Despite the supposed drama, a CNN representative told the outlet the journalist's project "only came together after" current President
Donald Trump defeated
Kamala Harris in the 2024 election. The company also insisted Tapper has "held those in power to account on both sides of the aisle for decades."

Democratic party has allegedly ignited fury within the staff at CNN. "He gaslit America for years and now he wants to cash in on the truth," a source claimed.
"Oh, now it's a cover-up? Weren't you just telling us everything was fine (before the election)?" the insider continued.
Another source added, "Tapper downplayed Biden's obvious struggles. And now he suddenly 'sees the light' when there's money to be made?"

Many people have questioned Jake Tapper's morality after he moderated the presidential
debate in June 2024, where Joe Biden majorly fumbled in his sparring against Donald Trump.
"Tapper was already writing his tell-all exposé," an insider alleged. "Was the debate influenced by Jake's financial stake in Biden's downfall? Did Jake help seal Biden's fate just to sell more books?"

Per the report, other people within the company are blaming Jake Tapper — who worked on the controversial book with
Axios correspondent
Alex Thompson — for contributing to Kamala Harris' loss to Donald Trump after Joe Biden
bowed out of the race in July 2024.
"Even after Biden was replaced by Kamala Harris, Tapper and Thompson needed the Democrats to lose for their book to stay relevant," a source said. "So he continued to prop up Biden even though he knew if he ran, he would lose. And if he stepped aside, it would be almost impossible for her to win either."
