Donald Trump just made history.
On Aug. 24, 2023, Atlanta's Fulton County Sheriff's Office released a mug shot of the former president after he surrendered to authorities in a Georgia election interference case — his fourth criminal arrest of 2023.
Not only has he made history as the first U.S. president, sitting or former, to ever face criminal charges, but he's also the first to ever have a booking photo taken.
Social media users — including some notable names — shared their reactions to Trump's mug shot, as well as the information that appears in Georgia's Fulton County booking system: The Republican politician is listed as standing 6 foot 3 inches tall and weighing 215 pounds. It's been confirmed he self-reported those stats.

Donald Trump returned to Twitter, now known as X, on Aug. 24, 2023, hours after surrendering to authorities at the Fulton County Jail in Atlanta.
His first post since Jan. 8, 2021, featured his booking photo and the words,

Daughter-in-law Lara Trump posted a black-and-white version of Donald Trump's mug shot captioned, "LEGEND."

The first ever taken of a President of the United States," Piers Morgan wrote on X, formerly Twitter, later marveling that the former POTUS then shared the booking photo on his old Twitter account. "Trump's first tweet since January 2021… proudly posting his own mugshot," Piers wrote.
Piers later wrote on X in response to a story revealing that Trump's 2024 campaign immediately released a line of merchandise featuring his mug shot and the slogan "NEVER SURRENDER!":
