Our first twist of the season! This time, the first competition of the season wasn't for Head of Household. Instead, the first competition simply resulted in being able to protect some of the houseguests. Chris Williams, aka Swaggy C — the day trader from Connecticut — came out on top, and his prize was the ability to keep Group 3 and Group 4 safe from the first eviction. But with the winner of this new competition also came losers, and punishments were about to be handed out…

Meet BB Robo! In a new twist this season, one of the losers from the first competition wasn't technically allowed inside the house… well, physically, anyway! Virginian welder Sam Bledsoe was the unlucky houseguest who received the Robo punishment, meaning she was forced to play the game as a robot (she voiced the machine and interacted with fellow houseguests from a different room). This really messed up her social game in those crucial first days, which affected her ability to form alliances.

Pro football player Kaycee Clark was the other loser in the competition, but at least her sentence wasn't as bad as being a robot! The Arizona-based athlete received a punishment called the "Pinwheel of Doom" — which meant she got to wear this gorgeous unitard… all the time. And when the pinwheel started to spin, Kaycee had to stay in whichever room she was currently in until it stopped.

Ladies and gentlemen, we've got a showmance! It was like love at first sight for fierce competitor Swaggy C and Bayleigh Dayton, the flight attendant from Georgia! The two paired off quickly and got close during their first week under the "Big Brother" roof as fans watched the first showmance of the season blossom.

Another new twist on Season 20 of "Big Brother"? The introduction of Power Apps, which are granted to the top and least trending houseguest to either aid or hinder their game for the first three weeks. The first top-trending player of the season? Sam, the lovable Southerner who'd been forced to play as a robot for the first week. Her Power App was the Bonus Life, giving her the ability to give a fellow houseguest an opportunity to come back into the game after being evicted — but there was a catch! If she didn't use it during the first three evictions, the fourth evicted houseguest would automatically receive this power. As for the loser of the week…

Poor Fessy! Faysal Shafaat, better known as Fessy, a teacher from Florida, took the title of Least Trending the first week, meaning he was served with the first Crap App! He received the Hamazon app, which meant he was regularly given packages of ham that he had to then immediately consume. Gross! Since Fessy is Muslim and unable to eat ham, he was supplied with a vegetarian version.

What's "Big Brother" without some backstabbing? This time, houseguest Kaitlyn, the Nicole Richie lookalike, took it upon herself to make a big move — backdooring her pal Swaggy C. Though she originally nominated Scottie and Winston, it was all part of her master plan to get Swaggy out. Once Tyler won the veto and removed Scottie, Kaitlyn put Swaggy up.

Next up to receive the second Power App? Tyler, who was an instant hit with "Big Brother" fans who voted him as the Top Trending houseguest next. The lifeguard from South Carolina picked up the Power App called The Cloud, which granted him the power to make himself immune from nominations.

Rachel's turn! To her surprise, Rachel Swindler, the entertainer who hails from Nevada, was given the Crap App during the second week — which meant she was served with the Yell! app. What did that entail? Well, Rachel was constantly visited by an angry reviewer who would come yell at houseguests about their game for 24 hours. Like Yelp come to life!

Kaitlyn's tactics worked! Her backdoor plan to evict one of the season's top competitors resulted in Swaggy C being eliminated to the dismay of his showmance partner, Bayleigh.

Bayleigh took the Top Trending houseguest title in the third week, fresh off her beau Swaggy C's eviction. Her prize? The Identity Theft app, which would allow her to replace the nominations of a Head of Household with her own choices one week.

From Bayleigh to Haleigh! Texan college student Haleigh Broucher received the least coveted title in the house — Least Trending houseguest — during week three. She chose the Read It! Crap App, which required her to don a costume and recite the entire play of "Hamlet" off and on throughout the week.

Another blossoming showmance? Fessy and Haleigh seemed to be getting closer in the first few weeks of "Big Brother." But as this budding romance started growing, it seemed like another lady in the house was getting pretty close to Fessy too…

Kaitlyn Herman seemed like a fierce competitor in the house, but it was her social game that really got her into trouble — to the dismay of her boyfriend back home! Kaitlyn got flirty with fellow contestants Tyler, Cybersecurity engineer Brett Robinson and Haleigh's close pal Fessy, causing her boyfriend to pull his "show release," making sure he couldn't be talked about on the show.

Sam was crowned the fourth Head of Household and opted to nominate Haleigh and Kaitlyn for eviction. Fessy won the Power of Veto — which meant he had to choose between two ladies he'd been spending quite a lot of time with . He ultimately saved Haleigh over Kaitlyn and Sam was forced to nominate Maryland stay-at-home mom Rockstar in her place.

Adios, Kaitlyn! The life coach was sent packing next but was given the opportunity to return to the house courtesy of Sam's Power App, the Bonus Life App. Unfortunately, Kaitlyn couldn't solve the puzzle she needed to master in order to return, so she was evicted from the "Big Brother" house.

Though it didn't make the airwaves, houseguest JC Mounduix made headlines with some inappropriate behavior. CBS didn't consider any of it so bad that he should be removed from the game, but live-feed watchers were horrified when JC make sexual comments and gestures with an ice cream scooper aimed at female contestants. He also was accused of using the N-word during a conversation with Bayleigh and of asking Rachel if she was transgender. But those wouldn't be the only controversial comments under this "Big Brother" roof….

Rachel Swindler and Angela Rummans found themselves in hot water after making racially insensitive comments. Rachel compared her tan to Bayleigh's skin tone, saying "my stomach is as dark as Bay," while Angela said, "I'm looking ghetto here with the skin coloration." They were reportedly issued a warning by CBS after making the comments.

Another round of controversy! Fans were livid when Bayleigh made anti-Muslim comments while talking about Fessy. It all went down after Fessy made clear he wasn't a fan of the "Never Have I Ever" game that the houseguests were partaking in and expressed that he wasn't a fan of his showmance partner Haleigh getting drunk and talking about inappropriate things the game covers. This led to Bayleigh generalizing about his religion, referring to Muslims as "they" and saying he should go "find a virgin" and "go to Pakistan and go get you one."

The end of the Power and Crap Apps meant it was time for a new twist — the Hacker competition! Instead of being based on fan votes, this competition required the houseguests to use their skills in order to solve puzzles and become that week's hacker. If they succeed, their prize includes the ability to replace one of the week's nominations, select someone to participate in the Power of Veto competition, and prevent one houseguest from voting at the live eviction ceremony. So who won this powerful prize first? Haleigh!

A "Big Brother" baby? Though it didn't play out on the air, on the live feeds, Bayleigh dropped a bombshell to Haleigh in early August — there was a possibility that she could be pregnant with Swaggy C's baby. In response, Swaggy C, who was undoubtedly watching at home, tweeted some concerned emoji faces followed by "*logs off* #BB20." Bayleigh also shared that she wasn't comfortable taking a pregnancy test yet but would think about it the next week. Unfortunately for fans, she wouldn't be around long enough for that to come to fruition…

Bayleigh was shockingly sent packing from the "Big Brother" house next. So what caused this turn of events? Angela assumed Bayleigh was the hacker (despite it really being Haleigh) and accused her of it while executing her plan to backdoor the flight attendant. Bayleigh defended herself, resulting in an explosive fight in the house, and she was ultimately sent home.
