Britney Spears is working on herself while hanging out in Hawaii.
On June 28, the pop star's boyfriend, Sam Asghari, posted a video of the couple working out in the gym while they both flexed their muscles. He humorously referred to himself and Britney as "team flex." The Toxic singer reposted the video to her Instagram story, but noted that her treadmill session had a deeper impact.
"Mental and physical health comes before anything at this point !!!," she captioned the video alongside emojis of a sun and flexed bicep.
Around the same time, Britney also posted a video of her hanging out on the beach and looking out over the Pacific Ocean from her hotel room.
"I like the sound of the ocean at night and I like hearing people laughing from my balcony … there's a togetherness here and it's endless!!!," she wrote on Instagram.
She hinted that she plans to share more scenes from Maui.
"More to come … more to share … more to dream … more to hope for … and many more to pray for !!!! GOD BLESS YOU ALL !!!! Here's to Maui," she said.
The sun-soaked vacation comes a week after Britney pleaded with a court to end the conservatorship that's guided her life for 13 years. She alleged that the conservatorship, which is run by her father, Jamie Spears, is "abusive."
"I've lied and told the whole world I'm OK and I'm happy. It's a lie. I've been in denial. I've been in shock. I am traumatized. Fake it 'til you make it, but now I'm telling you the truth, OK? I'm not happy. I can't sleep. I'm depressed. I cry every day," she said. "I'm not here to be anyone's slave."
Her words were explosive, as she said she wanted to sue her family for not protecting her.
Britney also wants to have another child but can't because of the conservatorship.
"I have an IUD in my body right now that won't let me have a baby and my conservators won't let me go to the doctor to take it out," she said. "I feel ganged up on. I feel bullied and I feel left out and alone… I just want my life back."
