We've rounded up a list of our favorite rockers of the 2000s to find out what they're up to — and what they look like — these days.

Creed's sophomore album, "Human Clay," debuted in 1999 and helped music fans enter a new century with hits like "Higher" and "With Arms Wide Open" — the latter of which won the band — fronted by Scott Stapp — a Grammy for best rock song. "Human Clay" became one of the most successful albums in U.S. history after selling 11.5 million copies domestically.

Scott Stapp stayed busy after Creed hit it big. He was also the singer in a band founded in 2011, Art of Anarchy, and put out three solo albums over the years.
In July 2023, Scott had a very exciting announcement for Creed fans: In 2024, the band will embark on the "Summer of '99" cruise where they'll perform alongside other rockers of the era like 3 Doors Down, Buckcherry, Tonic, Vertical Horizon and more.
In the mid-2010s, Scott made headlines after enduring a devastating breakdown as he struggled with drug abuse and bipolar disorder. Thankfully, he's recovered and is now healthy and sober. He's been married twice — first to Hillaree Burns, with whom he shares son Jagger. He then wed 2004's Miss New York USA Jaclyn Nesheiwat in 2006. They share a daughter and two sons.

Nickelback released their most recent album in 2022, "Get Rollin'," and were the subject of a documentary in 2023, "Hate to Love: Nickelback." Aside from continuing to work with his band, frontman Chad Kroeger has produced music for other artists like Default and Bo Bice and has ventured out to do some solo work. Most notably, he was featured on Santana's 2002 song "Why Don't You & I." He also lent his voice to the "Spider-Man" theme song, "Hero," that same year and collaborated with country crooner Travis Tritt in 2007. Chad's also carved out a successful career writing for other artists including Daughtry and Tim McGraw. He married fellow Canadian singer Avril Lavigne in 2013 after the two started working together on her fifth album. They split in 2015, and the singer has kept his private life quiet since then.

Fred Durst rose to fame with Limp Bizkit, the rock group that formed in 1994 and hit it big in 1999 with the release of their sophomore album, "Significant Other." In 2000 — the same year they were nominated for two Grammys — the success of tracks like "My Generation" and "Take a Look Around" (the theme song from "Mission: Impossible 2") off their third studio album took their careers to the next level.

After finding fame as a rap-rock music star, Fred Durst transitioned into acting and filmmaking. He's stepped both in front of and behind the camera for various projects including the 2006 movie "Population 436," acting alongside Jeremy Sisto, and 2007's "The Education of Charlie Banks," which he directed. He also wrote, directed and produced the 2019 John Travolta thriller "The Fanatic."
Fred went on to work with other artists in different musical genres, appearing on an Insane Clown Posse cover album and collaborating with Lil Wayne, Birdman and Kevin Rudolf on the track "Champions" in 2012. Fred reunited with Limp Bizkit in 2009 and in 2011 released the album "Gold Cobra." In 2021, they released their most recent album, "Still Sucks." Limp Bizkit has continued to tour too.
Fred, who's been divorced three times, is a father of two: He had daughter Adriana with his first wife in 1990 and son Dallas with an ex girlfriend in 2001. In 2022, he married for the fourth time, tying the knot with a woman named Arles.

The Killers wrote some great 2000s rock songs that have endured including "Mr. Brightside," "Somebody Told Me" and "Smile Like You Mean It" — all of which were featured on their 2004 album, "Hot Fuss." It sold 7 million copies worldwide and received five Grammy nominations, making lead singer Brandon Flowers and the rest of the crew major players in the music business. The Killers' seventh and most recent album, "Pressure Machine," came out in 2021. In 2022, they released another single, "Boy," off an album expected to be released later in 2023. While continuing to make music with the band, frontman Brandon Flowers also made a name for himself outside of the group. He's released two solo albums in the last decade, "Flamingo" and "The Desired Effect," and has worked with artists like the late Avicii, New Order and Robbie Williams. The rocker has been married to Tana Mundkowsky since 2005. They live in Las Vegas with their three sons.

San Diego rock band blink-182 hit it big in the late '90s and saw their fame explode after they released 1999's "Enema of the State." Mark Hoppus never left blink-182, which in late 2022 announced that former singer-guitarist Tom DeLonge had joined the band, which then released their ninth studio album in October 2023, the same year they embarked on a world tour. While not performing with blink over the years, Mark produced music for band like New Found Glory and Motion City Soundtrack and dabbled in podcasting, a clothing line called Atticus and a shoe brand called Macbeth Footwear. He's been married to former MTV exec Skye Everly since 2000. The two share an adult son, Jack. In 2021, Mark revealed he was battling cancer — a type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma — and later that year announced that he was cancer free. Find out about the other guys next…

Guitarist-vocalist Tom DeLonge had a rocky road with blink-182 after they found mainstream success. He quit in 2005 and started the band Angels and Airwaves, though he later reunited with blink in 2009 and put another album out in 2011, "Neighborhoods." He then left again in 2015 and was replaced with Alkaline Trio's Matt Skiba. He eventually returned to the group in 2022.
He co-founded Atticus Clothing and Macbeth Footwear with bandmate Mark Hoppus and started a company called Modlife, which was intended to help musicians monetize their portfolios; Kanye West, the White Stripes and Pearl Jam were among the bands that took advantage of its services. Perhaps the most fascinating part of Tom's life outside of blink is his website Strange Times, an endeavor devoted to discussing the existence of extraterrestrial life and paranormal activity. That helped inspire his 2013 children's book, "The Lonely Astronaut on Christmas Eve."
He launched To The Stars Inc., which produced a series for the History Channel called "Unidentified: Inside America's UFO Investigation" in 2019. That same year, Tom filed to divorce Jennifer Jenkins, whom he wed in 2001. They share daughter Ava and son Jonas. In 2021, he revealed he married his girlfriend of about two years, Rose-Marie Berryman.

Drummer Travis Barker played with blink-182 on and off over the years. His near-death experience in a 2008 plane crash sparked the group's 2009 reunion. Travis also produced music for other groups and even released a solo album, "Give the Drummer Some," in 2011 that featured Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Pharrell, Snoop Dogg and Kid Cudi, among other big names. Like his bandmates, he also started a clothing company, Famous Stars and Straps, and launched his own label, a division of Atlantic Records called LaSalle Records.
Travis had a quick marriage to Melissa Kennedy in 2002 (it lasted nine months) before moving on with Miss USA 1995 Shanna Moakler, whom he married in 2004. They had two kids: son Landon and daughter Alabama. The couple famously starred on a reality show, MTV's "Meet the Barkers," that ran from 2005 to 2006. The same year their show ended, Travis filed for divorce, but the couple reunited in 2007 before ultimately finalizing their split in 2008. Travis and Shanna reunited again in 2009 for the final time before going their separate ways. Travis was briefly romantically linked to pop star Rita Ora, but he's made far more headlines since he started seeing reality star Kourtney Kardashian in late 2020. The two married in 2022 and in 2023 welcomed son Rocky Thirteen Barker.

Papa Roach released the compilation album "20/20" in 2020 and their 11th studio album, "Ego Trip," in 2022. Aside from maintaining his role as lead singer, Jacoby Shaddix has diversified his career by hosting MTV's "Scarred" in 2007 and launching his own clothing line, Lovers Are Lunatics. He shares three sons — Makaile, Jagger and Brixton — with wife Kelly, whom he married in 1997. They live in Sacramento, California.

2003's "Transatlanticism" catapulted Death Cab for Cutie to mainstream success. The album, which was actually the group's fourth, was a commercial and critical success and its follow-up, 2005's "Plans," solidified their music-star status by going platinum and earning them a Grammy nomination for best alternative music album as well as a nod for best pop performance by a duo or group with vocals for "I Will Follow You Into the Dark." Death Cab for Cutie continues to put out new music. Their latest, "Asphalt Meadows," came out in 2022 and is their 10th studio album. Singer Ben Gibbard released a solo album, "Former Lives," in 2012 and has dabbled in acting, enjoying a small role in 2009's "Brief Interviews with Hideous Men" alongside John Krasinski. He kept busy at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic by livestreaming concerts from his home. He was married to actress-singer Zooey Deschanel from 2009 to 2011. He married Rachel Demy, a photographer and tour manager, in 2016.

"All Killer No Filler" hit record store shelves in 2001. The debut album from Canadian pop-rock band Sum 41 included songs like "Fat Lip," "In Too Deep" and "Motivation" — all of which received major airplay as the album made its way to platinum-selling status in the States. The group announced their March 2024 double album "Heaven :x: Hell" will be their last. A tour that stretches through 2024 will also be their last, culminating in their final performance as a band in Toronto in January 2025.
Frontman Deryck Whibley has worked with other artists over the years — he played guitar and sang backing vocals on Tommy Lee's "Tommyland: The Ride" and Iggy Pop's "A Million in Prizes: The Anthology," both in 2005. In 2007, he produced "The Best Damn Thing" for then-wife Avril Lavigne and more recently co-wrote songs for 5 Seconds of Summer. Deryck and Avril split in 2009. He's been married to model Ariana Cooper — with whom he welcomed son Lydon Igby in 2020 and daughter Quentin Arlo in 2023 — since 2015.

Benji Madden and Joel Madden still work side by side in Good Charlotte, which released another album, "Generation Rx," in 2018. They also formed the pop-rock group The Madden Brothers in 2011 and released the single "We Are Done" in 2014. The twins started their own music company, MDDN, and served as coaches on "The Voice Australia" and "The Voice Kids Australia." They even launched an apparel line, MADE Clothing (later called DCMA Collective), with brother Josh. Benji's also written for other artists like Hilary Duff and 5 Seconds of Summer.
