Britney Spears loves her boys. So to keep them safe, she readily agreed to self-quarantine at her Los Angeles-area home earlier this month following a trip to visit her family in Louisiana, a new report reveals.
Ex-husband Kevin Federline, 42, with whom Britney, 38, shares sons Sean Preston, 14, and Jayden James, 13, asked the pop star to do it to make sure she hadn't inadvertently been infected with the coronavirus, TMZ reports — and she was happy to comply.
As TMZ explains, "Britney returned to L.A. from a trip to see her family down in Louisiana at the end of April. When she got back, she wanted some QT with her sons, but Kevin insisted she quarantine for at least two weeks before seeing them."
The teenagers — who last appeared on Britney's Instagram page last summer — live primarily with Kevin, who also has four other kids: Kori, 17, and Kaleb, 15, with former fiancée Shar Jackson; and daughters Jordan, 8, and Peyton, 6, with current wife Victoria Prince. Kevin last shared a photo with all six of his offspring on Instagram in 2018.
Since Britney's emerged from her 14-day isolation, she's seen her boys — whom K-Fed has been homeschooling since California locked down in mid-March — twice now, according to TMZ, which further reports that each visit lasted a couple of hours.
Britney and Kevin reached a new custody agreement in September 2019 that changed their previous 50/50 arrangement. E! News reported that the exes' new plan gives Kevin custody 70% of the time while Britney has 30% unsupervised custodial rights.
"Kevin in no way wants to prevent the boys from having any unreasonable custodial contact with their mom," Kevin's attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, told E! at the time. "The boys love their mother but the existing [custody] arrangement, as reflected in the terms of the most recently entered order, are reflecting what Kevin believes is in the children's best interest."
Since returning home from Louisiana, Britney has been spending time with boyfriend Sam Asghari, 26, on her estate and doing plenty of dancing.
On May 23, she and the fitness model and trainer took to her Instagram page to share a clip of themselves showing off some moves to The Weeknd's "Blinding Lights." Britney bopped in sneakers, socks and a bikini while a shirtless Sam moved his pectoral muscles. "This is the only dance move I know," he quipped. Britney captioned the clip, "I know ….. high socks 🧦 I'm a nerd when I'm having the most fun 🌸😜🙊💋 !!!!!!! Happy Friday !!!!!!"
