DMX is reportedly in "grave" condition after suffering a drug-triggered heart attack, according to a report.
TMZ said the rapper was rushed to a hospital in White Plains, New York, around 11 p.m. on April 2.
There is "some brain activity," a source told the webloid, but doctors have warned that he may not make it. He's in a "vegetative state," a second source said.
On the evening of April 3, DMX's rep issued a statement to TMZ, which hours earlier spoke to a family member who said the music stars' children were flying in to see him. "Last night Earl 'DMX' Simmons was rushed to the hospital after collapsing at home. At this time he remains in ICU in critical condition. Earl has been a warrior his entire life. This situation represents yet another road he must conquer," his rep began. "The Simmons Family appreciates the overwhelming outpouring of heartfelt love, encouragement, support and prayers for Earl. Earl is someone whose life and music have been a source of inspiration and strength to so many people around the world. It is reassuring to see his fans return that same passion and energy to him during his time of need."

The "Ruff Ryders Anthem" performer has long struggled with drugs. He last went to rehab in 2019. In the fall of that year, he was forced to cancel a series of concerts due to his stint. Over the years, he's failed multiple drug tests, several of which resulted in rehab visits. He's also been jailed in the past for drug-related offenses.
After leaving rehab in late 2019, DMX took to the stage at a Las Vegas nightclub. "When you fall down, get back up, everyone here has been through some [stuff] and you never know what God is willing to do for you until you need him to do something for you," he told the crowd.
Following news of his hospitalization, several notable celebrities took to Twitter to publicly encourage DMX.
Gabrielle Union tweeted, "Please pray, send healing energy, whatever positive vibes you can for #DMX." Missy Elliott wrote, "Prayers for DMX and his family."
