After 13 seasons, "Supernatural" is still a can't-miss show for so many of us. While Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles might be the stars of the CW series, it's often the women who are the ultimate scene-stealers, leaving us wanting more even after they're long gone. In honor of the mid-season premiere on Jan. 18, 2018, Wonderwall.com is looking at 22 of the greatest ladies of "Supernatural" and why we love them… starting with Rachel Miner, who played Meg Masters on seasons 5 through 8. We love Meg because even though she's a demon who tried to kill off our beloved Dean, she's amusingly evil and fiery as anything. Plus we love that she sort of became slightly less evil toward the end, leaving us truly sad when she was killed off at the end of the eighth season.

Claire Novak, played by Kathryn Newton, won fans over with her fierce independence — a product of her family being attacked by demons and her being the lone survivor. She also became relatable when she admitted she was barely keeping it together. While she might think that, we were impressed by her confidence and ability to make it through so many major challenges in her life.

Jody Mills, played by Kim Rhodes, is an ally of Sam and Dean's, so she's hard not to love. The motherly sheriff, who has appeared in every season since Season 5, generously adopted Claire and Alex Jones and is a positive — albeit strict — influence on both girls. Jody is the perfect balance of tough but loving.
Donna Hanscum, played by Briana Buckmaster, is a character we could never get enough of, which is why we're super-excited that she'll be on "Wayward Sisters." But we started loving the sheriff on "Supernatural" when she first appeared during Season 9 because of her spa trip to lose weight (resulting in a Pishtaco sucking 10 pounds out!). Eventually, she became so much more than that, winning us over as she learned to stand up to her nasty ex-husband and as she became an official hunter.
Charlie Bradbury, played by Felicia Day, might be dead on the show, but not in our hearts. The hacker-turned-hunter, who appeared on seasons 7 through 10, had a sweet brother/sister-like relationship with Sam and Dean and was a proud geek — a most endearing quality. I mean, how can you not love a girl who drunkenly got a Princess Leia tattoo?
Rowena MacLeod, played by Ruth Connell, is evil, but she's such an interesting character that you can't help but be intrigued by her intelligence and manipulations. She is selfish and ambitious but can be the sweetest witch when she wants something. Maybe we like her so much because we're so jealous of her abilities?
Mary Winchester, played by Samantha Smith, is Sam and Dean's mom and there is just something so cool about the family being reunited. After years of her being dead, Mary, the matriarchal hunter in the family, was resurrected as a favor to Dean, who had reunited God and the Darkness. She is extremely protective over Sam and Dean, and while she was originally disappointed that they'd followed in her footsteps and became hunters, she learned to accept it and work with them in the family biz.
In Season 3, Katie Cassidy played Ruby, a demon who was devoted to Lucifer's return. Katie portrayed Ruby as a tough girl who loved to stir up trouble, though she lacked a moral conscience. While that maybe wouldn't make for a great real-life BFF, it made for some great TV and fans were disappointed when she departed the show.
In Season 4, Genevieve Cortese Padalecki took over the role of Ruby (and met Jared Padalecki, who later became her husband) and softened her to be a bit more human-like and innocent. That year, we got to see a budding romance between Ruby and Sam that we wanted to root for, wanting to believe that Ruby really did care for him and wasn't the traitor that she showed herself to be. At least we know that in real life, Genevieve and Jared certainly care for one another!
Bela Talbot, played by Lauren Cohan, appeared on the third season. While Bela was certainly not a good person, stealing occult objects to sell and always using her knowledge of the supernatural world to her own advantage, she makes the list because she represented a fascinating foil for Sam and Dean.
Jessica Moore, played by Adrianne Palicki, perhaps made this list just because we're so jealous of anyone who gets to date Sam. Jessica, who appeared in seasons 1, 2 and 5, always wanted what was best for Sam (who never revealed his family's secret to her), and that's something any fan can get behind.
Tessa, played by Lindsey McKeon, appeared intermittently throughout the first nine seasons. As a reaper, Tessa has some of the coolest and most enviable skills including flight, telekinesis and invisibility. Since she died in Season 9, we've been wondering if she would come back… since she is such good friends with Death and all, it doesn't seem impossible and it would be fantastic to see her with Dean once again.
Ellen Harvelle, played by Samantha Ferris, is the cool owner of Harvelle's Roadhouse and a retired hunter. After seeing so many male hunter relationships, Ellen brought a refreshing twist as we got to witness a mother-daughter dynamic between her and daughter Jo, played by actress Alona Tal.
Jo Harvelle, played by Alona Tal, is Ellen's daughter and a fellow hunter. Wanting to follow in her family's footsteps, Jo was an interesting fighter, with her initial naivety. As time went on though, Jo finally became the tough chick we wanted her to be, acting as a leader shortly before her death in Season 5. Fortunately on this show, death isn't the end, and Jo briefly returned in Season 7 as a spirit.
Eileen Leahy, played by Shoshannah Stern, is an Irish hunter and ally of the Winchester family. Eileen, who appeared in seasons 11 and 12 before meeting her demise at the hand of Arthur's hellhound, overcame so much in her life, which was incredibly inspiring. She lost both her parents when she was very young, the hunter who raised her died when she was 16 and she was deaf. Yet despite these setbacks, she was an incredible hunter, confident and independent.
Amy Pond, played by Jewel Staite, had a long history with the brothers, as explored in Season 7. The Kitsune saved Sam as a child, killing her mother in order to do so. In their adulthood, Sam and Amy crossed paths again, as she had been on a killing quest in order to save her son, who was very sick. Sam didn't do anything to hurt Amy, but later, Dean killed her. While what Amy was doing was wrong — killing people so her son could feast on their brains — you've got to give her credit for being a mom who did what she needed to do to save her son.
Becky Rosen, played by Emily Perkins, was a fantasy character for all fans of the show. Becky, who appeared in seasons 5 and 7, was a fan of the "Supernatural" books and wrote fan fiction about the brothers. She had a serious crush on Sam and was even brazen enough to drug him in order to get him to briefly marry her — a both ballsy and enviable move.
Pamela Barnes, played by Traci Dinwiddie, appeared in seasons 4 and 5. The wildly knowledgeable psychic helped Sam and Dean whenever they needed her, even after Castile blinded her. With that level of dedication, it's hard not to respect her.
The Darkness, or Amara, played by Emily Swallow, is the most powerful entity in existence, and when choosing to take on human form, becomes a woman. Coincidence? We think not. Her powers are seemingly endless and the fact that she pre-dates both God and Death is incredibly cool.
Dr. Eleanor Visyak, played by Kim Johnston Ulrich, was a professor of medieval studies in San Francisco who knew all about the supernatural world. After 900 years of life, she was tortured to death by Castiel and Crowley, but before that, she was an extremely smart character who was pleasantly generous with her knowledge.
In the second half of Season 13, fans fully expect to fall in love with Sister Jo, a well-known faith healer. The best part of this upcoming character is that she's played by Dean's real-life wife, Danneel Ackles!
