According to The Athletic's Diana Russini, the team leaders made it clear to Rodgers that he had to attend all mandatory practices and stop making media appearances during the season, especially regarding his political views and anti-vaccination beliefs.
"I was told that when they had conversations with Aaron Rodgers about what the future would look like, if you're going to be part of this team, you're going to attend all of training camp," she explained in the report.

"You're not going to do Pat McAfee interviews anymore," Russini added of the podcaster and Rodgers' numerous appearances on his show. "They had a conversation with him of, 'If you were to stay here, here is how we would want it to be.' So, this, to me, is Aaron Glenn getting control back."

Earlier this year, the A-lister opened up during one of his infamous podcast appearances about his standing with the New York Jets.
"I think everybody understands that it's going to come down to (the) GM and coach and myself and whether we all want to do a dance together — or if it's not in the cards," he added.

Rodgers maintained he had "limited communication" with people involved with the team.
"As far as my own decision, I told them I'm going to take some time," he noted. "They haven't even made a decision on the GM or a coach yet. Once that happens, then that'll take us to the next step, which is a conversation, I'm assuming, with whoever that individual is."
