On Aug. 20, 2021, the pups of "Paw Patrol" are hitting the big screen with the film "Paw Patrol: The Movie." In honor of these action-loving pooches getting their own feature, Wonderwall.com is taking a look at the actors playing the four-legged friends, starting with Iain Armitage, who voices Chase, a German Shepard who serves as a police pup.

Iain Armitage is one of the busiest and most well-known child actors these days. His most notable roles have been as Sheldon Cooper on "Young Sheldon" (the fifth season premieres on Oct. 7, 2021) and Ziggy Chapman on "Big Little Lies." More recently the 13-year-old has been getting into voice work with his role as Chase and young Shaggy Roberts in "Scoob!"

Kim Kardashian West has worn many hats in her life, but "Paw Patrol" marks her first foray into voice acting. Kim stays busy — very, very, busy — with reality television, co-parenting her four children with estranged husband Kanye West and leading companies like KKW Beauty and Skims. The bulk of Kim's acting prior to now has been playing herself (in movies like "Ocean's 8" and "Zoolander: Super Model") so this is a major shift for her. This was for the kids, she's explained. "My kids can barely believe it when I said I was going to be in it," she said on the 2021 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards.
Marty Muckraker, the anchor of the Adventure City News Network, is voiced by Jimmy Kimmel.
Jimmy Kimmel's day, er, late night job has been hosting "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" since 2003, but he's made time for plenty of other passions as well. He's done voice work in "The Boss Baby," "Garfield: The Movie" and "Teen Titans Go! To the Movies" and wrote the book "The Serious Goose." Jimmy uses his comedy skills to host award shows like the Oscars, the Emmys and even "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?" Jimmy is a devoted father of four with two adult children from his first marriage plus kids Jane, 7, and Billy, 4, from his second.
Yara Shahidi brings scientist Kendra Wilson to life.
Yara Shahidi rose to fame on "Black-ish" and then "Grown-ish." Yara maintains a busy schedule between studying at Harvard University, her activism in getting out the vote and ending poverty through education on top of her work in Hollywood. In 2020, Yara and her mother launched their production company, 7th Sun, which will produce a live-action version of "Peter Pan & Wendy" in which Yara, 21, will star as Tinker Bell. Kendra is not her first voice acting experience; Yara has voiced characters on "Trollhunters" and "3Below."
Dax Shepard, who shares two daughters with actress Kristen Bell, is perhaps best known for his role as a member of the Braverman family on "Parenthood" as well as for hosting his "Armchair Expert" podcast. He's also done a handful of movies like "CHiPS," "El Camino Christmas" and "Buddy Games." Dax has used his voice to bring animated characters to life before on "Ultra City Smiths," "Super Mansion" and "Robot Chicken."
Tyler Perry voices Gus, a truck driver in Adventure City.
Tyler Perry wears many, many hats. He's a prolific screenwriter, director, actor, show creator and producer. Among his long list of accomplishments include the "Madea" movies, shows like "Ruthless" and "Sistas" and owning his own movie studio, Tyler Perry Studios. He's even played landlord before, to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, famously lending them his Hollywood home and personal security team when they relocated to Los Angeles at the the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to "Paw Patrol: The Movie," Tyler has plenty coming up, like "The Jazzman's Blues," which he wrote and directed, the film "Don't Look Up" and another Madea movie, "Tyler Perry's A Madea Homecoming," which is expected to premiere in 2022.
Butch, a security guard, is voiced by Randall Park.
Randall Park achieved mainstream success in 2015 when he landed a lead role on ABC's "Fresh Off the Boat." He's parlayed that television hit into work on different projects like the rom-com "Always Be My Maybe" and "WandaVision." Randall has used his success to elevate the voices of other Asian American performers with his production company, Imminent Collision. His next project is another voice role, this time on the show "Human Resources" alongside Aidy Bryant and Keke Palmer.
Marsai Martin voices Liberty, an ally of the PAW Patrol.
Marsai Martin launched her career alongside Yara Shahidi on "Black-ish," but she's been doing plenty of voice work in between. Marsai has lent her voice to "Goldie and Bear," "Dragons: Rescue Riders" and "Vampirina." With her sitcom preparing to air its eighth and final season, Marsai is focusing more on upcoming projects like the film "Fantasy Football" and the audio series "Free to Fall," which is based on the YA book of the same name.
Keegan Hedley plays Rubble, a bulldog who works in construction.
Keegan Hedley has been voicing Rubble on "Paw Patrol" projects since 2017. Keegan also voices Daniel Tiger on "Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood," making his voice popular with young kids. His next project is a little less kid-friendly — the TV series "Chucky."
Rocky, a recycling pup, is voiced by Callum Shoniker. Callum got his big break playing Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg's son in "On The Basis Of Sex." He's voiced characters on the "Paw Patrol" series as well as on "Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood" and "Go, Dog, Go." He'll step in front of the camera for the upcoming holiday film "A Christmas Letter."
Will Brisbin voices the leader of the PAW Patrol team, Ryder. Will, a Canadian teen, has had some bit parts on Canadian television shows and shorts, but this is his most major role to date. Up next? The television movie "Life Undercover."
Kingsley Marshall plays firefighting Dalmatian dog Marshall — a character he also voices on the television show. The young actor makes his big screen debut with "Paw Patrol: The Movie" six years after scoring his first job playing an orphan in the TV movie "It's a Wonderful Mic."
Lilly Bartlam brings Skye, an aviator pup, to life. Lilly has been voicing Skye since 2018 on the "Paw Patrol" miniseries and subsequent television show. The teen has already built an impressive Hollywood resume, lending her voice to shows like "The Magic School Bus Rides Again," "Creative Galaxy" and "Total DramaRama." The trained dancer has also done work on camera on shows like "The Handmaid's Tale" and "Dot."
Shayle Simons voices Zuma, an aquatic rescue pup. Shayle joined the "Paw Patrol" television show in 2019 and landed a role in the film as well. The Canadian performer has done a fair amount of voice work despite his young age, providing vocals for "Let's Go Luna," "Corn & Peg" and "Llama Llama," among others.
