Musk-Linked Official Resigns Amid Eugenics Scandal
Marko Elez, a 25-year-old engineer working for Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), resigned Thursday, February 6, following revelations about his alleged links to a secret social media account pushing racist and "eugenics-based ideologies."Elez had been granted access to the Treasury's highly classified payment system, which manages Social Security and tax distributions.
However, The Wall Street Journal uncovered posts from the now-deleted account @nullllptr that included statements such as, "You could not pay me to marry outside of my ethnicity" and "Normalize Indian hate," sparking intense scrutiny.

Shocking Social Media Posts Exposed
The @nullllptr account, allegedly linked to Elez, was rife with "xenophobic and extremist rhetoric."In reference to Indian software engineers and Musk's ongoing battle over H-1B visas, one post read, "99 percent of Indian H1Bs will be replaced by slightly smarter LLMs, they're going back don't worry guys."
The account also made inflammatory remarks about the Israel-Gaza conflict, stating, "I would not mind at all if Gaza and Israel were both wiped off the face of the Earth."
With pressure mounting, a Trump administration spokesperson, Karoline Leavitt, confirmed Elez's resignation but did not comment further.
Chaos and Conflict in Government Offices
Elez and other DOGE operatives reportedly left a trail of disruption as they forced their way into sensitive government departments, leading to physical altercations with security staff and shouting matches with longtime federal employees. The group, handpicked by Musk, was tasked with accelerating the administration's plan to slash federal inefficiencies, often clashing with senior officials in the process.
Their rapid access to classified government data has alarmed multiple federal agencies, leading to growing legal challenges.
Artificial Intelligence Now Deciding Federal Cuts
In an unprecedented move, The Washington Post reported that DOGE has been funneling sensitive government records — particularly from the Department of Education — into an artificial intelligence portal designed to determine which programs should be eliminated. This AI-driven decision-making process has raised alarms among lawmakers and unions, with critics calling it reckless and legally questionable.
Three federal employee unions have already filed lawsuits against the Trump administration, arguing that handing over sensitive records to Musk's operatives violates federal regulations.
Backlash Over Young, Inexperienced 'Whiz Kids'
As controversy swirls around DOGE, many have raised concerns over the extreme youth and inexperience of its members. Elez and his colleagues are all reportedly under the age of 26, with at least one staffer as young as 19.Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton took to social media to mock the administration's reliance on these young tech disruptors, tweeting, "Most of them aren't old enough to rent a car."
With Elez's departure, the future of Musk's federal efficiency overhaul remains uncertain as critics push for further investigations into DOGE's unchecked power.
