Hurricane damage
Stassi Schroeder is expecting to give birth to her second child any day now, but her pregnancy took an unexpected (and expensive) turn: The nursery she and husband Beau Clark prepared for their new addition flooded as Hurricane Hilary passed through Southern California on Aug. 20.
The former "Vanderpump Rules" star shared video of water trickling out of two light fixtures and pouring in from several windows, causing a wall to begin cracking. "And I was having anxiety about getting the blinds and curtains done in time. My hormones have me legit sobbing right now. Our nursery," she captioned an Instagram Story.
The couple placed towels on the floor to try to soak up some of the water. "New baby's nursery. What are the odds that we can fix this before the baby arrives?" Beau captioned his own video while asking for referrals for general contractors.
Hilary, which was downgraded to a tropical storm, broke several rainfall records in the Los Angeles area, and Beau and Stassi were obviously not pumped about it.

Biz boss
Hailey Bieber is turning into her husband's unofficial business advisor.
On Aug. 20, Page Six reported that the model and Rhode skincare founder has been attending every meeting involving Justin Bieber's business affairs, and she's taking a larger role in plotting out his future.
"Hailey has taken control and is heavily involved. She's a part of meetings and she's talking a lot for him," a source said. "She's the voice. They're becoming this power couple. She's a big part of everything he's doing."
The report comes amid rumors of a feud between Justin and longtime manager Scooter Braun. Although insiders insisted Justin and Scooter haven't ended their relationship, most acknowledge that issues exist between the two men.
"Everything has been set up by Scooter since he was a kid. Justin is older, wiser and smarter and has started asking questions," one source said.

Coping
Katharine McPhee is still trying to pick up the pieces after her son's nanny was tragically killed in a freak accident at a car dealership earlier this month. "Katharine is beyond devastated. They were all very close and considered their nanny to be a part of the family," a source told Us Weekly. "They are doing anything they can to support her family and are helping to make arrangements for her family or have at least offered to."
The singer is taking a break from performing to stay near her son as she and her family mourn. "Katharine is not leaving her son's side and isn't leaving him unattended," the insider said. "Of course, he's too young to absorb the reality of what happened, but it doesn't take away from the pain that the situation has caused."

Investment opportunity
The one that got away! Mark Cuban has reveled that he was given an early opportunity to invest in Uber, but he ultimately passed on the deal. If he had taken it, his shares would be worth $2.25 billion today. During an appearance on Kevin Hart's "Hart to Heart" show, the "Shark Tank" star said he was asked for a $250,000 investment back in 2009, which would have given him 2.5% of the company. Mark was interested in the venture but felt that the company was valued a little too high at the time. Uber co-founder Travis Kalanick eventually found someone else to fill his spot. "[Travis] had an evaluation of like $10 million. I said, 'I'll do it at a $5 million evaluation for Uber.' [Travis] never came back to me," Mark laughed, adding that Travis "got somebody else." The Dallas Mavericks owner summed it up by saying, "Whoops."
Kevin told Mark that he was also given the early opportunity to invest in Uber, but he thought it was the "stupidest thing." Kevin was asked to invest $75,000 at the time. His share of Uber would now be worth hundreds of millions of dollars. "I still think about it to this day," the actor said.
Divorce behavior
Britney Spears doesn't seem to be missing a beat amid her divorce. On Sunday, Aug. 20, the pop star took to Instagram to share a topless video of herself set to Annie Lennox's "I Put a Spell on You." She then shared a video of a male pal licking her leg as she posed in a green mini dress and knee-high white boots. She was also pictured being held up by four shirtless men. "When you go to meet up with a so called 'friend' and drive an hour for chicken!!!" she wrote in the caption, referring to her late-night run to Dave's Hot Chicken in Oxnard, California — which paparazzi managed to capture. "Then you have to wait in the car and need to use the bathroom. … I knew paps were tipped off because the car I was in was never used before. … So how I was I followed??? Malibu Canyon Road is the most horrible road ever to drive on. … So what does a b**** like me do!!??! I put my green dress on and show up at my friends!!! I invited my fav boys over and PLAYED ALL NIGHT!!!"
RIP
The cast of "This Is Us" is in mourning Ron Cephas Jones. The two-time Emmy winner died on Aug. 19 from a long-standing pulmonary issue. "Life imitated art today, and one of the most wonderful people the world has ever seen is no longer with us," said Sterling K. Brown, who played Ron's son on the NBC drama. "Brother, you are loved. And you will be missed. Keep them laughing in the next phase of existence, and I'll see you when I get there."
Said Mandy Moore, "Getting to know and work with Ron on the wild ride of 'This Is Us' was the greatest gift — he was pure magic as a human and an artist… I will treasure all of the moments forever."
Chrissy Metz, meanwhile, called Ron "truly one of the coolest cats."
