Jackass movie and TV stars: Where are they now?

"Jacka**" — the MTV docu-series that chronicled stunts and pranks pulled off by a crew of loveable maniacs — spawned several feature films and many spinoffs while winning fans across the globe. Now a fifth film is here: "Jacka** Forever," which hits theaters on Feb. 4, 2022! To mark the don't-try-this-at-home movie's release, Wonderwall.com is catching up with the franchise's stunt-loving stars to see how they've changed over the years.

Remember when Steve-O — who was recruited to join the "Jacka**" crew while working as a clown at the Swap Shop flea market in Fort Lauderdale, Florida — "walked" a tightrope across a pool of alligators with chicken meat hanging off his jockstrap in 2002's "Jacka**: The Movie"? Yeah, you do.

Steve-O went on to star on the "Jackass" spinoff "Wildboyz" from 2003 to 2006. He also appeared on "Totally Busted" in 2003, popped up on an episode of "The O.C." in 2006, headlined the short-lived 2007 show "Dr. Steve-O," competed on season 8 of "Dancing with the Stars" in 2009, hosted the first season of "Killer Karaoke" in 2012 and 2013 and acted in the 2015 action flick "Barely Lethal." In 2020, Steve-O released the made-for-TV film "Steve-O: Gnarly" which chronicles his wild life as a stuntman. The animal rights activist and aspiring stand-up comedian — who struggled with depression and drug-related issues and did several stints in rehab during the early years of his career — has now been sober since 2008. In late 2015, he spent eight hours in jail for a dangerous stunt he performed as part of a protest of SeaWorld. Over the years, the prankster has been romantically linked to many famous faces including Nicole Richie, Elisabetta Canalis, Kat Von D and Stacey Solomon. In 2018, he became engaged to stylist and designer Lux Wright.

Johnny Knoxville, who memorably donned a beekini during season 1 of "Jacka**" on MTV, was the unofficial leader of the crew.

Johnny Knoxville parlayed his "Jacka**" fame into a legitimate acting career. He's appeared in several films since the show took off including "Men in Black II," "Lords of Dogtown," "The Dukes of Hazzard," "The Ringer," "The Last Stand," Amazon's "Elvis & Nixon" and "Bad Grandpa," which he also wrote. He also appeared on the "Nitro Circus" in 2009, created the 2010 show "Dudesons in America," has popped up on "Drunk History" several times since 2014 and had a role on the Emmy-nominated "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" special, "Kimmy vs. the Reverend," in 2020. In 2007, Johnny filed to divorce his wife of 12 years, Melanie, with whom he shares daughter Madison. In 2009, he and Naomi Nelson welcomed son Rocko Akira. They tied the knot the following year and welcomed a daughter, Arlo, in 2011.

Bam Margera (right) — who fell through a ceiling along with Johnny Knoxville while pretending to be diamond thieves in 2002's "Jacka**: The Movie" — was known for playing harsh yet hilarious pranks on his parents.

Bam Margera went on to star on the "Jacka**" spinoffs "Viva la Bam" from 2003 to 2006 and "Bam's Unholy Union," which chronicled his preparations to wed then-fiancée Missy Rothstein, in 2007. They divorced in 2012 and Bam married second wife Nikki Boyd, with whom he shares son Phoenix Wolf (born in 2017), the following year. (He was previously engaged to Jenn Rivell, but they parted ways back in 2005.) The former professional skateboarder also wrote, directed and starred in two independent films, 2003's "Haggard" and 2009's "Minghags," and released a handful of albums. He also addressed his issues with alcohol on "Family Therapy with Dr. Jenn" in 2016. Following multiple rehab stints, Bam revealed via Instagram in February 2021 that he was no longer sober and had been fired from filming "Jacka** Forever." After Bam allegedly harassed "Jacka**" co-creator and director Jeff Tremaine and fellow "Jacka**" star Johnny Knoxville on social media, Jeff was granted a temporary restraining order that in 2021 became a three-year permanent order. In August 2021, Bam filed a lawsuit against Jeff and "Jacka**" co-creator Spike Jonze, Johnny, Paramount Pictures, MTV and more citing wrongful termination. Johnny revealed in January 2022 that the only scene Bam filmed for "Jacka** Forever" would still be included in the movie. In September 2021, Nikki filed for custody of their son.

Chris Pontius, who rode a longhorn in 2006's "Jacka** Number Two," was known for his on-screen alter egos Pontius the Barbarian, Bunny the Lifeguard and Party Boy — and for his sick dance moves.

Chris Pontius went on to star on the "Jacka**" spinoff "Wildboyz" from 2003 to 2006. He also had a brief cameo in 2003's "Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle," starred in the 2010 Sofia Coppola-directed drama "Somewhere" and popped up on a 2012 episode of "Raising Hope." In 2004, he wed Claire Nolan, but it wasn't meant to be: They separated in 2009 and divorced in 2013. He later married Mae Quijada, with whom he shares son Axe, who was born in 2019. Chris still tours and performs live with some of his former "Jacka**" co-stars.

Ryan Dunn, a founding member of the "Jacka**" crew, memorably inserted a toy car into his, ahem, body… as part of a stunt during 2002's "Jacka**: The Movie."

Ryan Dunn, who went on to star alongside best friend Bam Margera on the "Jacka**" spinoff "Viva la Bam" from 2003 to 2006, served as the inspiration for Bam's film "Haggard," which is based on Ryan's real romantic history with an ex-girlfriend who cheated on him. He starred in the film and its follow-up, "Minghags," as well as the 2007 Jessica Simpson-led rom-com "Blonde Ambition" and a few other small independent films. The stuntman also hosted MTV's short-lived 2005 series "Homewrecker" and had just debuted as one of the hosts of G4's "Proving Ground" when he died in a devastating car crash after a night of drinking in Pennsylvania June 2011. Ryan and Angie Cuturic had been an item for nearly a decade when his Porsche, which was traveling at 130 mph, hit a guardrail and launched into the woods, killing him and passenger Zachary Hartwell.

You probably know actor-stuntman Jason Acuña by his stage name: Wee Man!

Jason Acuña occasionally appeared on "Jacka**" spinoff "Wildboyz" between 2004 and 2006. He also popped up on reality shows "Celebrity Paranormal Project," "Armed & Famous" and "Celebrity Circus" and had roles in a few small films including the Selena Gomez-led 2014 comedy "Behaving Badly." Wee Man still tours and performs live with some of his former "Jacka**" co-stars.

Preston Lacy frequently shared screen time with Jason "Wee Man" Acuña. In 2002's "Jacka**: The Movie," the odd couple dressed up as sumo wrestlers for one of their trademark sketches in which Preston chases Wee Man through public areas while they're wearing only underwear.

Unlike his former co-stars, Preston Lacy has yet to branch outside the world of "Jacka**" as a performer in a major way. He appeared in the 2006 Paris Hilton-lead comedy "Pledge This!," had a role in the 2007 crime-comedy "Christmas in Wonderland," appeared in the 2011 made-for-TV movie "A Holiday Heist" and, after a nine-year hiatus, made an appearance in the on-demand comedy movie "Guest House" in which fellow "Jacka**" stuntman Steve-O co-stars. The funnyman still tours and performs live with some of the "Jacka**" guys.

Professional snowboarder and stuntman Dave England was known for handling most of the stunts dealing with body functions on "Jacka**." Remember the vomelet? We sure wish we didn't.

Though he hasn't worked much in Hollywood aside from the "Jacka**" franchise, Dave England appeared in two small films in 2016: "The Bet" and "Natural Born Pranksters." He also starred opposite Tom Green in 2008's "Shred" and in its 2009 sequel, "Revenge of the Boarding School Dropouts." Dave has a daughter, Ruby, and a son, Roan, from his first marriage. In 2013, he wed Shawna Evans, with whom he shares sons Clyde and Van Alexander. He still tours and performs live with some of his former "Jacka**" co-stars.
