"General Hospital" actress Haley Pullos is lucky to be alive after being involved in a head-on, wrong-way car crash that resulted in two vehicles — hers included — being mangled and totally destroyed. It also resulted in the soap star being arrested for DUI.
During the arrest, Haley reportedly became aggressive with authorities, even striking a firefighter while declaring the cost of her clothing.
Citing a police document of the April 29 crash, TMZ said Haley, who plays Molly Lansing-Davis in the daytime soap, was driving on the freeway in Pasadena, Calif., when she "swerved, flew over the dividing barrier, and into oncoming traffic." She then "ended up colliding head-on with another car that was going about 60 mph."
In the wreckage, Haley was reportedly trapped in the car, forcing firefighters to extricate her. Once the actress was put in an ambulance, she allegedly became agitated with a medic assessing her injuries. TMZ said she struck the medic and proclaimed, "This is a $400 f****** shirt!"
In a search of her car, marijuana products and tequila were found.
Haley, 24, was arrested for felony DUI after being transported to the hospital, but things continued to go downhill, as she "got aggressive and fought hospital staff," the report states. Haley was eventually sedated.
The driver of the other car was hospitalized with major injuries.
Haley made reference to her crash last week when indicating she would be taking a break from the long-running soap. However, her statement made no reference to the DUI or horrific nature of the crash.
"Unfortunately, I was involved in an automobile accident and I'm doing okay, but I am going to need a little time to recover. I will be back as soon as possible!" she said.
Haley joined "General Hospital" in 2009. She was even nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award in 2015.
