"Twin Peaks" is finally back after more than 25 years off the air! In honor of the Showtime revival, which debuts on May 21, 2017, Wonderwall.com is taking a look back at what the stars of the cult classic ABC series have been up to. Kyle MacLachlan starred on "Twin Peaks" as eccentric FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper, who investigates the murder of high school student Laura Palmer.

Kyle MacLachlan, who's set to return to the "Twin Peaks" revival, went on to star in "Showgirls" in 1995. He then portrayed Charlotte's first husband, Trey, on "Sex and the City" from 2000 to 2002 and Bree's second husband, Orson, on "Desperate Housewives" from 2006 to 2012. Most recently, Kyle appeared on "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," voiced Riley's dad in "Inside Out" and portrayed the mayor on "Portlandia." He romanced "Twin Peaks" co-star Lara Flynn Boyle and then moved on with supermodel Linda Evangelista, to whom he was briefly engaged. After they called it quits in 1998 after six years together, he found love with publicist Desiree Gruber. They tied the knot in 2002 and welcomed their son, Callum, in 2008.
Sheryl Lee starred on "Twin Peaks" as murdered high school student Laura Palmer — and as Laura's look-alike cousin, Maddy Ferguson.
Sheryl Lee, who's set to return to the 2017 "Twin Peaks" revival, has continued to work as a television actress. Most notably, she appeared on "L.A. Doctors" from 1998 to 1999, on "One Tree Hill" from 2005 to 2006 and on "Dirty Sexy Money" from 2007 to 2009. She's also appeared in several buzzy independent films in recent years: 2010's "Winter's Bone," 2011's "Texas Killing Fields" and 2014's "White Bird in a Blizzard." Sheryl also had a role in Woody Allen's 2016 film "Café Society." She romanced "Twin Peaks" co-star David Duchovny and was briefly married to Neil Diamond's son Jesse Diamond, with whom she shares son Elijah.
Michael Ontkean starred on "Twin Peaks" as Sheriff Harry S. Truman, who teams up with FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper to investigate the murder of high school student Laura Palmer.
Michael Ontkean has worked less in film and on television than his "Twin Peaks" co-stars, though he did appear in the 2011 Oscar-nominated dramedy "The Descendants." Since then, he's reportedly quit acting — and even turned down the opportunity to reprise his role in the 2017 "Twin Peaks" revival. Michael (pictured back in 1989, the last time he was photographed publicly) reportedly lives in Hawaii with his wife, actress Jamie Smith Jackson, and their two children.
Lara Flynn Boyle starred on "Twin Peaks" as Laura Palmer's best friend, Donna Hayward.
Lara Flynn Boyle went on to score an Emmy nomination in 1999 for her work on "The Practice," on which she starred as Helen Gamble from 1997 to 2003. She also starred in "Wayne's World" and "Men in Black II" and appeared on "Las Vegas" from 2005 to 2006. (In recent years, though, Lara's career has been less noteworthy than the changes in her appearance.) After her relationship with "Twin Peaks" co-star Kyle MacLachlan came to an end, Lara moved on with John Patrick Dee III, her husband from 1996 to 1998. After that, she was linked to Harrison Ford before taking up with David Spade, whom she left for Jack Nicholson. Following her year-long romance with Jack, Lara stepped out with Eric Dane and Jaron Lowenstein of now-defunct pop duo Evan and Jaron. In late 2006, she wed commercial real estate broker Donald Ray Thomas.
Mädchen Amick starred as high school dropout and Double R Diner waitress Shelly Johnson on "Twin Peaks."
Mädchen Amick, who's set to return to the 2017 revival, has worked regularly on TV since the original "Twin Peaks" went off the air. She's had stints on "Dawson's Creek," "Gilmore Girls," "ER," "Joey," "Gossip Girl," "Californication," "Damages," "CSI: NY," "Longmire," "Witches of East End," "American Horror Story" and "Love." Most recently, she portrayed Alice Cooper on "Riverdale." Mädchen has been with her husband, songwriter-turned-personal trainer David Alexis, since 1987. They have two children who are both performers: son Sylvester raps under the name Sly Beetz and daughter Mina is an actress and singer.
Sherilyn Fenn starred as Ben Horne's trouble-making daughter, Audrey, who falls for FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper, on "Twin Peaks."
Sherilyn Fenn, who scored Emmy and Golden Globe nominations for her work on "Twin Peaks" and is set to return for the 2017 revival, went on to appear in "Diary of a Hitman," "Of Mice and Men," "Fatal Instinct" and "The United States of Leland." She also had stints on "Rude Awakening," "Dawson's Creek," "Boston Public," "Gilmore Girls," "Magic City," "Ray Donovan" and "Shameless." Sherilyn, who dated both Prince and Johnny Depp before her time on the original "Twin Peaks," was briefly married to musician Toulouse Holliday, with whom she shares son Myles, during the '90s. She has another son, Christian, from a subsequent relationship. In 2016, she released a children's book, "No Man's Land."
Ray Wise starred on "Twin Peaks" as Laura Palmer's father, attorney Leland Palmer.
Ray Wise, who's set to return to the 2017 "Twin Peaks" revival, still works regularly on television. Most notably, he's appeared on "24," "How I Met Your Mother," "Mad Men," "Agent Carter," "Fresh Off the Boat," "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life," "Fargo" and "The Young and the Restless," for which he earned the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Special Guest Performer in a Drama Series in 2015. He also appeared in 2005's "Good Night, and Good Luck.," 2011's "X-Men: First Class" and HBO's 2016 film "All the Way." He's been married to Kass McClaskey, with whom he shares son Gannon and daughter Kyna, since the '70s.
Peggy Lipton starred on "Twin Peaks" as former Miss Twin Peaks Norma Jennings, who owns the Double R Diner.
Peggy Lipton, who's set to return to the 2017 "Twin Peaks" revival, hasn't acted much since the early '90s, though she appeared on "Popular," "Alias" and "Crash." She also portrayed the mother of Kristen Bell's character in the 2010 comedy "When in Rome" and popped up in the scandal-plagued 2017 film "A Dog's Purpose." In 1986, four years before "Twin Peaks" debuted, Peggy split from music mogul husband Quincy Jones — with whom she shares two daughters, actresses Rashida Jones and Kidada Jones. In 2003, the singer-actress overcame colon cancer. Two years later, she released her memoir, "Breathing Out."
Joan Chen starred on "Twin Peaks" as widow Jocelyn "Josie" Packard, who inherits the Packard Mill from her late husband.
Joan Chen went on to direct the 2000 love story "Autumn in New York" starring Winona Ryder and Richard Gere. She also starred in Oliver Stone's "Heaven & Earth" in 1993, appeared in 1995's "Judge Dredd" and portrayed Empress Chabi on Netflix's "Marco Polo" from 2014 to 2016. In 1992, the Chinese actress wed her second husband, cardiologist Peter Hui, with whom she has two daughters, Angela and Audrey.
Piper Laurie starred on "Twin Peaks" as Catherine Martell, who runs the Packard Mill following the death of her brother.
Piper Laurie, who earned three Oscar nominations before she starred on "Twin Peaks," scored her ninth Emmy nomination in 1999 (for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series for her work on "Frasier"). She also appeared in "The Faculty" in 1998 and stayed within the horror genre for her most recent acting credit in 2012's "Bad Blood." In 2011, Piper released her book "Learning to Live Out Loud: A Memoir," in which she recounted her brief affairs with Ronald Reagan and Mel Gibson. (Additionally, the "Carrie" actress, who is also a sculptor, married and divorced journalist Joe Morgenstern, with whom she shares an adopted daughter.)
Dana Ashbrook starred on "Twin Peaks" as Laura Palmer's cocaine-dealing boyfriend, Bobby Briggs.
Dana Ashbrook, who's set to return to the 2017 "Twin Peaks" revival, went on to portray Rich Rinaldi on "Dawson's Creek" from 2002 to 2003. In 2009, he starred as Jimmy on the second season of Starz's "Crash." In recent years, he's also popped up on episodes of "White Collar," "Blue Bloods," "Psych," "Rosewood" and "Chicago P.D." In August 2015, Dana wed actress Kate Rogal.
Grace Zabriskie starred on "Twin Peaks" as Laura Palmer's psychic mother, Sarah Palmer.
Grace Zabriskie, who's set to return to the 2017 "Twin Peaks" revival, went on to star as Lois Henrickson on "Big Love" from 2006 to 2011. She also appeared in "Bastard Out of Carolina," "Armageddon," "Gone in Sixty Seconds" and "The Grudge" and popped up on "Seinfeld," "The Killing" and "Ray Donovan." Most recently, she had a role on Netflix's "Santa Clarita Diet." Grace, who is also a sculptor and furniture artist and released a book of poetry in 2010, has been married three times. As of 2011, she's lived with her partner of 20 years, Philip Horowitz. She has two daughters, artist Marion Lane and Helen, who died of Hodgkin's disease in 1993.
Richard Beymer starred as the wealthy and ruthless businessman Ben Horne on "Twin Peaks."
Richard Beymer, who's set to return to the 2017 revival, hasn't worked as much as his "Twin Peaks" co-stars since the original series went off the air. He had stints on "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" and "Murder, She Wrote" and appeared in the films "My Girl 2" and "Foxfire," but between 2001 and 2017, the reclusive actor (pictured in 1990, the last time he was professionally photographed) only worked once: in a 2008 short film called "Sadie's Waltz." In 2007, the "West Side Story" star released a fictional autobiography, "Impostor: Or Whatever Happened to Richard Beymer?"
James Marshall starred as Laura Palmer's secret boyfriend, James Hurley, on "Twin Peaks."
James Marshall, who's set to return for the 2017 "Twin Peaks" revival, went on to star in 1992's "Gladiator" and "A Few Good Men." After that, his career cooled. He's appeared mostly in made-for-TV movies, had an uncredited role in 2002's "High Crimes" and popped up on an episode of "CSI" in 2003. He reportedly married his second wife, actress Renee Allman, in 1998. They have one son together. In 2010, James sued Roche, the manufacturer of the acne medication Acutane, alleging that the drug caused bowel problems that resulted in the removal of his colon and harmed his career. Ultimately, he lost the case.
Kimmy Robertson starred as Lucy Moran, the receptionist at the Twin Peaks Sheriff's Department, who has an off-and-on relationship with Deputy Andy Brennan, on "Twin Peaks."
Kimmy Robertson, who's set to return for the 2017 "Twin Peaks" revival, enjoyed a fruitful career as a voice actress throughout the '90s, though she's since worked less in that field. (She voiced the feather duster in the animated "Beauty and the Beast" movie.) She also appeared in the films "Leprechaun 2, "Speed 2: Cruise Control" and "Stuart Little" and had stints on "The Louie Show" and "Ellen." Kimmy was reportedly briefly married during the early aughts.
Everett McGill starred as James's uncle, "Big" Ed Hurley, who runs the local gas station and is having an affair with Norma, on "Twin Peaks."
Everett McGill, who's set to return for the 2017 "Twin Peaks" revival, appeared in "The People Under the Stairs," "My Fellow Americans" and "Jekyll Island" and popped up on an episode of "JAG" before retiring from acting in 1999. The reclusive actor (pictured in a still from "Twin Peaks") hasn't been photographed professionally since the early '90s.
Warren Frost starred as physician and coroner Dr. Will Hayward on "Twin Peaks."
After "Twin Peaks" came to an end, Warren Frost appeared in "Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit" and had stints on "The Byrds of Paradise," "Matlock" and "Seinfeld" (pictured). He retired from acting after appearing on the 1998 finale of the iconic sitcom, though he briefly emerged from retirement to shoot scenes for the "Twin Peaks" revival before he died at age 91 on Feb. 17, 2017. The former Navy officer, who invaded Normandy on D-Day, was married to Virginia Calhoun for nearly seven decades. They had three children: actress Lindsay Frost and sons Scott Frost, a novelist and photographer, and Mark Frost, who co-created "Twin Peaks" with David Lynch. (Catherine Coulson, who played The Log Lady, and Miguel Ferrer, who portrayed Albert Rosenfield, also shot scenes for the "Twin Peaks" revival before they died — she in September 2015 and he in January 2017.)
