"In sum, for young adult males, s———- has roughly doubled across all measures over the last ten years or so. For young adult females, it has risen by roughly 50 percent," the Institute of Family Studies (IFS) said of their findings.

Per the research, not many young people are hooking up for fun, as 24 percent of males ages 22-34 had not had s– in 2022-2023, which was up from 9 percent in 2013-15. For women, the number was 13 percent, up from 8 percent.

Upon being questioned about if they had engaged in intercourse with another person in the last three months, 35 percent of men said no. Females clocked in at 31 percent who had not, up from 21 percent.

Married people have more s–, and for most young adults, marriage is occurring later or not at all. As a result, s– is declining," the study clarified.

Findings also showed that people who fall into that age category live by themselves and without a large community.
