Caught red handed!
"Cake Boss" star Buddy Valastro has been accused of stealing snacks from a cop show. In fact, he's been caught on camera pilfering snacks from the "On Patrol: Live" studios many times.
According to Page Six, people working on the "Cops"-inspired show noticed that snacks continued to go missing from their studio in Jersey City, New Jersey, so producers set up a Ring camera to catch the crook. Staffers were stunned when Buddy turned out to be the sticky-fingered mystery man.

Buddy Valastro walked away from the "On Patrol: Live" studios with "whole bags of things" including a full bag of dried mangoes, a source told Page Six.
"They got all this video of him not just grabbing an M&M, but taking full bags," the source said. "You're stealing from a police show. The show is all about law enforcement, and they always have cops in the studio."

Producers saw Buddy Valastro "purloining the pantry" at least "half-a-baker's-dozen times" in a week as they were "combing through" Ring footage to identify the snack thief.
At one point, the studio even spoke to the TLC star about his sticky fingers.

All's well that ends well! Buddy Valastro's rep said the TV star plans to make a cake for "On Patrol: Live" to make amends for his thieving ways.
"Lots of filming with Buddy's new shows on A&E, busy day filming, and Buddy walked into the wrong room," the rep said. "But who doesn't enjoy delicious dried mangoes and other healthy snacks! A man can't live on cake alone. Buddy will be replacing the dried mango snacks with a nice big mango flavored cake and sweets from Carlo's bakery!"

The snack thievery comes three years after Buddy Valastro suffered a freak hand injury that almost cost him his career. The hugely popular baker was hospitalized in September 2020 after he impaled his hand several times during an accident at his in-home bowling alley.
"I have a thing with my hands. If I get a paper cut on my hand, I'm p***** off. My hands to me are my lifeline of everything I do. And I wonder, 'Am I ever going to do what I used to be able to do?'" he later told People magazine.
After the accident — which caused nerve, tendon and muscle damage — Buddy had multiple surgeries on his right hand, which is his dominant hand.
Earlier this summer, he spoke to "Extra" about his recovery: "I don't think I'm going to be a hand model, but I have a lot of mobility and strength," he said. "I've got one more surgery I've got to get to get this finger straightened out."
He added that he was about "95%" healed at the time.
