Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson's feud doesn't appear to be over, and it's causing one of them to literally chuckle.
While chatting with Men's Health recently, Vin said he had to give Dwayne "a lot of tough love" when he joined the "Fast & Furious" franchise.
"It was a tough character to embody, the Hobbs character," Vin told Men's Health. "My approach at the time was a lot of tough love to assist in getting that performance where it needed to be."
"As a producer to say, 'Okay, we're going to take Dwayne Johnson, who's associated with wrestling, and we're going to force this cinematic world, audience members, to regard his character as someone that they don't know' — Hobbs hits you like a ton of bricks," he said. "That's something that I'm proud of, that aesthetic. That took a lot of work. We had to get there and sometimes, at that time, I could give a lot of tough love. Not Felliniesque, but I would do anything I'd have to do in order to get performances in anything I'm producing."
The comments didn't go unnoticed. In a conversation with The Hollywood Reporter, Dwayne said he "laughed and I laughed hard" when he read Vin's words.
"I think everyone had a laugh at that. And I'll leave it at that," he said. "And that I've wished them well. I wish them well on 'Fast 9.' And I wish them the best of luck on 'Fast 10' and 'Fast 11' and the rest of the 'Fast & Furious' movies they do that will be without me."
Emily Blunt, who stars in "Jungle Cruise" alongside Dwayne, joked, "Just thank God he was there. Thank God. He carried you through that."
The former wrestler said, "Felliniesque."
Vin and Dwayne have not quite seen eye to eye for years. In 2016, The Rock ripped an unknown "Fast & Furious" costar, and many felt he was speaking about Vin. In the "The Fate of the Furious," the men didn't film many scenes together, which all but confirmed the speculation.
Vin has tried to downplay the feud.
"I don't think the world really realizes how close we are, in a weird way," he told USA Today. "I think some things may be blown out of proportion. I don't think that was his intention. I know he appreciates how much I work this franchise. In my house, he's Uncle Dwayne."
So, many it's a family feud…
