Kerry Washington brought Olivia Pope — a fixer in Washington, D.C., who runs the successful crisis management firm Olivia Pope & Associates — to life on "Scandal." Despite helping others solve their problems for a living, her own personal life is a mess in large part thanks to her on-and-off affair with President Fitzgerald "Fitz" Thomas Grant III.

Audiences knew Kerry Washington well before "Scandal," but this addictive Shonda Rhimes drama took the actress's star power to the next level: She scored Primetime Emmy and Golden Globe nominations for her performance. After wrapping up the series in 2018, she did two episodes of another Shondaland series, "How To Get Away With Murder," and starred on the critically acclaimed Hulu series "Little Fires Everywhere" in 2020. Next up for the star? The Netflix film "The School for Good and Evil" alongside Charlize Theron. Off screen, Kerry is a proud mom of two. She shares a son and a daughter with Nnamdi Asomugha, whom she married in 2013.

Tony Goldwyn played President Fitz (Fitzgerald Thomas Grant III), the politician who strikes up an affair with Olivia Pope after she helps him with his presidential campaign.

After serving as a fictional president on "Scandal," Tony Goldwyn starred on Netflix's "Chambers" in 2019 and the Oscar-winning flick "King Richard" in 2021. Catch him next in 2022's "The People We Hate at the Wedding" with Ben Platt. Fitz lovers will be sad to hear that Tony's been married since 1987 to production designer Jane Musky. They share two children, daughters Anna and Tess.

One hitch in the Fitz and Olivia romance? Mellie… Fitz's wife. Bellamy Young played first lady Melody Grant, who also had her own political ambitions viewers watched play out throughout the series.

Bellamy Young has been busy post-"Scandal"! The actress followed the show up with a role in 2018's "A Wrinkle in Time" then starred on FOX's "Prodigal Son" from 2019 until 2021. She's currently back on ABC starring on "Promised Land," which debuted in January 2022. Unlike Mellie, Bellamy has been lucky in love — she's been dating musician Pedro Segundo since 2017.

Every good series needs a love triangle! Enter Jake Ballard, played by Scott Foley — a close friend of President Grant who served with him in the Navy. After being asked by the president to keep on eye on Olivia Pope, Jake ends up falling in love with the famous fixer.

If you didn't already fall in love with Scott Foley watching him on "Dawson's Creek" and "Felicity" in the late '90s and early '00s, Jake Ballard probably did the trick. Unfortunately for lovestruck fans, Scott is off the market. He married Polish actress Marika Dominczyk, with whom he shares daughter Malina and sons Keller and Konrad, back in 2006. Since leaving "Scandal," Scott's been unlucky on the small screen. In 2019, he starred on ABC's "Whiskey Cavalier," which lasted for only one season, and in 2021 starred on FOX's "The Big Leap," which was also canceled after one season. He'll next be seen in the film "The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry" alongside Kunal Nayyar, Lucy Hale and Christina Hendricks.

You might not have seen Katie Lowes lately, but you probably heard her! She lent her voice to "Ralph Breaks the Internet" in 2018 and "Vivo" in 2021. In 2022, she joined a few other former "Scandal" stars for Shonda Rhimes's Netflix project "Inventing Anna," on which she portrays real-life player Rachel DeLoache Williams. Katie is happily married to actor Adam Shapiro, who played her boyfriend on an episode of "Scandal." The two share a son and daughter, Albee and Vera.

Huck, portrayed by Guillermo Diaz, is a tech whiz at Olivia Pope and Associates. His dark past includes working as an assassin, becoming homeless and losing his family.

Guillermo Diaz has really been busy since hanging up his hat as Huck. On the movie front, he had a role in 2018's "Warning Shot" and will next appear in 2022's "Bros." In between that, his television appearances ranged from two episodes of "Broad City" and episodes of "RuPaul's Drag Race" and "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" in 2019 to stints on "I Know This Much Is True" and "United We Fall" in 2020. In 2021, the openly gay actor began a recurring role on "Law and Order: Organized Crime."

Abigail Whelan, better known as Abby, was a loyal worker at Olivia Pope and Associates who ends up moving on to work in the White House. She's portrayed by Darby Stanchfield on the series.

Darby Stanchfield has been starring on Netflix's "Locke & Key" since 2020. She also appeared in Disney+'s "Stargirl" in 2020. Despite trying to keep her personal life private, it was revealed during the height of the success of "Scandal" that Darby was actually a married woman and had tied the knot with businessman Joseph Mark Gallegos back in 2009.

"Scandal" centers not only around the staff of Olivia Pope and Associates but the White House too! Cyrus Beene, played masterfully by Jeff Perry, serves as President Grant's White House chief of staff.

Jeff Perry had a role in the 2018 film "Lizzie" opposite Kristen Stewart and Chloe Sevigny and the movie "Trial By Fire" with Laura Dern that same year. He also popped up on the podcast-based drama "Dirty John" and more recently he scored a role on Shondaland's Netflix series "Inventing Anna" in 2022. Off screen, Jeff's personal life also has a link to Shonda — he's married to "Grey's Anatomy" casting director Linda Lowy, with whom he shares daughter Leah. He's also dad to actress Zoe Perry with his first wife, actress Laurie Metcalf.

David Rosen starts out as an assistant U.S. attorney before eventually becoming the U.S. attorney general on "Scandal." Joshua Malina played the character, who gets romantically entangled with Abby.

He also had stints on the big screen in 2019's "Godzilla: King of the Monsters" and 2021's "Zack Snyder's Justice League," which is the director's cut of the 2017 blockbuster hit movie in which he plays Silas Stone. Joe shares kids Hopi, Seta and Ara with ex-wife Nora Chavooshian. He's been linked to Christine Lietz since at least 2013.
