Britney Spears has her fans worried because of her Instagram posts… or lack thereof.
Typically, the pop star is fairly active on social media, although she does often appear to repost the same pictures. Still, for two weeks Brit's Instagram has seen no action— no pictures, no videos, no Stories.
Her last activity was on Oct. 19, when she posted a picture while looking at the camera. The picture was very reminiscent of images she's posted before, right dow to the outfit.
"I've seen these clothes more than mine," one person commented.
Fans — many of whom already question the authenticity of the posts — don't know what to make of the lengthy radio silence.
"Britney Spears hasn't posted in 2 weeks, this isn't usual. I hope that she's okay and just taking a break," one person tweeted on Nov. 2.
A day prior, someone tweeted, "If britney doesn't post tomorrow… we should trend 'where is britney' because she usually would have posted by now so something is up."
Another said, "britney hasn't posted anything on instagram today. i am worried to say the least."
The non-activity comes while Britney continues to have her life guided by the conservatorship run by her father, Jamie Spears. During an Oct. 14, hearing, Britney, 38, was granted permission to add more lawyers to her team as she fights to remove her father from his role as the conservatorship's sole lead.
In his attorney's final attempt to block Britney's request to expand her team, a note was included (per ET) that claimed he's been in contact with Bessemer Trust Company — which Britney reportedly wants to take over as her sole conservator — in the hopes of agreeing on how the conservatorship will be structured going forward. It seems Jamie's open to sharing co-conservatorship duties with Bessemer Trust.
The conservatorship, which Jamie has run since 2008, has been the source of contention for years, especially among Britney's fans, some of whom believe she's being held against her will. The #FreeBritney movement has been gaining momentum lately.
Last year, the "Toxic" singer fanned the #FreeBritney flames when she told a judge that Jamie committed her to a mental health facility against her will and also forced her to take drugs.
There's no question that Britney's relationship with her father has frayed over the years. In fact, they've reportedly had virtually no contact since he was accused of putting his hands on her teenage son Sean in August 2019. Recently, Jamie publicly addressed the #FreeBritney movement for the first time, calling it "a joke."
