A lot has changed since "Sister Wives" first debuted in 2010. When the show began, family patriarch Kody Brown was married to three women and was in the process of bringing another wife into the fold. At the time, the women all seemed fine with their arrangement, but things changed a little over a decade later.
In late 2022, Kody confirmed that three of his wives left him and that he was down to just one: Robyn Brown. It turns out that Kody is now okay with being a one-woman man: "I would never be interested in marrying again," he says in a new interview with Us Weekly, adding that he's "not a polygamist" anymore.
Still, the father of 18 has some thoughts about his ex-wives.

Christine Brown was the first "Sister Wives" star to leave her plural marriage, saying goodbye to Kody Brown in 2021 after 26 years of marriage. Christine, however, quickly moved on: She married David Woolley on Oct. 7, 2023.
Kody told Us Weekly of Christine, "I never felt like I had the right to say, 'Hey, listen, I don't love this woman. I want a divorce.' I never felt like that was in my wheelhouse, but it was in theirs. So Christine made a choice, and that's kind of where it's at. She chose to go, and it's a blessing and a curse. It's been very, very, very hard. But it was her being brave enough to do it, because I was never going to do that."
"I honestly haven't witnessed much of it," Kody said of Christine's new relationship, adding that he and his ex "don't associate almost at all."

In December 2022, Janelle Brown left Kody Brown, but he seems to be keeping the door open for a reconciliation. She, however, might not feel the same way.
"I can talk to Janelle all the time and say, 'Hey, what are we going to do? Are we going to reconcile this?' And she doesn't sound like she's interested in reconciliation," Kody told Us Weekly. "I mean, time changes things, and if you move forward with grace and forgiveness, maybe you'll find love in the end … even if not staying in the marriage."

When Meri Brown initially left Kody Brown in 2022 after 32 years of marriage, the former couple spoke of possibly getting back together. That hasn't happened.
"We started a breakup seven years ago and have been going through just a process of trying to figure out what to do," he told Us Weekly.

Although he now has just one wife, Robyn Brown, Kody Brown still plans to be an "advocate for plural marriage" and "marital freedom."
"I've lost my religion, but I am still leaning on and working on and building my faith," he told Us Weekly.
Reflecting on how much his family has changed over the past two years, Kody said, "Robyn and I are experiencing a death — the death of our family [and] this big family picture. We have different emotions at different times. And I'll be really honest, that has been hard on our relationship. … Divorce changes you. So, there's a lot going on with me that Robyn has to use a lot of grace and forgiveness for, because I'm not myself. It's an experience that I did not expect in my life and [it has] shocked me how it's played out."

Kody Brown has also come to realize that's he's the one who is being blamed for all the breakups — the public, by and large, has always sided with the women during spats.
"It affects me differently than it affects the viewer because I've got somebody trashing my reputation and I'm going, 'Holy cow. I can't believe that's happening,'" he told Us Weekly. "And the public's just going, 'Oh, we always thought this about you.' … There's no getting used to that level of criticism. I have to remind myself [that] your opinion of me is none of my business."
