly three decades before he unexpectedly passed in 2015. She has since dated casually, but hasn't found love since Frank… until now, perhaps.
"I think I dated four different gentlemen, and they're all great guys, but they're not the guy for me," she told Page Six in 2020. "If I fall in love again, it will be because God just made it happen."
When asked about the kind of man she'd be interested in, she told Prevention magazine last year, "[Age] matters for me now, because I do the math for the first time in my life. I'm really aware that time is precious and finite and that I'm going to run out of time for some of the big things I want to do."
