Recognize this young lady? It's Ariana Grande on the red carpet at her very first MTV Video Music Awards back in 2013. The pop star rocked a floral minidress by Kenley Collins but was without her now-signature ponytail that night. Ari sang "Baby I" and "The Way" during the pre-show that year.

Kanye West had a very special date for his first time at the MTV VMAs — his mother, Donda! The rapper brought his mom along to the 2004 ceremony, where he performed a medley of his tunes: "Jesus Walks," "All Falls Down" and "Through the Fire."
