Elon Musk's business fails.
During the Tuesday, March 11, episode of
Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the late-night host
trolled the tech mogul for enacting mass layoffs of government employees, which led to his net worth taking a massive hit.

"He may have to fire himself. Things are going so poorly,"
Jimmy Kimmel jokingly told his audience about Elon Musk. "This is not a good time to own a
Tesla vehicle. There have been a lot of reports of angry Americans vandalizing Teslas, vandalizing charging stations, attacking the showroom."
The funnyman then pointed out how the X owner's companies have suffered so much that
Donald Trump had to step in. "President Trump today took it upon himself to announce he will be buying a Tesla, even though he's not allowed to drive a car," Kimmel added.

Jimmy Kimmel then called out Donald Trump for switching up his stance about eco-friendly
cars.
"He flip flops from zero to sixty in under five seconds. It's really a thing of beauty. What a twist. The guy who spent the entire campaign screaming about how awful electric cars are, is now buying an electric car!" the television personality quipped.

Jimmy Kimmel sarcastically said of Donald Trump.
Earlier that day, the
commander-in-chief took to his Truth Social account to vow to buy one of Elon Musk's vehicles as many have called for a boycott of the company.

"To Republicans, Conservatives and all great Americans, Elon Musk is 'putting it on the line' in order to help our Nation and he is doing a FANTASTIC JOB!" Donald Trump ranted in the social media post about Elon Musk.
"But the Radical Left Lunatics, as they often do, are trying to illegally and collusively boycott
Tesla, one of the World's great automakers and Elon's 'baby,' in order to attack and do harm to Elon and everything he stands for," he added.

Due to Elon Musk's dwindling Tesla sales, Donald Trump decided to purchase the car himself.
"They tried to do it to me at the 2024
Presidential Ballot Box, but how did that work out? In any event, I'm going to buy a brand new Tesla tomorrow morning as a show of confidence and support for Elon Musk, a truly great American," the Republican leader revealed.
