Sad news broke on April 30, 2022: Naomi Judd — one-half of singing duo The Judds — is dead at 76. Her family announced that they'd lost the Grammy-winning music icon to "the disease of mental illness." Stars from the country music world, Broadway and Hollywood reacted to her death, taking to Twitter and Instagram to share their condolences. Billy Ray Cyrus, who is seen with Naomi and fellow country music star Randy Travis in 1996, wrote: "So sad at the loss of my friend and music legend @thenaomijudd. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends. As a fellow Kentuckian my hats off in honor of the legacy of music she shared with the world and the doors she opened for so many others like me."
