Donald Trump's ties to tech billionaire Elon Musk have become a concern for many Democrats, as the Tesla CEO was given access to classified information due to running The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). .

In his Super Bowl interview, the reality star was asked about Musk's role within the government.
"I ran on this," Trump told Fox News' Bret Baier.
"Trust Elon? Oh, he's not gaining anything," Trump replied when discussing the tech tycoon's work. "In fact, how he can devote the time to it? He's so into it."

Before winning the presidency, Trump promised to dismantle various organizations — including the Department of Education.
"I'm going to tell him very soon, like maybe in 24 hours, to go check the Department of Education; he's going to find the same thing," Trump shared. "Then I'm going [to tell him] go to the military — let's check the military. We're going to find billions, hundreds of billions, of dollars of waste, fraud and abuse.
"People elected me on that," the president added.

Musk, who became a citizen in 2002, praised Trump's efforts.

Musk, who purchased X in 2022, used the app to clarify how committed the organization is to discovering mismanagement of government finances.

Musk's access to the public's private information has been greatly criticized, and several states have filed lawsuits to limit the South African businessman's privileges.

DOGE was implemented by the Trump administration to regulate government spending.
