Mel Gibson has been on a wild ride since he shot "What Women Want" in 2000. The 63 year old achieved major success when he directed and produced "The Passion of the Christ," which grossed more than $611 million, in 2004. By 2006, however, he was spiraling. He was arrested for DUI and his anti-Semitic outburst during the arrest — plus other racist comments he made in 2010 — led to him being blacklisted in Hollywood for nearly a decade. Mel launched his official comeback in 2016 when he directed "Hacksaw Ridge," which won two Academy Awards and was nominated for another four, including best picture and best director. He most recently starred in 2018's "Dragged Across Concrete." Mel's longtime wife, Robyn — the mother of seven of his children — filed for divorce in 2009, the same year he went public and welcomed a daughter with Russian pianist Oksana Grigorieva, with whom he had a tumultuous relationship laced with claims of domestic violence. He moved on with former champion equestrian Rosalind Ross, who's nearly 35 years his junior, in 2014. They welcomed a son together — Mel's ninth child — in 2017.
