Jennifer Garner just gave us the home quarantine video we didn't know we needed.
On May 18, the actress posted a hilarious clip of herself doing all sorts of low-key bonkers things inside her laundry room which, just like so many others people's laundry spaces, is overflowing with mountains of clothes.
"I don't know why I thought you needed this. 🤷🏻♀️🧺 🍷 🐈 👵🏼🙈😬♥️," she captioned the video, which is set to the track "Think About Things" by Icelandic singer Daði Freyr and his band Gagnamagnið.
The clip — Jen's take on an internet meme that's been making the rounds — starts with the mother of three simply starting to sort items from the mountain of laundry on the island in her enormous laundry room as the song's keyboards set things up. As soon as the drums and bass guitar kick in, she starts basic knee-bend dancing — bopping up and down while standing on the floor, standing on a counter, holding a laundry basket, wearing different cloth masks and kneeling next to the swirling washing machine.
Then her cat shows up. Jen moves to the island and continues her bopping while lying atop a pile of laundry then stands up, changes her shirt a few times, holds her cat and somehow doesn't laugh when the feline jumps from her arms … only to have its escape thwarted by a slippery pile of laundry on the counter that sends it falling to the floor — a moment worthy of inclusion in any YouTube stunt cat video compilation. Jen also clutches toilet paper, drinks wine in her pajamas and slow-twirls in victory.
The 28-second video racked up more than 4.1 million views in a day as well as nearly 31,000 comments — including from fellow celebrities like Ariana Grande, who told Jen, "u make me smile."
Buddy Reese Witherspoon commented, "I definitely needed this today," adding the 100% emoji, and Gwyneth Paltrow told Jen, "Oh my god you are funny."
Kimberly Williams-Paisley's favorite element? "The cat part!!!" she commented. Zachary Levi felt the same way, commenting, "THE CAAAT!!!" with a couple laughing-crying face emojis.
Candace Cameron Bure answered Jen's question with a simple "We did" need it, while actress Kaitlyn Dever wrote simply, "I love you," and tennis star Maria Sharapova told Jen, "Too good" with another laughing-crying emoji.
