"Jersey Shore" star Ronnie Ortiz-Magro was arrested following an alleged domestic incident, and the incident could have lasting ramifications.
TMZ reported that the reality TV star was arrested in Los Angeles on April 22 for felony domestic violence, but the victim in the case hasn't been named publicly. But, the webloid noted that the incident didn't involve ex Jen Harley, as she was at her home in Las Vegas. What is troubling, though, is that Ronnie and Jen's daughter, Ariana, was reportedly under his care when the incident took place.
Ariana is now with Ronnie's brother, but Jen is said to be en route to L.A. to pick her up.
The new incident could very well be damning for Ronnie, as he is currently on probation for a domestic violence incident in L.A. involving his ex Jen Harley, whom he shares a daughter with. In that 2019 incident, Ronnie allegedly chased Jen with a knife during a moment of rage and allegedly threatened to kill her. At some point, police said he took their then-1-year-old daughter, Ariana, away from Jen and locked himself in a house they'd rented. Police eventually broke down the door, tased Ronnie and handcuffed him.
Ronnie struck a plea deal last year in the 2019 case, and he was given 36 months of probation, 30 days of community labor and he was required to give a $20,000 donation to a battered women's shelter in L.A. As part of the plea deal, he also had to keep his nose clean. This is where the new arrest could spell doom.
Ronnie has been dating Saffire Matos, a New York-based eyelash technician. He went Instagram official with her last fall.
Upon hearing of the new arrest, Ronnie's lawyer told TMZ, "We have just learned of the new allegations against Ronnie and need some additional time to further investigate. As such, we will not be making any other statements at this time."
