The second Republican presidential primary debate — which was hosted by Fox Business Network and Univision in California's Simi Valley on Sept. 27, 2023 — saw seven GOP candidates take the stage: North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum, former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, former South Carolina Governor and U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, businessman Vivek Ramaswamy, U.S. Senator Tim Scott and former Vice President Mike Pence.
Once again, former President Donald Trump — who remains the GOP frontrunner — skipped the debate, just as he refused to participate in the first one, which took place in August.
